T/Table and CD to Port via Rega Elicit R

Hi

I have a t/table and CD that I would like to be able to incorporate into my home Sonos system but still use my passive speakers (ProAc).

i think this means i need a Port

My question regards connectivity to my Amp - the Rega Elicit R (10 yrs old) which has a pre-amp out socket

Should i connect into the Port from the pre-amp out and then back into the amp through the tape input or just use the tape in and out and turn on the record monitor ?

 thanks for any thoughts

I recommend treating PORT as a tape deck.

Note that output from the SONOS Line-In will be delayed by 75ms. You can work around this by playing PORT’s Line-Out through the Rega’s tape monitor input. Pretend that PORT is a 3-head tape deck and you want to monitor while recording.

Using pre-outs is often aggravating, usually volume matching issues.
