Hi all. This may not make any sense but recently while playing CDs on a cheap DVD/CD player the sound cuts off periodically but ONLY when running through the line in of the port and ONLY when the port is set to Pass through from my pre amp. If I set the port to variable the music does not cut out. It should also be noted that on my metered pre amp the VU meters seem to always have a signal in that there is always movement. The CD player is connected to the pre amp via RCA cables and not into my pre amps DAC via coaxial cable as I am not sure my pre amp DAC works. Any ideas?

Hi dear community I'm new in Sonos area, my brother gave me a gift of two sonos play:1. They only have Ethernet connection and wifi. I have a Samsung neo QLED tv. And I'll like o connect it together.  Can some one guide me through it? I'm struggling with it

I’ve read a few snippets round the traps that the Era300’s lose functionality and performance characteristics when they’re configured as rears in 7.n.2 configuration.Having just purchased a pair this would seem a tragic waste to me .. have I just invested in a pair of premium speakers that I’ll never get full use from?Surely if this is the case Sonos should have provided a variant priced below the Era300 that doesn’t carry components that’ll never be used in home theatre config.

Hi community.I have 2 SONOS speakers setup as a pair.They are connected to a network via a Cisco Meraki Wifi Access point and a small ipad with the sonos app and spotify on it.These are located in a coffee shop. One of the speakers keeps disconnecting. I think it’s the same speaker...the Staff tell me.Has anyone experienced this? How can i get around this issue?It’s really annoying having to get up a ladder to resync the sonos every time it loses the speaker.I have checked with my network guy and he says that the cisco access point is not at fault

ORGAN MUSIC DISTORTED. I play organ music from burned CDs, via a Brennan B2 and smartphone on my One and OneSL. The music sounds bright but is frequently distorted. High and medium frequencies seem to merge together so that they can’t be distinguished. I am deaf, so use two digital hearing aids by Phonak to listen to music on my Sonos system. These hearing aids have equaliser settings, but even so the organ music is still distorted. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem / found a solution? I shall be very grateful for any assistance!

I just got Fios set up and the installation went great- the TV plays over my soundbar just like I want. The only problem is, now my Sonos app doesn’t recognize my soundbar for anything other than the TV. I used to be able to play music on my soundbar even when the TV was turned off. Now the app only shows the TV in the living room instead of the soundbar. Help!!!

I’m adding 2 x Era + Sub Mini to my Sonos setup. Want to connect my Audio-Technica turntable to the stereo-paired Era 100s. I already have a Sonos Port. Should I connect my turntable to the Port or one of the Era 100? Any difference in the Era 100 performance? What would you do and why? :-DAndersCopenhagen, Denmark. 

There are tons of 3rd party AMP/amp/sub topics out there, but I haven’t found one exactly like this.I’m looking for validation on updating my current patio setup and am curious if any of you see potential implications or drawbacks. I’ve recently ordered a Buckeye Class-D 4-channel Hypex NC502MP amplifier to power my primary home theater LCR. This particular Hypex design is only offered in even-number designs, evidently due to supply/economics. I ordered a 4-channel, so 4 separate line level inputs, 4 speaker outputs (4 pair of speaker terminals). There is no HPF/LPF, DSP or gain control. Stick with me...Existing patio setup:Simple 2.1 setup on the patio. 90% music / 10% TV/Movies.  Sonos AMP powering pair of Polk Atrium 6 AMP sub out to Polk SWA500 subwoofer amp SWA500 speaker outs to passive Polk Atrium Sub100. Considering:Remove SWA500 and run AMP sub out to unused Channel 4 of new Buckeye amp. I would use the Sonos App to control crossover and sub level--hopefully, set it and forget

Connection to iPad keeps dropping on wifi

Hello,I was using since a year Apple TV 4K and Sonos arc together connected with sonny TV.since yesterday  default sound from Sonos arc is stopped !!today I check with simply connected with Apple TV and sonny tv. Over there I can get sound from my tv which seems ok for Apple TV. But when I connect with another port of tv HDMi with Sonos arc hdmi seems it’s no more working !!! Before the same set up was working and I was getting default sound from Sonos arc.  I tried to replace the HDMI cable but it’s can’t get sound from arc. Both Apple TV and Sonos Arc is updated with latest SW version already.can you please suggest what other things I can recheck ?current port setup: TV HDMI PORT > Apple TV HDMI portTV HDMI PORT(ARC) > Sonos Arc HDMI port thanks  

My 2 remote s1 speakers are not connecting nor is Alexa.My 2 remote s1 speakers have suddenly stopped working. Alexa too. Won’t respond. Moderation note: Combined posts.

I’m using Android s2 and both the app and Android have the correct versions. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t help. The app loses connection to the system, but both my MacBook and iPad s2 apps have no problem with it. After I shut my Android down for the night everything is fine the next morning, but it’s all gone by the middle of the day. Support tells me to reboot the router, but if that was the problem why do the iPad and Macbook work? I think the s2 app has a caching problem with the central server, since I notic it loses my recently played list before things go SouthI’m very unhappy with SONOS support.

I’ve moved house and I have a new wifi router. My sonos is connected to my previous wifi setting and now it won’t let me add the sonos player to my account as it keeps saying it’s not recognised on my new wifi. I’ve tried a factory reset but the app is still not allowing for it. What can I do please?  thanks  

Hello! I just added an Era 100 to my existing Sonos system, which was just two play ones. Everything is working fine when I choose from one of my streaming services. I have an Audio-Technica AT-LP60-BT and my intention with the Era 100 purchase was to connect that turntable to the Era 100 with the line in adapter. I have a 3.5 mm coming out of the record player, that is then plugged into the adapter with the USB-C, which plugs into the Era 100. I have tried two different adapters, but no luck so far. It just says I need to connect a Sonos compatible device. 

I work in a boutique fitness studio and when we try to play a spotify station, there will always be ads that play. The owner says this shouldnt be an issue because we are paying for premium. Is there a way to stop these ads when playing a station on spotify?

I have a playbar connected via optical to my TV. I'm noticing increasingly frequent short audio dropouts normally of less than a second. This occurs regardless of the source whether inbuilt apps like Netflix or STB on HDMI. I've played with various settings on the TV and it does seem related to how the Playbar processes Dolby Digital. All software is up to date and I'm running the Playbar with sub and 2 Play:1s on surround. Any suggestions please?

Hi all!I have a Sonos system with an Arc, a Sub Gen 3 and I decided to replace the two One SLs I had as surround speakers with two Era 100s. After removing the One SLs and adding the Era 100s, I had to rerun Trueplay and now I notice something weird I need to check with you if you also notice it. before this upgrade, when listening to, let’s say, music, I often checked sound difference with true play on and off and laying a song without trueplay, and then turning it on during the playback. The transition from trueplay off to trueplay on was clean. Now, this transition is choppy, when I turn on trueolay during playback, the sound gets choppy for a second and the it gets to normal.Anyone notices this as well? Thanks in advance for your input.

In my living room I use a Sound Bar, Two “Ones” for Surround and a Sub. I have turned on speech enhancement, but it makes little difference. Is there anything else I can do besides selling my Sonos and buying a conventional home theatre setup which will work much better.I am very disappointed that after all these years of people complaining about dialogue on Sonos that nothing has been done to address this.This is the only reason I cannot recommend Sonos to friends and family.

how do i set up sonos to play my favorites from Spotify?

Has anyone else had this issue? I’m setting up a One SL speaker that I haven't used in about a year. It wont show up on my Sonos account nor can the app find it(I’m on new wifi so the speaker is confused lol). Customer service had me reboot the speaker and restart the app so its as if I’m setting up a new product. Each of the three customer service reps I spoke to asked me to click the button that says something like “Setup new system” but the only option on the screen says “Join existing system,” which obviously doesn’t work since I’ve just wiped my speaker clean. I have factory reset my speaker, restarted my phone, updated my phone, uninstalled/reinstalled my sonos app a million times, and even tried the older version of the app. But every time I end up right at the page that only says “Join existing system.” Someone help!

Hi all. I’ve had my Sonos Arc for over a year and half now.  I’ve never found the speech/ Centre channel that great, after many adjustments, truplay etc never noticed a difference, after the last update it seems to of got worse, we have to turn up the volume to hear the voices but when a loud scene happens it way too loud. I can never get the balance right, speech enhancement is always in, loudness on/ off doesn’t seem to make a difference.Does anyone else have this issue?
