Hi. About to move to an apartment with the following layout. the only place the TV can go is circled red and where the couch can go is in blue. I'm concerned about losing one of the surrounds from the era 300s due to one side having no wall at all and extending to the other side of the apartment. Any tips on how to mitigate this when I move? My thought was to place a bookshelf in that area, next to that era 300, so as to create something that sound can bounce off of. 

Hi, I currently have the Sonos Arc, Gen 3 Sub, and a pair of One rear speakers. My question is, can I add an additional speaker to the rear surround? Is it possible to add the Era 300 to support the pair of  One rear surround speakers. Basically, have the Era 300 serve as a center rear speaker. The ERA 300 will produce the Atmos experience and the two One speakers will be forward rear sound. Or should I remove the pair of One speakers and add two Era 300 speakers. My idea is to not have the original purchase of the One speakers become obsolete.Thanks for your support Sonos community!

Examining a choice for Sonos upgrade and wondering about the following set-up in the main living room:-Arc and Sub-mini for TV AV or possibly Sub if Sub Mini is not a good match for the Arc.Amp to deliver music to conventional speakers. My question is can a single Sonos sub be made to work (seamlessly) with the Arc when watching TV (80% of use) and then work with music from the Amp when listening to Sonos music (TV switched off).I see that neither Sonos sub has a wired subwoofer audio input, so I wonder if this is not possible.I do have a hi-fi style subwoofer which could easily be used with the AMPbut I then end up with two subs in the living room. That is unless the ARC is good enough to be used on it’s own without any additional sub (which seems like a compromise to me).Thanks as always for the great advice and experience shared here.

I was getting this error from time to time, but now I'm getting it on 3/4 of songs... Seems random, as sometimes a song that was working fine would refuse to play and start showing this error (or vice versa). My music source is YouTube Music. I've tried rebooting the speaker, reinstalling te app, rebooting the Wi-Fi router, etc. Also tried using an ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi. So my sonos playlists keep randomly disappearing for days then reappearing. Then having got fed up today I did a lot of googling and found a workaround in this forum. This happens at the same time on all control remotes - 2 iPhones and 2 iPads.I followed the suggestion of going for sonos radio, learn more - just on one remote app. Then go back to home Menlo and behold all playlists appeared on ALL devices!!!!I have a sonos 3 as my control direct connect device….clearly a ‘hub’ software problem. Been there for more than 2 years now… please read this and figure it out please. 

Hello, I am having trouble with my play 5 speaker when I add it as a surround speaker with my playbar and sub. The play 5 works fine when unpaired and also works when it is added as a stereo pair. But when I add it as a surround speaker the speaker doesn’t output any sound. If I hit the physical volume buttons when paired in surround the volume of the other speakers change but not the speaker in question. The same thing occurs whether I’m using the TV or just the speakers themselves. I have tried factory resetting everything in the 5.1 system and re-adding them and also altering the Surround Audio settings within the Sonos app. Are there any other troubleshooting methods out there that I should try? I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure this out for the past few days and can’t figure it out. One thing to note is that the speaker is a gen 2 play 5 that has a faulty wifi card but it is connected to the system via ethernet. Could this detail just inherently negate the surround soun

I presently have a beam, a sub and 2 One sl. Can I add an era 100 to the system? Moderator Note: Combined post and reply from OP.

Hello for 3 days my sonos roam lowers the sound alone when listening music on Spotify  then goes off on its own when the battery is full? I tried to reset it, the problem comes back.. Anyone else has this trouble ? Thanks you

I recently bought the Arc and sub. I have been trying to install the system with no luck. The arc gets connected, the sub gets connected but when I start to play music or tv the sub disconnects  and only the arc keeps playing. I have tried all possible scenarios like rebooting, connecting through Ethernet cable etc, but each time the sub gets completely disconnected. Wasted a lot of time on this set up. I have. One to a point where I want to return the speakers 

I just replaced a pair of original Home Pods with a pair of Era 100s on my Apple TV. When they stay connected for a movie or TV show, they’re great. When I try to watch videos through the Youtube app, the speakers drop the connection and the audio stream falls back to the TV speakers every time the video changes or an ad runs. Is there a change to the audio settings on the Apple TV I failed to make?

I have two amps each wired to a pair of speakers in different parts of the house.Each time someone tries to stream music to one amp (spotify) I am booted off the second amp to which I am streaming to from a different phone. i.e. same wifi network same streaming service, two different phones and amps can be grouped but not play different music independently. Is there a solution?

The sound is unsync with picture/movie/tvshow. If there’s music and dancing, they dance’s of beat. If someone claps, you see the hands smashing together, and hear the sound half a second later! Once you see it, you can’t unsee it! How do I fix this?  It’s set up with an optic cable from tv to playbar, and right now, only sub connected wireless.I’m planning to use my play3 speakers to, but it’s driving me insane that sound and picture don’t match, so I’m considering not to bother…I’ll be happy for any suggestions that’ll help me out!  Thank you! 

How do you move, for example, an ERA 100 from one room to another on S2 app. Must now be used as a surround speaker together with BEAM 2 and Mini Sub

I have a pair of Play 5 Gen 2 speakers. When playing on AirPlay from a Macbook Pro (2021), there is a frequent intermittent clicking sound, like a record skipping, about 10-20 times a minute. It’s very annoying.Does anyone have any suggestions?Thank you!

I have several Spotify playlists which stream without issue to my speakers, however, Spotify playlists created from files on my computer/phone cannot be played to Sonos speakers…I noticed the below when trying via the Sonos app: 

When I listen to the radio, using TuneIn, if I turn off one room using the S2 app, all rooms become silent for a short time, and the remaining rooms relaunch TuneIn (the audio jingle sounds).I would like that when I turn off one room, the other rooms continue to stream the radio as if nothing happens. 

Hi, my music just started cutting out after a few seconds recently so I thought I'd start from scratch.. I attempted a factory reset but the device is now stuck on the orange and white flashing led.. does anybody have a solution for this?

I have just moved into a house that has some sonos speakers in the ceiling hard wired to a legacy amp. we have got them up and running using the S1 app but after a while realised one of the pair is playing very softly and tinny. I have swapped cables at the amp end and there is no change so assume it is to do with the speaker. the wiring to that looks on so what might the issue be?

Hi, going through some renovations and need to consider where to locate the amp.  Will the amp work if it is placed in a cupboard?  Or does it need to be open to be able to link to the app etc?

I have had sonos for some time. Update issues required me to delete and reinstall latest version 15.5Music library on Synology.Just imported some new music with multiple discs per folder/album. These are displayed properly in itunes. Sonos has the songs in the wrong order. 1,1,1 (from disc 1,2,3) then 2,2,2 etc.I have other multi disc albums from prior imports that are displayed correctly. In addition, the metadata for the new incorrectly displayed albums looks the same as the previously imported multi disc albums.Thanks for any help.

I just upgraded my iPad Air 4 to an iPad 11 Pro 2022 model only to find out true play is not supported on this iPad?!I am an Android guy and bought the iPad Air 4 specifically to be able to use true Play on my system and ended up enjoying using it to surf on etc. Searching the forum I see this has been an issue since 2018. Why would Sonos not opt to support these higher end faster iPads? To me this sort of shows how archaic Sonos speakers are as well as how inept their engineering team is.What an absolute utter disappointment.I just spent hours also trying to get my speakers onto a new router and it was a nightmare only to find out I cannot tune them with true play on my iPad 11. I think I am done with Sonos and I'm just going to buy an atmos sound bar and sub from another manufacturer, this is sad.  

I have an issue where Spotify is playing on an Amazon Echo in the bedroom but Spotify will all of a sudden change the speaker to be our newly installed Era 100 group (kitchen and dining room group). This is happens when no one is interacting with either Spotify, the echo or Sonos, either physically or via apps. I then have to open the Spotify app and re-choose the Echo device as the speaker. It can easily happen every 20mins or so when playing a playlist. This has only started since the addition of the two Era 100’s to our setup. 

I have a Technics SL-1210 turntable connected to a Port. The audio is very low when playing it through the Sonos system. The audio in volume is set to 10 and the audio is uncompressed. I’ve used my laptop with an audio cable plugged into the Port and all works well. Any ideas or suggestions on what to do would be really helpful. 

Trying to achieve more base with my Sonos system.  I two ones and a beam and have been told that adding the 500 would help?  Should I also look at a sub-wolfer or 330?  Thoughts please...
