replacing playbar with era 300 in a surround system

Hi

my system for home theater is curently a playbar grouped with two sonos one used as surrounds

can i replace the playbar with an ERA300 that will be connected to my tv by optical, and still use the two ONEs as surrounds as they are now?

No, the Era 300 has no optical connection, nor is it designed as a main Home Theatre primary device. You need one of the Sonos Home Theatre products which are…

  • Sonos Arc (uses Sonos Optical Adapter)
  • Sonos Beam (gen2) (uses Sonos Optical Adapter)
  • Sonos Ray
  • Sonos Amp (uses Sonos Optical Adapter)

All the above can be used with two Sonos Ones for rear channel TV surround sound.
