Hey Sonos community,

I do not know how many of you use Tidal, but here’s what I found/experienced thus far using Tidal.

  • When I do a search for an Artist within Sonos my return is half or less what I get back doing the exact same search on Tidal directly.
  • Do you experience the same thing?
  • For example try searching for “Zola Blood” under albums on Tidal,  you get back 7 albums. When I do the exact same search on Sonos via the Tidal integration that Sonos markets so  prominently - you only get 3 albums on the return - What gives??
  • Anyone have any ideas as to WHY??

Sonos have three Search modes:

  • old old mode, Desktop only
  • Classic mode, mobile only
  • New Search, mobile only

In all cases the items returned are determined by Tidal, and as the endpoint is different it is entirely possible to get different results to the Tidal app itself.

Which search mode are you using? Your post indicates artist search is a problem, but the example quoted is an album search. Please clarify.
