I have my music library on pro-level Netgear NAS, with everything in order. I have a 1 Gb LAN connection to server, so WiFi/WLAN connection problems are not applicable.Every time I get a Sonos update I apply it, get a 1101 Error, apply it again, then gets the message there is nothing to update. But Sonos is updated.However, after every update Sonos cannot access my music library anymore. Doing an “Update Music Library Now” results in an error (after a few minutes, the time varies): “//N//N is no longer available...”However, at (exactly) the same time Sonos has no problem playing the music that happened to be in the Sonos queue (the queue isn’t emptied during an update), which of course resides on exactly the same NAS with exactly the same connection details (that Sonos already has). So “technically” there are no glitches, otherwise Sonos wouldn’t even be able to access the files it is actually playing.The general advice is to remove and then restore the connection. I have Sonos S2 set up in a holiday let with 4 speakers and 4 controllers set up as bespoke Sonos controllers using old iPhones and imaze so the phones cannot be used for anything else.this setup is absolutely great and works well.I have set up an extra Sonos account only used for this location and all of the controllers are logged out of the account.However, I am still concerned that guests could fiddle with settings and break the system.It seems possible to go into system and try to downgrade to S1 for example? Is it ?Is there anything detrimental a user (who is not logged in) could do, and if so, would it not be appropriate to either hide or disable some system options unless logged in ?Most users would probably not poke around with the system settings, but setting an alarm is a useful function for example and can only be done within system, but I don’t want to invite users to dig around unnecessarily.

Apple TV HDMI Output -> TV HDMI in TV HDMI ARC → Sonos HDMI/ARC inThe issue/question has to do with the “default” Apple TV audio output mode and what it means exactly.The default setup works fine, the Apple TV remote will control volume via the TV and the Sonos.  In this “mode” the Apple TV Output detects and sets the default output to “TV Speakers”.  What you lose with this setup is that when you put the volume up and down you dont see the little white volume up/down on the screen that Apple TV will show you when it is controlling the volume. An anomoly/bug is that if you leave it muted for too long then the mute command on the apple tv remote wont unmute it and you have to use the app. Now…The Apple TV does see the sonos device, you can go to audio output on the apple device and you will see: Default Device : Receiver Speakers Temporary Audio Output (Which you can manually set) : Sees Receiver Speakers & Sonos Amp these are two distinct selections. My tv is a Samsung QN85QN90AAFXZA. It’s less than a year old and has eArc. Hooked up the Arc and 4K AppleTV but don’t get Dolby Atmos showing during playback in the Sonos app…  It reads “Multichannel PCM 5.1”Known issue?  User error?Any help would be greatly appreciated  Thanks! 

 I would like the TV to be the music hub.So I will connect via eARC to the soundbar (Beam), and from the soundbar to 2 play ones and perhaps a sub for music listening with better stereo separation.   Will this be a problem?

Is the 1”/2.5cm air gap between subs and bottom of sofa an absolute requirement or can the sub work if perhaps the bottom material of the sofa is completely covering the sub??The material has some give upwards, ie it’s not a hard fixed base of the sofa that is pressing onto the sub.  Whilst it may not be ideal I’m trying to work out how much it will impact the sound having no airflow around the sub thanks for your advice and thoughts - oh and “put it out in the open cos it’s beautiful” isn’t really going to help me. Wife wants it hidden and trying to keep everyone happy.  thanks

I updated my iPhone and Apple TV to iOS 16 and tvOS 16 yesterday. Since then, I can no longer control the volume of my Sonos ARC via my iPhone (with the built-in Apple TV control). Until yesterday I could do that without any problems. I’ve changed nothing other than updating those two OS.Seems like several people on Reddit are having this problem. Is there anyone here where the volume control still works after updating to iOS/tvOS 16?

Hi , have 2 already connected Sonos one Gen 1 speakers successfully via 5g Mesh. Just purchased a new Sonos Ray and can't get it to connect to the Mesh whatever I do. What are my advice options to sort out yjis problem please. The Ray will be connected to the TV via optical cable. Regards   

My Sonos system works fine, except for accessing my Music Library located on my MacBook. All the songs, artists, playlists etc. form my library are displayed on Sonos, but when attempting to play a song from the library, keep getting “….can’t find server…. error”. Have tried numerous fixes over time without success. Any suggestions. Thank you.

I have two Sonos one speakers set up as a stereo pair in the lounge. i have just bought a Roam for a different room in the house. However whenever I ask the Roam to play a station or music the two One’s also come on. Is there any way to unlink the Roam from the two One’s so the rooms are Independant of each other? thanks

Playing local files from my Android S10, there are the following problems.1. Playback stops mid-track every few minutes2. The Android S2 app displays a different track to the one the speakers are playing3. Every time I lose power or have issues and I have to reset cable model and wifi network sonos loses my system and it is frustrating and takes forever to get up an running. I have a Play 1 (about 4 years) and this product that has no model number. Due to a renovation I took them off the network and packed them away for six months. Now I am trying to put them back again and was able to do this with the Play:1 but this is not recognized my my IOS software. So I am looking for instruction on how to do this.  

If I play something from my arc connect to TV with HDMI and group arc with beam and One audio Is not in Sync. Probably Is not possibile to play audio in this way…Luca

Hello, I have a Beam ,a sky box and a Sony tv. I am not sure what should be connected to what. I have a hdmi going from sky box to tv and the then a hdmi cable from beam to tv into arc port. Do I need anything from Beam to sky box?

Paired Sonos Ones in our kitchen to replace Alexa Echo.   Not when requesting music via Alexa on the Sonos, the volume is a”all over the place”.   Often starts very low or not at all, then jumps back to normal volume after 1 to 2 minute delay.   Removed and reinstalled Alexa Skill, but same problem.   Very annoying.   Just want Alexa request songs to play a normal volume and not eratic behavior.   Ideas? Moderator Notes: Edited Original post, so that it doesn’t look like it’s been replied.

When sending music to my other speaker (an old play one) in the kitchen from Sonos beam gen 2 everything is fine. But doing the same using tv audio I get sound dropping in and out. Is it something to do with my older play one or interference?

Ever since connecting my plex server to my brother's Sonos account as a music source (May 2021) I always have the option of casting to my brother's speakers from my plex mobile apps and from the web interface at app.plex.tv I have tried removing all Sonos references from Authorized Devices in plex settings. My brother has removed my plex server music from his Sonos app. He's even gone so far as changing his Sonos password. Regardless, I am still able to cast music to his speakers. I have my own Sonos account and can play my plex server music on my Sonos products via the Sonos app. However, from my plex apps the only Sonos casting options I can see are my brother's speakers. I can have my plex server authorized as a data source on multiple Sonos accounts; both accounts can play plex content on their individual systems. Out of the blue, the sound from the LG OLED CX TV no longer gets played on the Arc.I tried: unplugging the TV, the Arc, and the FireTV, and replugging them.I also tried: enabling/disabling the eArc config in the TV settings and noticed that for a split second while I am doing that the sound plays and then stops.I tried connecting a laptop instead of the fireTV, no audio came out of the speakers at all.I tried different streaming services (Youtube, Netflix, Prime, etc.), the audio didn’t work for any of them.I tried playing music on the Arc via the Sonos app and Spotify, and that works. The issue started yesterday (Nov 19, 2022) - I’m wondering if there’s some new version of the software that got pushed to the speakers. Hi  My Sonos ARC has recently started losing connection to my LG TV every time I turn off/on the tv. (LG 65NANO886) To reconnect i have to redo the complete setup process to obtain again sound from HDMI ARC. Already have the last software update, but still have the same issues. I have run a diagnostic which is 1479387262. Any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Hi,Has anyone noticed that since installing update 14.19 an intermittent problem of total loss of sound, or the 'odd' speaker dropping out, sometimes for up to approx. 5 secs?  More of an irritation than anything  else.  Never experienced this before and nothing obvious has changed on my network.I suspect the update is the problem but, one issue the update did 'cure' was a problem I had with speakers auto grouping post the previous update.Diagnostic (1066513742) provided within 5 mins of the last occurrence of this 'new' issue occurring. Any suggestions?

I have a Fortigate Firewall with a 8 ports switch and 3 Forti Accesspoints. My access points are configured in a separate native vlan (management). I have configured 2 SSID, one for IoT and a normal SSID voor users, with 2 seperate vlans.The sonos boxes are in the user wifi network as is my phone. I can connect and link everything in the sonos app, so far no problems. However, now I want to link my sub to the arc then this is impossible. Tried every setting but no luck. Anyone suggestions
