Hi SONOS Community,Having been an avid SONOS fan and user for over a decade now I thought I better join the community!My latest additions are a pair of SONOS Era 100’s with a SUB mini. I’m extremely impressed with the SUB mini in particular, I think we have all been waiting a long time for this to become a product.Era 100’s also fantastic, but I have been experiencing sub par SONOS expected performance.I’m intrigued with how they pair because I almost always experience an initial delay with the second paired speaker joining the party (not using bluetooth) . This can be anything from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, the SUB is also prone to the same delay. The speakers are 1.5 meters apart.Now I also have 2 SONOS ONEs paired and I believe these are bonded using wifi and they perform as one, immediately and every time. This leads me to believe the Era’s are bonding over bluetooth. If I am right, IMO, this is a step backwards to the solid connectivity I’ve come to expect from SONOS.Is anyone else

Per the Sonos app, I was informed of the Voice capability of the Sonos Roam but could not find instructions on how to implement it. Thoughts?

Hi all!I know that the Sonos Arc, by itself, is a 5.0.2 system. If I were to pair two Era 100s as surrounds, would the system still be 5.0.2 (taking the two surround channels from the Arc), or would the system become 7.0.2?That would affect how I place them: 90-110 degrees off-axis behind me for 5.0.2, or even further behind for 7.0.2.Thanks!

Hi guys, are you able to add the Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3 speakers to an AV Receiver?I have an Onkyo TX-NR626 which seems to have a lot of functions. I am not looking to simply use the Sonos app via the amp, my objective is to use the Sonos Arc Soundbar as centre speaker and the Sub Gen 3 as a Subwoofer as surround speakers with the AV Onkyo amp instead of buying traditional Speakers.Thanks,Kens.

There is a bug in Sonos’ home theater sound bars wherein mono Dolby Digital 1.0 and DTS 1.0 tracks play back as silence. I’ve experienced it personally on a Gen 1 Beam. A quick Google search shows multiple reports of the problem on these forums as well as on Reddit. I believe the problem persists on the Gen 2 Beam as well. The bug is easy to reproduce-- Play back any 1.0 encoded Dolby Digital or DTS source through a normal ARC setup to a Beam or other Sonos soundbar  Confirm in the Sonos app that the Beam is receiving TV audio and note that app displays the correct flag (e.g. “Dolby Digital 1.0”) Note that no sound plays back from the Beam.A workaround to the problem is to change the TV or BD/DVD Player to output as 2.0 PCM instead of bitstream, but again, this is not a fix so much as an inconvenient workaround, and requires the end user to change the setting back after viewing mono content so that future surround content is handled properly.Furthermore, I’ve confirmed this is a bug in

I had to restart my router with factory settings. This produced a new network, so I can’t connect to Sonos system. I recently changed my router and now my era 100 and move speakers keep being dropped from the everything group. If the group is applied I get playback from all devices. But after stopping playback the era 100 and move disconnect after a while. This is a problem because I use these two to start and stop playback but pushing play does nothing when they are disconnected. The other speakers, two amps, one port, two fives plus sub work and always stay grouped. I notice in settings that both the era 100 and move list under the Products section the name of the wi-fi network and report it as Excellent connection. However, none of the speakers that work have this report. They apppear to be in two software generations. I have tried turning off and on all speakers and rebooting the router. Any idea how to stop the era 100 and move being dropped. They did not do this with the old router. The old router was wi-if 5 and the new is 6e.

From time to time we get a loud chirp out of our speaker(s) while streaming movies through our TV via our ROKU Ultra. I sit closest to a Sonos 5 so it’s a bit startling when, out of the blue, a chirp occurs. I’ve posted this before and the support staff, based on my previous diagnostic, had me reset the 5 that is closest to me. Well, I’m still getting the chirp.If a Moderator sees this, my diagnostic for this incident is: 1514047738

I’m struggling to get an apparently simple setup at home. I have 2 sonos era 300 in two separate rooms and had the candid idea to have them registered under the same account.The only complexity my network has is a simple wifi repeater upstairs. The repeater replicates the network through LAN. The result is quite frustrating, as the app is only able to recognize 1 system at a time and momentarily forgets the existence of the other one. Switching from one to the other is virtually impossible. Sometimes reconnecting the smartphone to the network works after multiple attempts. If the Sonos app is in a particularly nasty mood, it will decide to pick exactly the opposite device and stick with it no matter what.  Spotify seems able to differentiate devices and control them… to a certain degree, as last updates form Sonos seem to have limited this possibility.I’m quite surprised this is not plug & play as this is basic smart home stuff. Think I found answer to why Sony remote doesn't work with Sonos. On your remote, tap the wrench button to get to Quick Settings. Then go to Bluetooth. In Bluetooth setting, turn it off and now the remote volume will control the Somos speaker. 

Ik have a LG Oled65CX3LA that I want to Work with a Sonos Beam gen2.I plugged the Beam in the eArc-port of the tv, changed the needed settings of the tv and have sound, but when I come to the tv-installation I get the message ‘ the arc-mode is not connected and the remote doesn’t change the volume.On the tv I even set the HDMI2-port to a soundbar, but Sonos is not listed in the options offered to choose.On internet Philips was told to choose, buy that doesn’t work.What van I do?

I plugged an ethernet cable into my Play 5 gen 2 which moved all other Sonos products to one wifi (wired) client group. Now my other clients which require 2.4 e.g. (Roborock vacuum) can’t connect to 2.4ghz at all. My wireless 2.4 network now has zero clients.I went the wired route due to drop-off/cut-outs when streaming Amazon and Spotify, which seems to have resolved that problem. I suspect that Sonos wired now controls the 2.4 band, excluding all other devices as I can’t even connect a laptop or phone to 2.4ghz.How best to resolve this? BTW - the other issue I found out by research is that Sonos Play 1 speakers manufactured from 2016 on do work with the S2 app, those built earlier cause conflicts/cutting out (apparently memory issues). I had converted from S1 to S2 when I replaced my Play 5 gen 1 speakers. The telephone support got me connected to S2 for all speakers (Play 1 gen 1 2014-2018 versions, sub, playbar) but it did not solve my pre-upgrade cut-out problems.

What audio output power does the Sonos Move 2 have?And what frequency range does the horn have?I already looked for it but some say 10W and others say 45W and others say 60W

I have an LG C3 TV, a Sonos Arc, and a Sonos Sub Gen 3. Earlier today I factory reset all of these devices and started from scratch. I started by connecting the Arc to the TV and using video/audio content from the TV itself (antenna or TV apps). In this situation everything works as expected (audio is being passed through to the Arc, and I can use the volume +/- and mute buttons on the TV remote to control the volume of the Arc.I have two other HDMI devices that I would like to connect to the TV, a Samsung Blu Ray player, and an AppleTV 4k. As soon as I plug in the HDMI cable for either of these devices into the TV, I lose the ability to control the Sonos volume using the TV remote (or the other connected device remote).For example: If I connect the AppleTV and use the volume controls on the Apple TV remote, I can see it “changing” the TV volume via the TV interface (which has no effect since sound is coming through the Arc), but the volume changes aren’t passed onto the Arc. For owners of the Era 300s in a stereo pair configuration; Is it expected behavior that for each speaker the left and right tweeters are disabled/barely audible? I certainly heard more from the side channels in single-speaker configuration. Are these side tweeters turned off in a stereo-pair configuration by design?This is the case with Apple Music, both stereo and Dolby Atmos tracks. The woofers, and top and front tweeters all fire nicely, but no side tweeters.I hope someone can shed some light on this! Thank you

I have this week moved from Sky Q to Sky Stream using the puck . I also have a Sonos Arc which has had in the past  the usual sound delay problems which I successfully corrected using the amazing HD Fury Arcana device . I was previously watching UHD through Sky Q with no no sound delay issues . After  switching to Sky Stream I’m now faced with one of 2 options 1.no sound delay and not being able to select UHD2.Sound delay removing HD FURY  and seeing UHD .  The problem seems to be that Sky stream want you to connect the puck straight to my Panasonic TX-DX750B. If I route through the HD Fury it won’t allow me to select UHD ( screen just flashes ).  Maybe a different question but if I had an eArc enabled TV would all these  problems go away and there would no time delay issues and I could attach my puck straight into the tv and not through the HD fury . Thanks very much having read all this it’s probably better I post it on a sky community but I thought others should know about this .   

How do I set up my 2 era 100’s and my Sonia sub to my new Samsung smart tv.  please help for some reason I’m not finding a solution maybe this will get me the advice I need. 

We intend to use a Sonos system for a pilates studio. Room size is 100sqm with 4meter height. Intention is to use a port and go from there into a mixxer and to a PA. Important is that it will also sound good at low volume. I heard in case we use Sonos Speakers we have a delay that would be strange when unsing a microphone. → That is reason for “conventional” PA with port idea. I rekon it would make sense to use the digital out of the port to go into the mixer in order to keep the qualiy till there at a maximum level? Any one uses such a setup? 

I watched half of Top Gun Maverick on Paramount + yesterday in 5.1.   Second half played today but signal was Atmos.  All on ARC plus mini sub sounded great.  Do I have any choice in this or do I just take the signal that shows up. 

My TV unit has a central recess for my 55" LG OLED TV. I can get a nice riser to raise the position of the TV by 80 mm. I would plan to position the Arc in front and below the TV. The clearance between the front of the riser and the TV feet to the front of the unit will be 105 mm. The depth of the Sonos Arc is 117 mm. This would mean that the Sonos Arc would overhang the unit by 12 mm at the front, but all of its width and almost 90% of its depth would be supported by the unit.There would be 75 mm (about 3") on each side of the Arc, though some output of the side facing drivers should stand proud of the recess sides, as the recess sides are set slightly back from the front of the unit by 75 mm.Will this placement be OK? I have the arc, sub (gen 2) and 2x era 100 in the rear. trying to perform trueplay for first time. I receive an error before it even starts (see below). I'm using iOS 17 tried on ipad  pro, iphone 11 and 13 same error. This happens before the first part of the process is completed like it doesn’t get to the part where it asks for phone to be rotated, and I can't seem to figure out why. Only getting as far as pick the sitting spot then next I get true play errorWhen I cancel and try again I always get the same error.Has anyone else seen this issue and been able to resolve?

Hi Sonos users,I am in deep with multiple Sonos products all over the house. Currently I can no longer use my:Play: 1 x 3 One x 2 Boost BeamThey all have the same error message for DAYS now:“Your [device] will reconnect to your Sonos system when the update is complete”You can imagine my frustration.Can anyone in the community please tell me how to speed up/cancel/reset this clearly broken updating process?Thanks so much,-Sad guy with no music any more 

This issue has been raised in the past, but no comprehensive solutions have been proposed.  We are Airbnb hosts of 9 high end villas.  Guests (at times) rename speakers, regroup speakers, change system settings, etc.  Since the Sonos app doesn’t have any access controls (needed by many people in hospitality for exactly this reason), we have to either deny guests the ability to add their music services or provide them with a Sonos login that gives them total system access.  And as we all know, when you give people access they love to go in and change things... In the absence of limited system access, we have to go in afterwards and audit and reset the speaker names, reset settings, re-create groups, etc.  It would be FAR easier if we could simply log into the system remotely to diagnose and correct any issues live during a guest stay.  This capability does not exist in the Sonos architecture.  Some apps such as Lutron and SmartThings allow basic play commands, but not Sonos System acces

SetupTV: Samsung TU8000Soundbar: Beam (Gen 1) with 2 Sonos One Speakers4K player: Samsung UBD-K8500So I bought this 4k player especially to convert the sound of all my Blu-rays to Dolby Digital 5.1.But in the last week, this has stopped happening. No settings have been touched at all, and no wires have been removed or changed. The discs that used to play sound, no longer do. PCM 2.0 seems to work, but my 5 channel setup has disappeared overnight.Is this a known issue, or am I gonna have to do another expensive upgrade?
