Hi there, I recently repaired (what i guess is a gen 1 play 3 as it doesn't have a play button - just mute and volume) and all worked great - updated it to S2 app and connected via 5Ghz no worries.Then repaired a gen 1 play 5, connected using S1 app as gen 1 play 5 not supported in S2 app.. Realised it had connected to the 2.4ghz after getting some drops while playing Spotify. Tried all manner of resets and router settings to get it to show the 5ghz network but no joy.Can someone who knows for sure let me know if it has 5ghz wifi at all? Just assumed it would as the play 3 does - which I guess is from the same generation. Thanks for any help 👍 

Hello: I’m trying to understand if connecting a pre-amp powered turntable to a port will enable me to play vinyl across my current system. Entertainment roomArc Amp (aux disabled) 2 pair Sonance in ceiling speakers connected to Amp as surrounds.  1st gen sub3 other RoomsSonos Play:1i had to disable my Amp’s aux port for surround to my ceiling speakers, and am curious if hooking a turntable up to a port and connecting that to my system will deliver sounds across this system and other rooms. sorry if this has been answered.

Sonos one sl speakers no longer play music. They appear in air play menu and can be selected. Apple devices think they are are playing, but no sound comes out. Tapping on the speaker top to change volume moves the volume bar on apple devces, but there is no sound. Actually they play about .5 second burst and then go silent.  I have a home pod which continues to play but all other rooms are quite.  I thought I would reset them, but the Sonos app says I am not on the internet, but obviously I am.frustrated in St. Louis

Hi there! I’ve been having significant issues with my Sonos system for the last few months; these issues have happened in the past but always resolved themselves. Issues such as rooms dropping completely from the UI, rooms not being able to be added to a group, rooms dropping music when grouped, not being able to connect to SiriusXM, etc.I’ve been doing a lot of searching and reading here and on Reddit, and decided to wire as many of my devices as possible and move off SonosNet to my wifi network. Some info about my system:2 Arcs, each paired with an Amp and Sub (2 TV rooms) 2 Ones paired in one room 3 additional Ones in other rooms (screened porch, garage, kids room) 2 additional Amps (patio, gym) 9 Ports 1 Move, 1 Roam Ubiquiti dream machine with many managed switches and 7 backhauled APs, latest protocol. I have tried to add my iTunes Library on my PC to SONOS.  When I did that my PC’s Sonos App showed Music Library >Indexing.  Indexing has been going on for about 10 hours and is not yet complete.  I have approximately 2,500 music files.  Indexing over 10 hours seems much longer than what I have read is typical. Can someone provide ideas of what to do nextThanks

Hi - I’m about to purchase a Samsung s90c, but before I do I wanted to check if anyone has had any compatibility issues with the Sonos Arc. I originally had a Samsung q90T that I’m getting rid of - it has an issue with my Sonos Arc where the sound will cut out for a second every 15-20 minutes when Atmos is turned on via my PS5. When I had my playbar connected to it, it had awful sync issues. Needless to say, the Q90t has to go. But if anyone here has experienced issues with the Samsung s90c please let me know. I’m also considering the LG c3 but I don’t like the picture quality as much.

I have moved into a houseshare which has an existing system of Sonos speakers (using the S1 app) and am trying to set up my own speaker for my room (Sonos One SL) on the S2 app, however everytime I sign in - it just prompts me to join the existing network and won’t allow me to set up my product. The top three options in settings (Account, System, Services) are all greyed out. I have tried to downgrade my product but it can’t find it on the system even after restoring my sonos to factory settings.Is there a way that I can set up my speaker on the same wifi network as the S1 speakers as the app is currently preventing this!

I bought an ARC and Sub + a Move and just purchased 2 - ERA 100's.  I'm wondering if I should have purchased another Move instead of the ERA 100's.  Can the Move's be paired with the ARC/Sub vs 2 ERA 100s

My daughter has moved into a new flat that uses a shared community fibre broadband and we cannot set up her Sonos 1.  We have tried resetting on numerous occasions but to no avail. We can’t use an Ethernet cable as there isn’t a modem in their apartment. Any ideas please?

Hello!  I need Sonos suggestions for the following requirements.Music for my living room that opens into a patio and pool.  So, i need to play music in my living room only sometimes, sometimes only outdoors in the patio and sometimes both.  There’s not TVs involved.So, ideally in the living room i need an amp and speakers. it’s a large space and i wouldn’t mind ceiling speaker solutions.  is a soundbar a good idea with a sub and satellite ceiling speakers?  is there a limit to how many speakers i can add?  For the patio i need weatherproof speakers for sure.  will the same amp be able to power all the speakers?Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks!

I have the base turned all the way to 10 on the Arc sound bar and when I am watching Xfinity thereis No base sound at all.  When I watch Netflix it is better.  We do not have a woofer.  I thought we did not need a woofer with the Arc sounder.

Our wired “dumb” speakers keep cutting out.  They are not wireless, they don’t have an IP address.  They are old fashioned speakers hard wired into the Connect Amp.  And they cut in and out repeatedly.I have read the forum answers relating to this issue with Sonos speakers but haven’t seen anything with dumb speakers.  I wouldn’t expect to get assistance from Sonos as they are not Sonos items.  But it’s incredibly annoying.

I read on this forum yesterday that your Atmos speakers will not play Atmos if you group one non Atmos speaker. So my question is that I group my LIving Room (Arc with two play 3 speakers as surronds) with my Office (Era 300) If I play Atmos albums from Apple will I get them in Atmos with the two play 3’s TIA Steve

After a power interruption Sonos won't respond to Alexa command. So I went to the Alexa app and disabled the Sonos skill.  Thereafter, I enable the skill. While my Alexa account get linked with Sonos, once the Alexa app looks for a device to connect, it cannot find my Sonos.  How do I fix this?   And when I tried to add Sonos voice, it does not fully install and I get a message that there was something wrong.  I checked the wifi connection and the Sonos app indicates the signal is excellent.  Now I do not have either voice command. 

Hello Sonos gurus, my current setup in my 2 room apartment is:Android phone playing YouTube Music/TuneIn/whatever via BT Bedroom has a Como Audio Solo + Como Ambiente, forming a nice little stereo setup which recieves BT and duly plays the audio Living Room has an Aiyima D03 BT amp, which recieves the BT audio and powers 2 small but powerful-enough-for-me bookshelf speakersIt works just fine, except that I’m always moving between the rooms, and hence am always disconnecting & connecting the Como and the Aiymima on my phone. This is very tiresome.Hence, I am very interested if 2 Connects could be grouped together in order to play audio in both rooms without the faffing around. This seems a great fit for me if possible as I get to leverage my existing audio hardware.Since I’m a total Sonos n00b, I don’t really know where to start when determining if this setup is feasible and hence a few pointers / links would be fantastic.Cheers.

I’ve been a longtime user of a Sonos One that I love. I’ve been getting into vinyl lately, but since the Sonos One doesn’t have a line in, I decided to purchase a Move 2 so that I’d have the line in for vinyl, but also have some portability around the house when I’m streaming music.I guess the Move 2 was not made with turntables in mind, because it does not work well for this purpose. I’m using a Pro-Ject T1 (also purchased from Sonos) and I have the Move 2 set with line-in autoplay turned on. When I start playing a record, it takes the Sonos nearly 30 seconds to notice that something is playing and turn on, thus missing the first 30 seconds of the song. Once the record is playing, it sounds great.Once the A side of the record is done, and I flip the record over, the Sonos seems to detect the silence and turns off, and it takes 30 seconds to notice music is playing again. If I flip the record really quickly, it will usually play for about 10 seconds, and THEN turns off, before noticing

I tried to connect to my stingray app through Sonos 2. I received a error message. I uninstalled stingray and when I tried to reinstall it, it is not available anymore in the list of music service. Please put it back?

Is it possible to adjust and improve the sound output in the Sonos app or in any other way? Or do I need an additional soundbar for a good sound experience?Kind regards, Opus
