Does anyone have thoughts about which of these combinations to choose? For music/audio, not TV.Price is roughly the same, within £50.

After successful installation of the latest update my SONOS system has become unusable!  When it does actually connect to a music service or even to my local music library, it constantly stops play only to resume a few seconds or even minutes later.  What is going on everything was working fine before this latest update!!!

I have 2 Sonos Roams with charging docs. I used them a lot over the last 2 years but they have been in the cupboard for about 6 months as I went for a smaller setup and didn’t use them that much anymore.I since got them out and now can’t get them to charge or turn on. The red LED does not come on when I plug them in. They are both completely dead. What are my options here?

The HDMI ARC port on my Panasonic TV seems to have died so, after a conversation with Sonos tech help, I have to connect my Beam to the TV via the optical port using the supplied adaptor. My problem is that whenever I turn on the TV it doesn't seem to remember to use the Beam (plus two Ones and a mini sub) but tries to use the TV's speakers. I have to resort to unplugging and reconnecting the optical adaptor to get it to connect and work.Is there a way of setting up the TV and/or Beam in order to ensure that the system works when switching on the TV?

I understand Apple Music sends AAC 256kbps to my Era 300’s when using AirPlay2 (despite Airplay2 supporting lossless). My question is, does Amazon send Ultra HD to my Era 300’s when using AirPlay2?  If yes, as established elsewhere on the forums, presumably my Era 300’s would downsample and playback at 16 bit 44.1? I prefer Amazon’s app interface and search, so trying to work out if there are any audio penalties to using Amazon’s app plus AirPlay2 vs Sonos S2 app.

So I recently added two Era 300s to my ARC for surrounds, which sound great.  When I turn my TV off after about 5 minutes it reverts the room to Music.  If I try to change it back to TV it tells me that there was a problem and it couldn’t detect a signal from HDMI to the Arc.  Once I turn back on the TV it either starts to work again or I have to use the app to repair.Setup:Sony 90J TVArc via E-Arc portSonos Ge3 sub2 Era 300 set to Surround External Devices:Xbox Series XPS5SwitchSteam Deck via a Dock Any help would be appreciated.

I have a home Sonos system with 4 components..3 speakers and a bridge.2 of the speakers ( not Roam nor Move) turned on by themselves today with no app open on PC or mobile. I then couldn't switch them off by opening app and clicking stop...I had to manually stop them. I have it all on video!! ??????? Huh????

My wife decided to return our Sonos system. Too much money to spend on the whole system. Problem is I’ve unplugged and boxed up the components to return them. I did not think to remove them from my system in the app. Do I have to plug them back in and remove them or can I have them removed by Sonos? Or just let the next person who buys them set them up and they will drop from my account?

Hi there,When I try to add a new music service to my system, I get an error that states:”You have reached the maximum number of music service accounts that can be added to your Sonos system. Please remove an existing account before adding a new one.”Does anyone know what this limit is? Has it changed at some point? I couldn’t find any info in the forum or support site that specifically called out the limit or error message.Interestingly, I have deleted a couple of services but I still get this error, so at some point in time I was able to have more music service accounts than I have now (30 accounts over 26 music services, plus one voice service (Sonos)).Thanks.

(Moved from Ask a Question)We just bought a house and I'm already planning on how to set-up everything (we won't be moving in until end of Sept). The living room is non-symmetrical and also has a sloping/varying ceiling height, with roughly 4m ceiling height at the area where the surround speakers would be positioned. Our setup in current apartment is: ARC, Sub + 2 Sonos One's as rears. My question is, is there a benefit to upgrade to Era 300's? My understanding is that Era 300's wouldn't perhaps work due to the layout (ceiling particularly) and a lack of wall to the right surround speaker. Please educate me on what would be the best option :DAttached a picture of the living room (previous owners furniture etc.) and floor plan with intended speaker position. TV would be placed in the same spot as in the picture, with sofa little bit closer to the TV. Current thinking is to either have the rear speakers wall mounted to the back wall, or with stands closer to the sofa.

does sonos sub generation 1 work with sonos 5  generation 3 speakers

Got Connect 1 hard wired to router and Denon receiver. Worked great for years when I was getting 2mb download speed. Changed to fttp a year ago and now getting 400mb to the router. Last couple of weeks music will start and cut out. Then get sound sporadically. Checked all cables and rebooted everything a few times. Still the same. Hopefully someone has a fix. Thanks folks.

Newb here & couldn’t find the answer to my question: If I have an Amp & use wired speakers for L/R fronts, would I also be able to connect 2 One SL’s (wrong model in title) to use as L/R rear surrounds? I would use the 2 wired fronts for my turntable & then all 4 for TV.Can I do that with a single Amp?Thanks!

Hi allI was having a beam gen 1 plus two Ikea symfonisk plus sub gen 3 set up. However due to my living area restrictions. I can't seem to find a good place to put the surrounds. So I decided to just change the beam gen 1 and the symfonisks to Arc. However my tv is placed in this cavity area. I did some measurements there's about two feet from the edge of arc to the wall on both sides . And from the counter top to the ceiling of the cavity is roughly 68 inches. I haven't had a chance to try it or test out certain configurations. But I am wondering would this placement have any negative impacts on the Atmos effect ? I heard placing it as far as possible to the edge of the counter top but that really looks kinda ugly...

I listen to podcasts on my Sonos all the time, using Pocketcasts. The vast majority of the podcasts work fine, but for whatever reason I cannot get Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast or Sarah Silverman's podcast to play on my Sonos system. I can play them on Pocketcasts on my phone, it's only when I use the Sonos app to play them that they don't work. Sonos is going to blame Pocketcasts, Pocketcasts is going to blame Sonos. How do I listen to these two podcasts like I can the other 20 I subscribe to?

Hi Community!I currently have an integrated amp with multiple inputs (turntable, CD player, AM/FM tuner) and multiple passive speaker outputs grouped by room (kitchen, patio, living room, etc.) The speakers are connected to a switcher for each set (room) and connected to the integrated amp via two L/R speaker connections.I am wondering if the switcher could connect to Amp via the two L/R speaker connections (thinking yes). However, I do not know how to solve the component input question. Would I need a preamp? The goal is to take my existing analog/passive system, integrate it with SONOS speakers, and control everything through the SONOS app. However, the speaker switcher would probably be recognized as one channel, right? Would I need an app for each room, then? Thank you!

We have a Beam Gen 2 and 2019 Samsung Q70 tv that are connected via the arc cable. The sound works great, but the issue comes when changing the source of audio. When we turn on the TV it auto connects to HDMI receiver for sound (which is the Sonos connected via arc), but if you select any other audio source (TV speakers/optical/bluetooth) it will switch to that source for a couple seconds and then switch back to HDMI receiver. One of us will often use the TV with headphones on, but the only way to use the bluetooth connection is to manually unplug the ARC cable from the TV or Sonos.  Is there a setting(s) that I need to change on the TV and/or Sonos to enable us to leave the ARC cable plugged in and allow us to change the sound source without immediately defaulting back to the HDMI receiver (Sonos)? One solution I keep seeing is disabling the Anynet+ option, but this means each time we have to go into the settings and enable/disable. If this is the only solution then we can do that, bu

I have an external audio input to the TV through AUX, and the TV is connected to Sonos ARC through HDMI, so can the sound of the external audio be played from Sonos ARC?

I have a paired Sonos one setup and the problem is as follows: sound source: a Mac connected via Airplay on the same wifi + Sonos app installed  on the mac (if it matters)Explainer: Sonos plays a video (sound) perfectly. I select a new video, the video starts but Sonos does not play the sound anymore. To solve the problem I have to change output device on the mac to something else, then select the Sonos again and it starts to play perfectly.  This also happens if I switch applications when e.g. a youtube video ends, I use an other app, i revisit youtube in the browser and i have to do the “switch output device” again.  I tried with different browsers already. It has been happening since I have Curious if it happens with others or what is going on.

I don’t know if this question has been asked yet, so here goes. I am using 2 Era 300s as surrounds in a 7.2.4 system used exclusively for home theatre. The 300s are behind the couch, mounted right-side up, 26 inches from an acoustical tile ceiling.  The question is, since the acoustical ceiling is absorbing much of the upward-firing sound, would it not be better to raise the 300s a bit and mount them upside down?

Hi I am having issues connecting to my music library on USB connected to my router. I get error codes 900/1000/1001 using S2 app on android and on the Windows app. I have just changed my router to Draytek 2766ac - I have been through every setting on the router but still cannot connect. What am I missing? Its driving me insane because had no issues doing this with last router. ThanksTony.

Ive added my Spotify account and my Wife’s Spotify account, and the identifying names are showing in the Services & Voice screen to differentiate between them. However in the Browse screen it just shows the name ‘Spotify’ twice so its hard to know which account you are browsing from. Is there any way to show the nominated account names in the browse screen?

Has anyone experienced the plastic around the pin melting on the Sonos Move charger. I am now unable to charge the speaker.

Hi everyone…my first post here,so i might have not seach on this topic as i probobly should😇.Anyway….as headline say it’s bout bookshelf speaker from Ikea. I’m a little confused bout the gen 1 & 2.Outside the volumebutton have relocated. So i’m asking: on gen 1…..are the volumebuttons next to eachother or is that on gen 2. I’m asking cause i see mostly gen 1 with the play/pause between volumbottons are more common to see up for sale on the used market, but seller ad that “the one i sell is a gen 2” and use pic from Ikea’s website with the gen 1 on it. Is there a different when it comes to Airplay on the gen 1 & 2? Thanx

With the app unloaded, now tapping the Sonos S2 app icon open Sonos to the last used speaker groups music queue instead of opening to the speaker group.Previously tapping on the widget album cover or tapping on the S2 app icon would open S2 to the My Sonos or last used speaker group page. All widget touch points appear to work correctly. To be crystal clear, this appears to be only an issue when tapping the Sonos S2 application icon from a home screen or from the app tray.  I'm not sure why opening directly to a speaker group queue would ever be desired, and if it were to be an option it would be one that we should be able to turn off.Tested/confirmed on Android 13 on Pixel 4a and Samsung S22 Ultra.
