Hi!I am trying to find a way to play a web stream which is in flac. I’ve read that it is distributed in some sort of ogg container. According to this article tunein in Sonos does not explicitly support flac: Add an Internet radio station to Sonos | Sonos Is there a way to play flac web streams in Sonos? I am not new to home theater, but I am new to Sonos.  We having a custom build started and I will be meeting with the low voltage supplier in a couple of weeks and I am trying to see what Sonos system would work for my needs.  In the loft upstairs (22’x18’), we will have a TV on one wall and a sofa on the opposite wall.  What Sonos system would work best for that room?  We are also thinking about having a few other Sonos speakers around the house so I want to know what’s a good setup to have Airplay2 added in the system as well.  Thanks in advance! 

We have a Beam and Play:3 speaker in the same large room. When they are grouped together playing music, (streaming spotify for example) both sound perfectly in sync and great together. If you were to play the TV audio through the same speakers, all of a sudden are not in sync anymore and it sounds like an echo in the room where you have to make a point to turn off one of the speakers. This isnt set up as surround sound either, all speakers should just be playing the same.Why does it work perfectly on music but not when playing TV audio. I don’t see anything that you can do to fix it in the settings, am I missing something? 

I have a large music library on my iMac and playlist on my iPhone.  How can I set the library in my iMac to a shuffle from my iPhone?

I have an SVS SUB LB PB-16 Ultra.  I want to continue to use this Sub but the Arc does not have a sub out of course.  Can I Connect(Bond) the Arc to the Amp wirelessly and use the Sub Out on the Amp JUST for my Sub?thanks

I have a Beam soundbar and a sub mini. It shows both as connected on the app but there is no sound coming from the sub mini. 

I have been using the Sonos app with Pandora, Amazon, and Sirius music services for a long time. Recently. I cannot connect to the services via the Sonos app. I receive an error message “Unable to browse music there was a problem connecting to [music service].”  Has anyone run into this issue?

To simplify all the cabling and get rid of my giant space hogging AVR, I’m contemplating switching from my existing discreet 5.1.2 system to a Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, and a two Era 300 setup.  But my living room is long and shallow so I don't have room behind the sofa to mount the era 300’s (the sofa is against the wall).  My current surround speakers are on stands facing the sofa from each side and the AVR knows that position and accommodates accordingly.My question is when you set up Era 300’s as surrounds does the Sonos software know where they are in relation to the listener?  or maybe this is handled using Trueplay and the built in Mics? Would angling them at 45 degrees on their stands about 1.5 feet off the rear walls 3 feet or so on either side of the sofa work.

Hi, I connect 2 100era and mini sub to Ray and everything is working perfectly but if it’s connected that way I can’t control volume individually to get perfect sound where I’m sitting  i understand if I connect them individually I’m able to control volume on all 4 and I have filing that music is coming from everywhere (full room filing or whatever is called) but I don’t get filing like surround system can I make 1 group surround systems and one group to connect them separately basically if I want surround system I have to add everytime  all my era100 + mini sub to Ray and then later when I want to play music from all 4 of them I have to disconnect them from group to be able to control volume individually 

I have the original Sonos (Gen 1?) and have a sonos Beam. I do not have any Sonos 2 products but have just bought bought a pair of Ikea Symfonisk speakers (104.873.07) which turn out to be gen 2 speakers. (which was not clear on their website) any way I can use these or do I need to return them?

I use a WDMyCloud drive as a music server for my collection of digitised vinyl and also for iTunes. Recently I recopied my iTunes folder to it and I can no longer get Sonos to recognise it.I copied the entire folder including subfolders (iTunes Music, Album Artwork etc.) and library files directly from my MacBook to  /Public/Shared Music on the WD drive, not from iTunes, and set the path in Sonos Preferences to //WDMyCloud/Public/Shared Music/iTunesAfter a few minutes updating I get a window telling me that the files are not available.I guess either the path is wrong/incomplete, or there is a problem with the iTunes folder, but from there on I’m in the dark rather!!What am I doing wrong?? I would be most grateful fo any suggestions .

I have created two groups. Once I am playing some radio station in one group, how can I switch to the other group to 1) see (and change) the radio station 2) change the volume of this group?

I have new TV (LG) and unlike my old Panasonic TV I can only have one audio channel out ,I,e, HDMI or Optical or Bluetooth or ……. My wife needs hearing aids so we have to use an Oticon TV adapter to stream sound to her hearing aids, which means the Sonos Beam is connected from the optical out port of the Oticon TV adapter. Having this set up means I lose the experience of Dolby Atmos on my Beam, but someone suggested to me that I should be able to “upmix” from Stereo or 5.1 signal and remap to Atmos ? 

I have Sonos Arc with LG C1 and Apple TV 4K. I’m using Apple TV remote to control volume, power and smart functions.When I turn on TV it is starting TV, Apple TV and automatically selects HDMI with Apple TV. At the beginning there is no sound (Arc is not turned on yet??) and after 10 or 20 seconds screen turns off, green lights shows on Arc and after a moment everything is turned on and sound is coming from Arc.Is it normal? It looks like Arc has some delay when powering on and TV is doing some format switching?Can I fix it somehow? It is not a deal breakers but slightly annoying.

I have my ERA300s setup as surrounds with an ARC and Gen3 sub. When I’m watching tv or listening to music I hear a strange sound coming from the 300s  Hard for me to describe but I’d describe it as a raspy sound. I have tuned them with TruePlay.

The Tidal app for PC doesnt seem to find my Sonos products. Must I use the Sonos app when playing from a PC? The Tidal app finds my chromecast and I think Spoitfy also used to find my Sonos speakers.. Not the end of the world, but i prefer the Tidal app (esp for searching). (this has probably been asked a thousand times but I cant find any answers here or on reddit)

Hi - I’ve just changed broadband provider, and I can’t connect my Sonos devices to the new network.  I have a Sonos 2 app, but the ‘network’ options are greyed out.  When I try to connect I get messages saying I need to ensure my ‘mobile device is connected to the internet and on the same WiFi as Sonos’.  But I can’t get Sonos on to the new Wifi.  Any ideas please?  Thanks

Hello everyone,I’m getting a strange problem occurring when playing Pink Floyd’s “Take it Back’ on my Era 300 via Apple Music. Although the song is Atmos encoded, when the song starts it plays as regular stereo. Atmos kicks in around the minute mark, but if I scrub forward/back, it often kicks in earlier. This is the only track I’ve encountered with this problem.Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, any ideas on how to fix it? I connected my sonos ray to my motherboard using an adapter. The device can be displayed in my sound settings, and everything tested is normal, and the sound card driver is also the latest version, but there is no sound from the speaker. Why?
