sonos what have you done ? the app was working fine - now a nightmare no group volume can’t shut music off in one room no sleep timer very very disappointed  

Wanted to download the Windows pc app to my notebook today since the phone and tablet version are so horrendous now Its gone!!  Only a web version which is not only the wrong way to do it its also missing the key functionality If sonos were trying to make me hate them and become an ex sonos user they couldn't have gone about it more efficiently 

App reinstalled because i could not get sound after attempting and failing to Trueplay and now i cannot get past the terms of use agreement . Allows me to select country but "accept" is still greyed out...any suggestions?

I am trying to update my Sonos app on my Mac and getting the message: “An unexpected error occurred. Please try again”

I own 2 homes with a Sonos system in each home. I have recently purchased a roam speaker and connected it to the Sonos system in 1 home.  Can I take this same speaker to the second home and connect it to that network without deleting the connection to the network in home number 1?

I just update my system to 16.2 using the new Sonos app. The update appeared to run smoothly with no glitches. After running update I checked the About in my system and it showed my Arc, all 4 of my Play1s, my two Play5s, and my Sub were on 16.2, but my two ERA300s (used as rear surrounds) still showed 16.1. I had the Sonos app check for updates and it stated my system was up to date. Anybody else had there ERA300s not update to 16.2?

Well, I dont know if I should cry or laugh.They have advertised this update to be oh so fantastic, but No!There are tons of thing wrong as you already can read in this forum and I will join the choir.I mostly listen to music from my own library and here is the first issue “My sources” is located in the bottom, so I have to move it to the top, but at the same time it shows “TV” as a source, why? I dont’t want that, I dont use sonos with my TV, I want to get rid of that.With more then 10000 tracks I used the alfabetical option in the old app to move fast down the list, but that is gone, why!! Now it takes forever to move down the list.The search bar doesn’t allow me to search my libray, why??Wheres the sleep timer?My primary streaming service is Telmore Music, is doen’t work! Hello has the forthcoming redesigned Sonos App (announced on 23rd April 2024) been tested for compatibility with the voice-over screen reader in IOS? I am totally blind and currently use sonos very successfully with the S2 app on both my Iphone and Ipad. can you confirm whether the app has been tested with voice-over and that it will continue to be accessible to voice-over users. I am slightly reluctant to update if the app ends up being less accessible to me. at present the current app works beautifully with the exception of a few minor quirks. I have a ASUS RT-BE96U and can’t get any of my Sonos to connect to the router. I’ve turned off Smart connect, factory reset, did everything with the chat services suggested. I can’t be the only one with this issue. If anyone figures it out, please share. 

Couldn’t help but notice that the mobile apps for Sonos have been pretty thoroughly broken. I can confirm that the S2 application for windows still works. Problem is, I cant find a copy of the installer. It seems to have been pulled in favor of a cloud based service with the same (lack of) functionality as the new mobile apps. I’m very unimpressed by the new cloud based service. If I had wanted an invasive web service in my home, I would have a house full of google products.Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the Sonos S2 Application Installer for windows?

I have a Sonos system with nine devices all running on a unifi network. It’s been working fine for 3+ yearrs. I recently had to reconfigure all the devices with static IP...no problem there.  Using the App most devices setup just fine BUT my playbar and one other speaker will not register.  It goes thru the whole setup, then says it found the device but until it gets registered of course it will not work.  I can see the device on my network controller but if I try to debug and go to <playbar IP_addr>:1400 that port does not respond.  It’s there but SONOS refuses to recognize it.Another query….if I plug in diretcly via ethernet the app does not find the playbar after a reset......so how can I setup the unit?   It has worked in the past since it has always been plugged in. Any help appreciated.ss

I have 5 speakers currently up and running, 4 directly connected to Mikrotik switches (STP works fine) and 1 connected to wifi (Ubiquiti).  I have no issues with any of these speakers or the network they are on.  I am trying to configure a new speaker using the new app, and I get nowhere (whether it is plugged in or not.)  The device shows up as a new product, I click Add (like I did with all the previous devices) and it says “Getting your <device> ready...” then fails and says the device lost connection, if it is wifi, the app says “Lets try this another way,” and has me connect to its wifi which works and I get to the next section where it plays the tone, then I get failures until it asks me to enter the pin, which it immediately fails.  I can see the mac address of the device on the router, it is pingable, and I can connect to http://<device>:1400/status/ifconfig and it displays the ath0, eth0, br0, and ra0 information fine...so the device is getting an IP address when p

I just got a Roam mostly for use in the bathroom. I also have an automation system (homey) that can control my Sonos speakers. Unfortunately that doesn’t work when the roam is in Sleep mode. It would be great if you could set a time at which the roam Automatically wakes up. That way I could make sure I have some nice music playing when i get in the shower. 

I am trying to connect my Sonos Move (1st gen) to my existing Sonos system. In the app, my Move shows in the system list of devices but it says “Not registered”. So I click on Fix It and follow all the steps. But always get the following messages during setup: ”There was a problem linking your Sonos Move to your account.”“There was a problem adding your Sonos Move to your system. Try again later.““We couldn't link your Sonos Move to your account. Check your Wi-Fi connection and try again later.”“Your Sonos Move has been added. Audio playback will be available once this product is updated and linked to your account.“ And then nothing. It just says contact supportI have done the following: Run the setup process several times  Factory reset the Sonos Move Restarted my phone  Rebooted my WiFi  Deleted and re-installed the appNothing works. The device is connected to the power supply.  Would greatly appreciate some help with this.

I have had a Sonos Play 3 speaker for a while now and control it using the S2 app on my iPhone X using the latest ios 16 software. The app has always been slow to start;  now however, with the speaker on and working normally and playing music from a internet radio station, when I launch the S2 app, it comes back with the message “unable to connect to Sonos - let’s fix it”.  It then takes me through a routine which involves re-booting my router and then it finds it. However, if I then put the iPhone down and it goes into standby, the app again fails to find the system; so back to square 1.I have found that, if instead, I launch the S1 app it finds my Play:3 OK but says “incompatible”, but if I follow the link “open Sonos S2 app” then the S2 app starts to work ! Still no good, because if I come back to the S2 app later - it’s failed again.There’s a solution on this community web site which says turning off “Private wifi address” in ios 14 is the solution, but this does not work for me.My

I have ray and era 100 how do I set up for surround sound have paired them but I think they're working as stereo not surround ?

I cannot connect my amp to the network.  When I try to, it tells me to press play and volume up but I only have mute.  So it fails.

Hey fellow Sonos fans!Got myself a 2nd gen Beam from someone on the web, was factory reset, connected it when home and started the process to add to my home system and it goes as far as adding it to a room but saying that it can't be used until it gets registered - which it continuously fails to do.Tried wifi, ethernet, no difference - actually no, there is a difference, when trying with ethernet, the chime with pin is not audible; when trying on wifi, it is but doesn't work. go figure - any help is appreciated as I'd hate to learn i got an expensive paper weight :(if this helps:Sonos OS: S2Version: 16.1.1 (build 78152020)Hardware Version: 1.35.1.6-2.1Series ID: A200Best,

Newbie here, I just got an audio-technica turntable (AT-LP3XBT). It has Bluetooth capabilities and I’m trying to connect it to my Sonos Arc. Is it possible to connect the turntable to the Arc directly and without having to purchase another speaker? 

I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a TV that support ARC (but not eARC). I no longer have any spare HDMI inputs for my bluray player now that I’ve plugged a Google TV streamer in to the TV. Not really a problem as we stream all movies that we watch now, however, I have some bluray disks with 5.1 channel music that I’d love to be able to listen to through the Beam.Jumping through hoops I’ve extracted the 5.1 sound files from the disk to a 5.1 LPCM .flac file, 48khz/24bits, and I put that on to my home network. The Sonos app can see the file, but when I try to play it I’m told “unsupported format”. So, is there a supported format I can convert the files to that the Beam can play directly?Casting the sound file to the Google TV also doesn’t play the files, although I can play them fine on my computer or phone. (Also using an app called BubbleUPnP on my phone or home network I can convert the files to 2 channel to play, but I want the Beam to be able to mix the 5.1 channels itself)

It’s been over two weeks since I purchased my Move 2 and I’m still unable to use it due to the new update.  Each time I try and add the speaker it says “Sonos needs local network access for set up.  In iOS settings, tap Local Network, then return to the Sonos app.”The “local network” is already toggled on, and when I return to the Sonos app, it redirects me to turn on “local network”… which is already turned on.  The app is stuck in circles with no fix to be found.  I can’t even use bluetooth on this speaker as you have to first set it up in the app.  It’s basically a $400 paper weight!  I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!  Sonos has not even bothered to informed us on when or if they ever plan on resolving this issue!I don’t care about alarm clocks or the new crappy interface.  I just want to use the damn thing!Oh, and good luck adding your new headphones to this nonsense! … Thinking of switching systems all together if this is how Sonos is gonna roll. 

Sonos error message “unable to play “song” connection to plex was lost”. Plex on Sonos can move between music folders and tracks, but once a track is selected same error message occurs.This started happening mid February 2024. In the past this has happened every time there is a new release of Plex media server. To fix the problem I would log into Plex media server on my Synology NAS DSM18+ running V6.0 to find a message that an update to Plex was available. Same message now, and new version of Plex media was server released Feb 13, 2024. New 64 bit version for Synology 6.0 installed ( stop Plexmedia server from running, download and install correck .spk file, re-start Plex media server). But problem persists.Sonos on iphone can play Amazon music and other apps- TuneIn fine. Plex by itself on iphone can play music from Nas fine.Sonos support contacted twice- Sonos re-booted, router/modem re- booted- no change. Speed of Internet checked and over 350 mbps/sec. Sonos deleted and re-install

Hi All,The new app from release, through to version 80.00.08 hasn’t been able to run Trueplay completely.  If I disconnect my Era surround and run Trueplay against my Arc and Sub it works fine.  Add the era’s and it fails each time.Arc is wired, sub and era’s are wireless.  Everything worked fine before updating to the latest app.Error msg: Run Trueplay; rotate phone listen to noises; move to next stage, walking around the room; at the end of this stage the yellow circle spins, reaches the top and does nothing.  Only option is to cancel.Has anyone experienced something similar?To add: Phone is iOS 14 Pro max, running iOS 17.5.I reached out to Technical support team on 8th May who were brilliant at diagnosing the problem but did not have a resolution.  

I know this has been asked before but the solution is not working!My partner keeps on unplugging a Play:1 speaker used as a surround speaker. Eventually it got so out of date I ended up factory resetting it. That was my mistake. After play:1 updated, when I tried to add it back into the system I got the response “Play:1 Not registered"I repeatedly tried to register it, responded to the tones but got no further. I reset it again, connected via Ethernet but still ended up  “Play:1 Not registered"Tried calling UK help but got message “wait time 180 minutes”, tried live chat but no one available.What else can I do?sonos app version S2 80.00.02
