Jacaranda 94.2fm in Pretoria, Gauteng isn’t playing on my Sonos today. It was working last night still.

Google is closing Google Podcasts April, 2024. Google suggests moving your podcast subscriptions to You Tube Music. So I did.Now, my podcasts are in my You Tube Music library, and I can play them from there. The podcasts also show up in YTM library on the Sonos app. But the Sonos app can not play them. When I try to play one, the Sonos app balks, and a slide-up message says “Unable to play [name of podcast episode] -the connection to You Tube Music was lost.” Other YTM  items - songs, playlists, etc., play through fine. And Sonos plays podcasts which were added to my YTM library from within YTM. Only the podcasts imported from Google Podcasts to my YTM library are affected. I suspect this is a Google problem, although it is unclear why the podcasts play in YTM but not in Sonos. Any insights?

I have a Sonos ray and trying to use it as a speaker with a MacBook m2. I have tried airplay but It’s annoying as it loses connection every time so I got a cubilux usb-c to optical cable output adapter but still no luck. Any helpers out there please?

It simply DOES NOT WORK!Some users complain about the missing features in your new en heavily promoted app. I would settle if I could just get my Sonos to work again!!! Since your new app from hell arrived, I havent been able to connect to my system. I have different generations and it all worked sort of well before, but now the Sonos S1 app kicks me on to your new app with a message that states "all my units are compatible but some may need an update". But your sh**** new app just keeps on crashing and is hard-wired to search for end prompt to endless updates that always ends with a "system 1000 error" on and on and on...and I have no freaking way to turn the non-functioning updates of or just return to Sonos S1!???!??Its so god damn' unbelievable how flawed this is. But here goes. Hi All,I’ve been fighting with my sonos speakers for about 5years now. I never seem to lose hope and each year I think I figure it out, then a few weeks go by and im back to square one. This year I really thought I had it figured out by creating a dedicated network just for my speakers and then advertising a 2.4Ghz only wireless network for that network which again only my speakers connect to. That way there is no more sonosnet. There is no other interference on the network.  Everything worked great for 16days and then i wake up to: Here is what the speakers look like on my network when this happens(notice the “wifi” column - theyre all dropped off from a router standpoint...but in the app theyre in a state where they are connected to the wifi, but they arent responding? how?..):So I reboot my entire network. All devices go offline. This is very disruptive, but its gotta work right?: ​Nope theyre jacked up still...everything else on my other networks are connected right back up. Sonos

Hello, This is a question that many Sonos users ask and it is true that resetting the router makes it work again. But it is not normal, that absolutely everything works perfectly, including three streaming services, but nevertheless Sonos fails. This is getting worse. I have to reset the router every fifteen days. I thought that with the new software it would fix it, but no. Even worse. At least you could indicate where the problem is, to see if there was something that could be done in the router configuration. Thank you.  

The Sonos 2 app doesn't work - it won't connect to my speaker. My android Bluetooth is working and finds the speaker. It trys to connect by it fails with a message that says I have to use the Sonos 2 app. The Sonos 2 app can't find my product.Please helpThis is so frustratingThanksRuss

Hi, I’m looking for a switch to select between inputs from a TV, (new) and an old hifi system.  I’ve got an analog to digital converter for the hifi system and using its optical output can connect it to the Sonos Beam gen 2. Likewise I can connect the tv to the Sonos Beam but I’d like a switch to avoid having to unplug the hdmi cable every time I change the source. What is the best switch solution for me?  Thank you. 

When I stream songs from Apple Music via the Sonos app, playback is occasionally interrupted with a message of 'Unable to play [insert song name] - the song is not encoded correctly'.It's unpredictable when it happens, sometimes it could be half way through a track and it occurs, also happens multiple tracks in a row. Other times it could go through multiple tracks with no issues then the error suddenly occurs.I've done all the troubleshooting stated on the Sonos website but I'm pretty sure my setup isn't the problem because I use a Radio App and also use YouTube Music via the Sonos app with no playback issues, the error just happens with Apple Music.Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Suggestions on a possible fix?

So I've tried everything tried over 15 times to connect to the app I tried customer support my father when he used to use these (yes they are so old they have been passed down) he said they were High maintenance but they won't even set up I've tried ethernet and WiFi it's just not working 

i am trying to get the connect gen 1 to connect a speaker which says needs downgrading to S1 but it wont do it 

I cannot access my Itunes Music or Playlists. I get the following error message "Unable to play song-cannot connect to my laptop/music because the server cannot be found." I can play all Sonos Radio channels without an issue. I am up to date with updates.

I’m trying to setup TruePlay on my 5.1 system which includes an Arc, the Sub and two Era surround speakers.  The TruePlay process runs through to completion on my iPhone but when I go back into the system the settings appear not be have been saved.I’ve run a couple of other tests.  If I remove the Era 300s from the 5.1 system and set them up as a stereo pair TruePlay works on both individual systems: Arc+Sub & Era 300 stereo pair.The problem is therefore when I merge all four items into one 5.1 system.Is this a known issue?Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be resolved?

What is the best mesh network for SonosI need large coverage and seamless Sonos connection even if I move my roam from house to the yard.

I just bought the headphones and when I swap with the Arc it plays perfectly for 5-10 seconds then my tv goes black almost like the tv turned off but it is still powered on. I use an Apple TV and was wondering if anyone else is having an issue? 

Hi,My beam gen2 is connected to my WiFi and I am playing music too it now but when I try and add any voice assistant, it doesn't matter which one,  all I get is 'there was a problem connecting to your device' message.  I have tried all the usual things, reboot router and so on, but the device is obviously connected as I'm playing music and can see it within the Sonos app.I'm out of ideas 

I recently purchased a SONOS BEAM and an IKEA SYMFONISK.I was able to set up the SYMFONISK as surround speakers for the BEAM.However, I would like to use the infonisks as stereo speakers and not play the BEAM when I am playing music, and only revert to the surround system when watching movies etc.Is it possible to set this up?

I’ve been struggling with this new app for two hours now. So many things are missing or difficult to use compared to the old app. Please, can you continue to make the old app available for people who still prefer to use that one. I was fine with that app, and would like to revert to using it. Please give us a way to do that.

I have purchased two Beam (Gen 2) speakers from the same store and same palate lot. Both complete the setup process connecting to the 2.4 GHz WiFi band before returning an error 1101 when attempting to update the firmware after which the setup completes with a tone but the speaker disappears from the Sonos app upon clicking Done. I confirmed each was connected to my WiFi network and was pingable.  I tried connecting to an existing system and each time the Sonos app found the speaker and connected before immediately disconnecting again. I tried the same thing with the speaker connected via Ethernet with the same result. I factory reset each speaker, reset the Sonos app and started setup again with the speaker connected via Ethernet but it still failed. I even tried deleting my new Sonos account, creating a new one, factory resetting the speaker and starting all over again with no success. My only conclusion is that I bought two speakers from a bad lot where the initial failed firmware t

Just loaded the new app.  Speakers and Port work but Roam SL cannot connect. “Unable to connect.  Try again later”. The roam shows up and I connect and Apply, but that’s all folks. No connection.

I am replacing my current system (dumb tv, a/v receiver, subwoofer amp) with a new smart TV and Sonos system. Existing equipment that I plan to keep are DirecTV box and 4 ceiling speakers in TV room (center ceiling speaker in front of tv and subwoofer are also present, but not planning on using due to limitations of new planned setup as it was explained to me).  I might re-add a subwoofer down the line, if not too costly and easy to integrate into new planned setup.  TV is currently connected behind wall to to a/v receiver, which is connected to DirecTV box, ceiling speakers, subwoofer amp, etc.  That is zone 1.There are also 2 ceiling speakers in kitchen, also connected to a/v receiver in TV room.  That is zone 2.I received a quote that was a little pricey, so planning to take on the project myself to save on labor.  Using the quoted parts list, I have purchased 2 Sonos Amps for the 2 zones. Also on the parts list is a Binary Audio Return Extender for HDMI ARC and S/PDIF (Binary B-260

The new Sonos Ace headphones won’t work with Windows 11. Device manager reports a new Unknown Device when pairing with Bluetooth or USB-C. Uninstalling, reinstalling, re-pairing, all result in the same Unknown Device. Completely unusable on Windows.

How do I disable the buttons on my playbar in the new app?

I have had nothing but issues with the latest update.  My music skips from one song to the other I will not play a full song. This latest update is horrible.
