I wanted to set up my Move speakers at a friend’s house so he could hear how they sound before considering an upgrade.  We tried a lot of things and failed.  Various error messages which I cannot put into proper context at this point since we tried so many things.  Mainly, though, neither of us was able to connect the Move speakers to his system through the Add Product option.Here’s my scenario:2 Sonos Move speakers He has S1 app and some speakers only S1 compatible. I have S2 app. His app runs on his iPhone, mine on Android (Samsung Galaxy S10) He has a google mesh network, I have a 5ghz Synology router at my home My app greyed out the System menu at his house so I was unable to add his network as trusted by meI was able to see the speakers in my app but it was unable to connect them successfully.  At one point in one of our trials it was suggested that I downgrade my app to S1 because of the other speakers present on his network.At another point the app said it was going to use a tem

Picked up a pair of Sonos branded wall mounts, for my Era 100 speakers. The locking base / ball joint mechanism will not hold. After base is in locked position, the speaker drops down. This is happening with both mounts. Pretty disappointed, should of went with the cheaper Sanus one.

HiI have an Arc (+ 2 Play:1 as surrounds). The Arc is currently hardwired (it was on WiFi but I just wired it to see if it improved things… it didn’t). Both TV audio and music playback is generally fine. I only have an issue if I group the Roam with the Arc (the Roam is about 6m away from the Arc in the kitchen area and allows whoever is cooking to hear TV audio without having to turn the Arc up crazy loud).The sound just constantly drops in and out on the Roam when grouped like this, maybe every 10 secs or so.I have both 2.4 & 5Ghz networks with Unifi AP’s. Roam is currently connected as below on 5GHz. I have read about issues with Unifi kit & Sonos, but in general it is working fine for me, except for this grouping.  I have set the networks to use STP rather than RSTP as I read this was preferable, otherwise I have done no tinkering with default settings on the Unifi network.Any suggestions on improving performance gratefully accepted! Up until yesterday, my Arc was working fine. But when I turned my setup on today, nothing. No sound from the Arc. I am using an older Sharp TV so I am using an HD Fury Arcana to separate the audio as I was only getting stereo pcm from the tv. This setup has worked fine for about the last two years or so, until tonight. i haveSharp 65” tv. Virgin TiVo.chromecastBluray player. the devices go through an HDMI switch before getting processed by the Arcana. It outputs display to the TV and eArc to the Sonos. I am also using a Harmony hub universal remote to control everything.The Arc still plays stuff over the WiFi, such as BBC radio and Spotify so I know the speakers work. I noticed when I use the remote, it will turn the volume down on the Arc but it won’t turn it back up? I’ve tried the usual fixes, turning off, checking connections and cables, swapping them round, even plugging the TiVo direct into the Arc. Every time I open my Sonos S2 app on any device, it seems to default to the last-used room anywhere in the house. The problem is often that’s the room my wife last used, rather than the room I’m in. It’s really annoying. Is there a way to make the Sonos app open on the room I’m in?

Hi guys,I am really sorry if this question has already been asked.I moved to an apartment where there are already ceiling speakers.On my side, I already have Sonos Beam2, Sub Mini & two Sonos One used as surround.I have two questions:In the current set up, is it worth buying the Sonos AMP and connect the 4 ceiling speakers (not as surround) but as extra speakers?    I have one ceiling speaker in a different room. If I get the amp, would I be able to play music on the existing set up (Beam, Sub, surround + 4 ceiling) and different music on the other ceiling speaker? Thanks very much in advance!!

We have a surround sound set up named Livingroom  (Playbar & 2, Play:1). Until about 2 months ago, even when our TV was off we were able to connect to Livingroom, to listen to music. Now, when the TV is off, Livingroom shows "Unable to Connect" in the Sonos app so we are not able to use it just for music anymore even if we turn the TV on....it has an auto off so, eventually, Livingroom disconnects.Can this be resolved? TIA!

Hi There, Please assist me with this as I’m contacting you on behalf of my Client Angaston Medical Centre who uses SONOS One SL and there was a recent power outage which affected the Sonos setup where by both the speakers were disconnected form the SONOS windows App. I have tried to connect this with multiple attempts but unsuccessful every time to get both the speakers working.I can See both the speakers are showing when scanning the wifi but only one connect and also not the SONOS were reset by the practice manager when she had tried connecting this. Please provide guidance in order to be able to connect bot the speakers and play music in sync.  

I bought a white Era 300 wall mount last year but realised I didn’t need it.  I assume it’s too late to get a product refund.    I wondered if there’s a Sonos forum for selling it second hand or whether I should just use eg Ebay.   Any thoughts/ideas?

Last year, my turned-off Apple TV worked fine for me to run automations and play music on my SONOS Arc. but for some time now it is no longer able to execute that way.

Roam is excellent, portable and sound is good.  Purposely purchased with mic for the TruePlay.  Device needs 3 band EQ adjustment.  Bass is outstanding, Treble is good, not great.  Having no Mid adjustments is horrible!  Seems like an easy software fix. Mid adjustment feature please!

I am using Sonos V2 and everytime I try to get it to load my Itunes Music it gives me an Error Code of DESKTOP-HCG3OIT is not responding.  Anyone have any ideas on this as its driving me mad trying to figure it out.  Thank you

Hi Group I am having trouble connecting my library on a QNAP-TS264 to a new Sonos set  up S2. I keep getting the error 900 Server stack message, but on checking REGEDIT the IRPStackSize is as it should be. Has anyone come across a similar issue?  

Bought new Lenovo windows 11 laptop. Itunes music library not visible on sonos despite setting private network etc. However when remove music library setting in Sonos and add music library in Windows 10 folder my music is visible. How can I set up iTunes music library in Windows 11 or do I need to use Windows 10 link?

Spent hours trying to play Spotify using voice control through my Roam.  Linked the skill in the Alexa app but when you ask to play Spotify Alexa cannot find it, and asks to be asked to locate the skill which she then cannot find. 

 Hi. I made the Arc system with Sub and Era 300, connected by HDMI ARC from TV A. If I add a AMP(or PORT) for TV B connected by HDMI ARC also,the AMP can stream the sound to Arc system that was already connected by TV A??(if the TV A is turned off) or do i need to make a new speakers group only for TV B? Thanks.

Sonos Move 2. When using Spotify free streaming service audio abruptly stops. When I press play it will start to stream playlist again only to stop again after a few songs . This DOES NOT appear to happen on all streaming services.   Any ideas ?     appear to happen on all str services 

I just got a Sonos Arc and a pair of One SL Shadow.  Can I pair them together for use as a surround sound system?  I got some kind of error message that since the Arc is Dolby Atmos, any surround speakers have to have the same feature, i.e.  Era 3.  Is this true?

hi - had setup in new house with Archer VR1600v, smaller area / single storey, line of sight for S5 and S1, tv bar ‘around corner’ (~5 m away!)all products up to date.intermittent audio playback dropouts on radio or Spotify, and often mobile app ‘cannot connect’ when updating volume or pause / play. no microwave or other bluetooth/wifi products ‘running[‘ diagnosis 1870521460 hoping someone at sonos can confirm issues being experienced? 

Do I run any problems if I plan to get Sonos Arc and Sub (gen3) and connect them in Unifi network like this:Arc wired to Unifi Switch Lite 8 and then connect sub wirelessly to Arc. In my understanding this should not create any network problems because sub won’t connect my wifi, it connects directly to Arc? Also no rstp or stp network setting changes are required? Or is it better to connect Arc via wifi to network and then connect sub wirelessly to Arc or connect both via ethernet to network?

My sonos says mix 106.3 is no longer available on iHeart Radio - but it is...I'm listening now on my computer (not sonos system). Why?

Hey all - here is the basic situation:I have an 8 speaker Sonos system including 3 Amps The Amps have all stopped producing sounds completely. I have removed the Sonos Amps from the system, reset them, added them back in to no avail.  It looks like they are playing music but no sound is coming out of any of the three speakers. (All other speakers work normally including when grouped with the Amp) Checked the speaker wiring (all looks good), ran speakers from another non-Sonos amp (played fine) so I am really not sure what the situation could be.Any advice for troubleshooting?
