HiI cant get bbc sounds to play on my various sonos speakers when i use Alexa. I have it set up as a skill but when i ask Alexa to play Radio 6,  it says on my speakers , playing Radio 6 on bbc sounds but it dosnt play anything.  All was working before untill i bought a ring doorbell  Would be grateful for any help  Thanks

Hi all … well known topic I know, and has been asked before. I’m having troubles with my playbase, it was working fine until a few days ago when it just stopped being recognised by the Sonus app, the whole “front room” of PB, sub and 2 x play 1’s disappeared. I have re-established a connection with the 2 x play 1’s and also the sub, however mega problems with the playbase. If I hardwire direct to router then all is fine, but when I try to use it via wifi it can’t establish a connection. I will try n run a diagnostics check soon (when I find out how!), and post the result on here. Many thanks in advance - Ian

Hi all,So based of advice I was given by both Sonos and my local home theatre installation guys, I upgraded the ceiling speakers in my living room to Sonance Architectural so I could enable a Trueplay tune of the room. After lots of back and forward with support I have since learnt that their documentation was not clear and that a Connect:Amp can only support Trueplay when those speakers are being used as surrounds. (What a waste of $1200!) Anyway instead of giving Sonos another $1000 for a new amp, I was wondering if anyone knows if I can just buy a second hand Sonos Beam, add it to the room where the ceiling speakers are and then will that enable me to do a Trueplay tune of the entire room? I can pickup a Beam Gen 1 for around $300 so seems like a much cheaper alternative if it will work. Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys, I need your help.I have two sonos Era 300 as surround setup with my arc and sub 3.now I know the front speakers on era 300 are disabled (big shame on sonos not to give us option to choose if we want them to hear or adjust) now even when I remove them from surround and play atmos music on apple music via Sonos or any music I cannot still hear the front speakers at all. Are they working at all? It is very unlikely that both brand new Era 300 are broken. Is there any way how to test the front speakers on his own please? Any links? I have tried everything youtube videos, atmos music, flac music, mp3 and still cannot hear them at all music comes from behind. Now like I said this is happening even when they are not part of surround and setup as stereo speakers. It will be really helpful if Sonos give us possibility to control the front speaker and others as well to test them to make sure that all works properly. I wish we could have the option of either adding front 300s or at the very least, being able to control the front side speaker volumes to help create a wider front sound field.  Question is, is this even possible with firmware or software updates or would this require a whole new Arc, which would be ok too.

I am getting beyond frustrated the last couple months. My Sonos Arc drops sound/skips frequently. I have a Samsung 4k OLED tv less than a year old. The arc is less than a year. I tried all new cables. Rebooting, updates all new. Contacted Sonos, they blame Samsung, contact Samsung, they are just stupid to deal with and keep passing me around to no resolution. Sonos has no issues when I stream music through the app. no one will help me with exchanging the Sonos bc it they blame each other.  Is there a resolution out there for these issues? A product I can buy? Or something unrelated out there I haven't thought of?  thank you 

Hello, my sonos Beam 1 has been fine for about a year, but gas recently disconnected its self and despite the sonos app recognising its presence, it doesn't automatically associate and connect to my WiFi. App requests manual inputting of WiFi and password address and then fails to connect. I have tried all available resets. My WiFi works consistently well with the 4 x Play 1s I have.

Hi,I have been spending quite a few hours trying to put my pair of ERA 100 speakers to join my beam.1- Did try to setup wifi differently (changed channel, and alot of other settings like QoS to try to see if it was an issue with the router, but its not)2- Did try to fix my SONOS devices ip addresses (Now my device are fixed but the problem persist)What i observe is this:1 - I can join my ERA 100 no problems in pair.2- The Beam is connected through optical to my TV3- I can unjoin the pair with no problems. (when i try to make the surround, i make sure they are not joined) 4- I can play music on all my devices (The pair, the beam and the Symfonisk)5- As soon as i try to “Set up Surrounds”, everything starts but at some point it never ends. On the 10 time or so i did try, only one time the setup finished with a “victory chime”. But then, my ERA speakers are “offline”, power cycling them will not bring them back up, i have to reset to factory to get them to work again. I am able to replica

Hi. I’ve checked the forums for over an hour and nobody seems to share this particular setup. I’ve had this SONOS ZP100 setup for over 20 years. Others have had similar complaints that a song will play for a bit, give an error message (“connection to (music source) lost”), and skip to the next song. But those questions all deal with music services or networking issues. Mine isn’t that or I wouldn’t be posting.My music source is a 4Tb bookcase drive directly connected with USB-3 into my desktop computer. My ZP100 is hard-wired into my router with a CAT-5a cable, which in turn is hard-wired into my desktop, also with a CAT-5a cable. (Yeah, I know, quaint, amirite?) So no wireless involved and therefore no interference.If I play the same song on Media Player, VLC Media Player, or any other MP3 player on my desktop, all is good. But my SONOS system no longer reliably plays music that’s literally hard-wired to it.Here’s a sample error message from the log.“Saturday, November 4, 2023 - 15:32

After two years of no problems my Arc will no longer communicate with my LGCX via eArc. The Arc works via the app (I can stream music) but the sound bar won’t play sound from the TV.  What was working this morning isn’t working this evening.  Nothing has changed.   I reran the setup via the Sonos app but now the eArc setup won’t complete successfully.  

Hi guys,  Just wondering if the Sonos Roam can work both on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wifi network?, I tried it on the 2.4 GHz and it’s working, then I transitioned to the 5 GHz and it’s not working. Any better alternatives or can it also work if you set up a Mobile hotspot on your device? I can also use a Wifi device, (Samsung) Galaxy 5G Mobile Wi-Fi SCR01 specifically if outdoors, would that work? 

Hi,is it still possible to downgrade SMB on a Synology DSM 7.2.64570 update 3 so it will work with Sonos V1? So far I’m still on 7.1.1 with a downgraded SMB service 4.15.9-0642 but I would like to use the new features of 7.2 for my photo collection that is on the same NAS as my music.Cheers

Can I use ray with a play 3?

Wondering if any suggestions for this new to me problem. Sonos Move is fully charged, white light, and connected to wifi. However when I press the bluetooth connection button the light flashes red for a number of seconds and then returns to white light. I do not seem to be able to connect to bluetooth. I have updated the Sonos software and rebooted it. Any other suggestions for resolution?

Hellohaving some issues with Sonos and Spotify today. Sometimes can’t see the system at all. Sometimes the Sonos app can’t connect to a local player, then it can and we can start music from Spotify but it later cuts out. It’s driving my daughter mad.  Play3 x2. Play1 in stereo pair Diagnostic 910843077

Okay… my Sonos Connect is wired to an amplifier (Acurus) and I have speakers (Vandersteens) connected to the amplifier. When I use line-in to listen to records the sound cuts out. Often, more out than in. Why the heck would it do that and how do I fix it? Since almost all of this is analog and all of it is wired, I don’t understand how this could be a wi-fi or SonosNet or router issue. I do also have several Sonos speakers in the house, all of them wireless, and this isn’t happening with those speakers. The Connect goes to my router via Ethernet cable. Help?thank you

Hi, I have a Sonos Connect:Amp connected to a pair of Sonos SP100 speakers, and I’d like to upgrade to a newer Sonos product, mainly for Airplay compatibility and general flexibility of use, and hopefully better sound quality of course. I use my sound system in the living room, which is roughly 20’x16’ (6mx5xm). I listen mostly to classical music; we also like to be able to use the sound system when watching films etc. Ideally I’m looking for a good overall sound from any point in the room, rather than one sweetspot… My hesitation is between these 3:Sonos Amp (connected to my old SP100 speakers) Sonos Five Sonos Era 300 Any recommendations? I have a PLAYBAR, SUB, and a pair of PLAY 3s.   I am unable to select those speakers from my phone, if I want to stream a podcast, for example (they work just fine otherwise).   I was told by SONOS that it is because they are older, and do not have Bluetooth, but if I ADDED a simple SONOS Bluetooth speaker to the system, that I at that point would be able to select the entire system to play, from a phone source like a Podcast. Does that seem correct, and would a ROAM speaker qualify for that?  It is Bluetooth capable. Thanks

Hello All,I have an Arc/One SL/Sub surround sound in my living room, a One SL in the dining room, and a Move in the kitchen to cover my main floor. When I try to group the speakers on that floor with the surround sound being the source (connected to a Vizio TV with the actual source being an Apple TV), the dining room plays fine, but the Move in the kitchen is glitchy if it plays at all. It does get better if i change the delay on the surround, but then the dining room, which was playing fine before, is obviously out of sync with the living room, and I can’t just blast the music if the delay is increased. I did some reading in the forum and it sounds like the Move just isn’t built to handle grouping well. I was wondering if there was any improvement with the Move 2? I like the Move in the kitchen because I can grab it and take it to the deck outside the kitchen, but I’m still limited to starting music directly to it. Anybody know if grouping is better on a Move 2?

Recently purchased Sonos One SL speaker. I keep losing Spotify. In fact despite constant unplugging, rebooting, factory reset, it’s probably getting worse. Last time didn’t finish 1 song, which brought me here. Sirius XM works fine. I just got a new modem provided by my ISP. Has wifi 6 capability. problem existed before the change. I have full wifi bars. Signal is definitely not an issue. Unless I get this resolved, I will be returning it. I own Bose, Monster, Sony, No Bounds, Google mini, no problem with any of these units. Not to mention numerous types of ear pods, also no issues. And based on the number of similar complaints everywhere I look online, I’m not the only person with a similar problem. Extremely frustrating!

Hi, I'm looking for a solution that allows me to send an analogue signal via an auxiliary to the Toslink port on the Ray sound bar. I have noted that the old ZP90 can uprate and send a digital signal from the optical output.my concern is the S1 and S2 apps and the compatibility of the 2 components, is anyone doing this already or any suggestions ?    thank you
