I’ve just got a Sonos Beam gen 2 and want to build surround sound with it. My first addition will be an Era 100. I know it would be ideal to add a pair but for the time being I’ll have just one. A review I read suggests an individual Era 100 can be added as a stereo pair. Is this correct? Thanks.This What Hifi review infers just one Era 100 can be added as a paired speaker to a Beam gen 2: “The Era 100 is more powerful than the Sonos One, too, and can pair with the Sonos Arc, Ray and Beam Gen 1 and Gen 2 soundbars to work as part of a home cinema set-up. You can also pair two Era 100 speakers to work as a stereo pair, though you can do this with two Sonos Ones too.”

Hi, I already have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and two Era 100 speakers. I'm thinking about buying a Sonos Sub Gen 3. The requirements say that you need at least one non-portable product with a built-in amplifier, e.g. Arc or Era 300. Can you tell me whether Will the Sub Gen 3 perform 100% of its capabilities without any problems with this configuration? Is Arc or Era 300 necessary for it?

Hello! I want to install sonos in ceiling speakers. I only have 23cm between studs. It should just fint. But i see that i only will be avle to use 2 out of 4 clamps/locking skrews. Will that be enough or is this not possible in My ceiling..?

New Windows 11 laptop. Been through process to access iTunes music library but there is no way that I can see to edit the path, which only goes as far as iTunes folder but not to iTunes library within the folder. Tried installing and uninstalling both Sonos and iTunes apps. However when I do iTunes instal from Sonos in old Windows 10 laptop I have access to iTunes.

Hi,I want to be able to tell Alexa (through the App or Voice) to play music on my Play:1 speakers and Playbar.Alexa has found my Sonos One speakers and allows me to play music on them, but Alexa does not let me play music through my Sonos Play:1 and Playbar Speakers, as well as through my Sonos Groups/Rooms.Spotify IS able to find my Sonos Groups and Speakers, and does allow me to Play through any of those speakers using the Spotify App.I'm not sure why Alexa will not give me the option to use the Sonos Skill to play music through my Play:1 and Playbar speakers.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks 

Just changed from sky to bt sonos works apart from roam which just won’t connect tried all sorts - although factory reboot doesn’t seem to work either - any help gratefully received    

My Arc has been having issues with connecting to my Samsung TV.  Prior to switching to the Samsung, I had a older Vizio.  The connection issue happened with the Vizio as well.  I would just unplug the HDMI and/or unplug the Arc and the audio would come back.  That is not the case with the Samsung.  The option for Home receiver Audio output on the TV goes away. Also, I do use a Nvidia Shield for my content. Is this a cable, TV, or Arc issue? I have replaced the HDMI and seems to still happen. 

Hello All and thanks in advance for the assistance.I’m struggling with frequent audio dropouts on my Connect: AMP. I’m aware of the other threads and a potential (albeit poorly communicated) fix from Sonos that is on the horizon.  In advance of any fix, I’d like to configure the system as well as possible.My Playbar is connected via network cable to my router and all other devices are connected over ethernet. So far I’ve assigned a static IP to all my devices.Could I have some feedback on which channel I should select for Sonosnet based on these network matrix comparisons? I’ll confess that I am a bit confused on how to read it: JD

I have multiple sonos speakers throughout my house.  I have one speaker, a Play:1, that oddly has been giving me fits lately.  About 75% of the time, in the SONOS app, the speaker doesn’t show up anymore.  HOWEVER, the speaker Does show up when I access my speakers via the spotify app.  More so, I am able to play music on this speaker when I access it via spotify. Unplugging and plugging back in does temporarily fix the issue, however, the speaker is really high on a shelf so requires a ladder to do so.   Additionally, after a day or two, it pops back “offline” again.  There are also times when the speaker may have been offline yesterday, but now today, it is showing back up.  Its really weird.  We have many of the exact same model Play:1 speakers throughout the house, and this is the only one giving troubles…..and oddly enough is the speaker we want to use the most. 

I have a Sonos connect s1 that my vinyl player plugs into. I tried listening to a vinyl today and realised that Sonos wasn’t recognising it.  I look at the connect and there’s a white solid light for about 5 seconds then no light for about 30 seconds.  I couldn’t find anything about what this meant.  Ive tried factory resetting I and it doesn’t seem to work either I can never get the yellow light to come on no matter how long I hold the play button for, it just goes back to the slow blinking 

Hi, I just set up arc+2x One and everything (including Dolby Atmos) works great after a short set-up. However, I do experience weird delay when starting any audio. I takes about 5 to 10 seconds before the sounds starts going out and it seems like the arc disconnects and reconnects in the process.. do you have any idea what could be the cause and how to fix it?  Thank you in advance, Jan

Hi, After a factory reset, I have successfully installed a Sonos Play:1 in wireless mode using the Sonos app 2 (I had initially tried with the Sonos app1 and it said my Sonos speaker version wasn’t supported). When I tried to install the second (also after factory reset), I couldn’t do it. I had to connect it to the Ethernet cable, and even though I was successful at connecting it to the network, I could not then get it registered. I looked into the settings details and the first speaker shows as WN1 and the second one shows as WN0. I have tried going into « manage my networks » to switch my second speaker to a wireless network but it won’t even let me click on the tab because apparently this version of the app doesn’t support my Sonos product. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. 

I have Sonos everywhere in the house and one room has an old Bose lifestyle surround sound system with 5 speakers and sub. I have a Sonos port and if I turn the Bose on, change to the right input, I can play Sonos.  but it’s the only room in the house that doesn’t just turn on. I have to go into the room and turn on the Bose system first with the remote, wait for it to boot up, then switch the input.  it’s a hassle. Anyone know of a better way if I keep the Bose?

Donc comment faire car j’ai mes speaker depuis des année et je ne peux pas les utiliser sans prise

I ave a ARC, 2 era 300, a Sonos Big Subwoofer and Sub Mini, (2) era ones, and a Sonos AMP.  All devices listed are brand new, latest Gen.  I also have a 2023 Samsung Smart TV that has a eARC HDMI port, and a PS5.  Also an Apple TV 4K that can connect wherever via Ethernet or WiFi.  I already had the ARC, and ordered the 2 era 300’s you create Dolby Atmos.  Not even sure anymore if you can use WIFI to use the Era 300 with the ARC to create true Dolby Atmos.  The Sonos Arc only has 1 HDMI port so that kinda screws up things.  Any good recommendations?  Can I use the Sonos Amp as some sort of AV device to help

I just imported 500 GB iTunes library of ripped CDs.  I spent tremendous time importing album art and tailoring the sort order of artists (Last name first).  A great deal of the album art is lost (I can’t say for sure which ones).  And the artists are sorted by first name.  James Taylor is ordered under J, not under T!!!  Is there anyway the importing library can see the sort order that iTunes handles? 

My set up of Sonos arc+port+Chromecast+JVC projector worked well untill recently.It started loosing and breaking up sound. Either arc is working without surrounds or the arc is going silent and surrounds work on their own.Tried resetting the system and refreshing the wifi connection. No improvements.Any ideas what could be the problem welcome!Thanks!

I have a problem with one of the Sonos One speakers, I press the touch button on the microphone but it doesn't turn on the light or work, I have reset it several times but it has stopped working, does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you

I have an LG OLED C1 Tv (2021) and just bought the Beam Gen 2.  The sound is great but the Magic Remote with the LG doesn’t control the volume of the Beam.I connected the TV to the Beam with HDMI-ARC.   I’ve tried with the Universal Remote set up but that also doesn’t work.  I’ve tried turning everything off and unplugging but doesn’t work.Has anyone had luck controlling volume of the  Beam Gen 2 with LG’s Magic Remote while connecting with the HDMI-ARC connection?

Mytuner radio station logos not showing in S2 app whereas BBC Sounds show up without problem?

Looking for some help please. I have two One speakers in my restaurant as stereo. They work via my iPad on AirPlay. What’s happened for a few days now is that the volume on all apps (Apple Music app, Spotify and sonos) is automatically adjusting itself back to about 10% on the volume bar. Regardless of where you put the volume it snaps back to about 10%. It’s infuriating and despite being around 10% you can’t hear anything. I’ve seen some articles about overheating but they’re not hot. I’ve also seen articles about software updates but the speakers seem up to date (the Sonos app doesn’t offer updates) and my iOS is up to date. I will also mention volume settings such as ones that won’t let it go above a certain level are turned off. if anybody has a remedy for this I would be thrilled. Hello there!I would like to ask to anyone knowing about the setup that I intend to have.My setup would be as follows: 2 Sonos  five working with a projector connected to either an Apple TV or a fire tv cube.The questions are how do I connect the stereo pair to either of the systems?would there be delay playing movies?For the 2 sonos to work as a stereo would I need to have the sonos port to connect the directly via cable to the projector?should I connect both Sonos via Ethernet cable to the internet? thank you so much   

Apologies if this has already been covered.I’m considering a purchase of the Sonos ARC but currently have a projector with AV Surround set up.My current A/V amp has an HDMI ARC out, would that work with the Sonos ARC?
