i use sonos connect. sonos software is up to date on all devices (11.10.1). i have about 100gb of mp3 in my music folder on mac (less than the 65,000 limit). ALL albums in certain folders (e.g.- Los Lobos, CSNY) do not play and album artwork doesn’t load as in other folders. error message on devices and mac is “the song is not encoded correctly” even though it is mp3. i have updated music index numerous times with the same result. i have been using sonos connect for over 10 years and never had this problem until recently. nothing new has been added to my system. any known reason why this is happening? any suggestions on how to remedy it?

My Beam Gen 2 always disconnects when I turn the tv off, when I turn the tv back on and try connect the been through the app, it thinks the device is not connected to the tv. I have to unplug and plug the hdmi back into the tv (sometimes numerous times) for it to connect again. Can someone please help so I don’t have to try chase up a refund

I recently installed several era 100 units for a client.   They are all connected to Alexa.  50% of the time when I tell Alexa to play something on a era100, I can see in the Sonos app the music change and start playing but I have no sound.   I have to press pause, play in the Sonos app for it to have sound.    It’s doing this on all the era100 units.    Any ideas?   Never encountered this before.

I have a pair of Play 1 speakers - part of a surround system.  All of the speakers in my house are connected  and are showing up on my app but one of my Play 1 speakers no longer has sound?  The pause and volume level buttons work on the system on my iPhone and it looks like it’s playing but no sound from the speaker.  It was working fine recently. I tried power cycling and resetting the Sonos app and also factory resetting. When I factory reset I followed instructions and it cannot complete the audio pin and when I push the buttons it pairs and looks fine but there is no sound. the other play one in the same surround system is still working fine.

I am using iOS 17 beta and just got a new Beam Gen 2. The app does not support Trueplay and I was wondering if there is a Sonos beta app available. I am on the beta program but can't find a beta 🙁Is there a beta for iOS available? Thanks.

Hello, I’ve a strange behaviour between Amazon Music and Sonos S2I explain : I have a playlist in Amazon music, when I open this playlist through Sonos S2, it doesn’t play the title of this playlist but totally different songs !! That’s crazy ! Do you already have this kind of behaviour ?What can I do to avoid it ? Thanks in advance for your help

Using the Sonos S1 app, I decided to try loading Plex on my Synology DS218j NAS. When I tried to play music I got an Access denied message, both from Plex and from Sonos Music Library. I then decided to revert all changes that I could, uninstall the S1 app and forget about Plex. However, now when I try to add a music library share, I get an error “Access to the share …… is denied - check the user name and/or password”I have speakers running on the S2 app without a problem.Any ideas?

I have an alarm set to a radio station (via Audacy) most mornings (M-F) that has been working for a very long time (many months).  For the past few weeks, the radio starts playing but after 2-3 minutes it suddenly switches to the Sonos Chime.  Consistently, every day at the same time (a couple of minutes after the radio starts).  I’ve tried changing several settings, but it does this every day.  I can turn it off and turn on the radio, but this is very annoying.Note:  This is on a Play:1, though I also have another Play:1 and a Play:5Has any of the software changed because it’s only started doing this recently.  Any ideas on how to fix?

Hi,Help needed from the forum please! My set up - Arc, era 300 (x2) as surrounds and a mini sub connected via eARC to LG G2 tv. When connected via apple 4K I have no sound on Netflix or Prime apps when settings are set to Dolby Atmos, when I switch to 5.1 I have sound across all streaming services. Dolby Atmos works on the normal TV and the Apple TV app, but not the Netflix or Prime apps via the apple TV 4K, the only work around is switching the setting to 5.1 on the apple 4K settings. Can anyone help me with this, as I would ideally not have to switch setting and hoped that the apple 4K would auto switch between atmos and 5.1 when available without changing settings time and time again? Thanks

I have a ARC, Sub, two One SL, and just picked up 2 Era 100s. I didn't realize that you can't add more than 2 surrounds when I purchased the Era 100s. The idea was the create 7.1 surround here which I guess is only truly achievable buy purchasing the Era 300s. But the price tag on those is insane for two of them. As a work around I have the SL ones now configured as stereo only and the Era 100s are now my surrounds. I can get the stereo only pair to play along with the setup but it's super annoying to have to use this work around. When will we get an update to enable 4 surround speakers without having to do this work around? If I had known about this earlier I wouldn't have purchased the additional units. They also can't be controlled with the same remote unless you purchase a third party remote to control them at the same time or manage the sound directly through the app. So everything I turn the TV on I have to manually group the additional stereo only speakers to the rest of the sys

Why doesnt my sonos 1 with alexa complete my verbal command to 'play Jazz on Pandora'?  Sonos 1 repeats: 'playing jazz on Pandora' BUT-- doesnt play the station at all, just silence.   However, when I use sonos 1 via sonos app/room, it plays the pandora station I requested? How can I fix this?

Good afternoon, I thought I was quite good at setting up the system but obviously not and hope you can asssist? I have system set up at home address below with 6 Sonos various speakers etc and all perfect until I purchased a Sonos Roam to be used elsewhere ( in our mobile home with different wifi). Not only can I  not set it up elsewhere but have messed up settings at home and cannot get access to my account or system as they are not highlighting? Would you have an idiots guide for me so I can sort please.

Really odd issue today. I am a long time owner of Sonos and have had this current set up for almost a year now. This morning I found out I cannot play any Spotify to Sonos via the Sonos App or Spotify Direct Control. It also does not work starting via Alexa. The experience I see if it connects to sonos via DC and I can even control the volume and see it relect in the Sonos app along with the song it is trying to play. But when I try to play, it looks like it is playing for 5-10s with no sound then skips to the next song. In the Sonos app it says it is unable to play the song - it lost connection to spotify, it does this for every song it skips. This is the same for playing via the Sonos App, not DC. I attached a screenshot below for the error when trying via Sonos App and another for the two spotify options that show up. When I called Customer Support to get help, we tried a number of things including: reboot all Sonos products (all unplugged then all plugged back in), reboot my modem a

La sortie jack de la era 300 est elle analogique ou numérique.  Mon lecteur cd possède une sortie coaxial pouvant être raccordée directement à la prise jack. Si elle analogique, je dois passer par un convertisseur qui dégrade la qualité  du son.Cordialement. Éric.

I just got a Sony XR-55A80K TV and I would like to send the audio output to my Play:1 speakers. Is this possible, and if so how do I do it?

I own an Arc connected to 2 symfonisk as surround. Is it possible to turn on and off the lights of the symfonisk via the Arc’s voice control?

Can I play tv station on iphone on play1

I am considering purchasing the Ultimate Immersive set w/Arc but before I pull the trigger, want to see if I can use my existing speakers. If so, what do I need to accomplish this?  Would one Sonos Amp connect to all?Fronts= Polk audio RTI70 floor standing speakersCenter= Klipsch RC-52 IIPowered Sub= Klipsch R-12SW If possible, I also have a pair of Definitive AW-6500’s outside that are currently not connected to anything that I would like to connect. Would the Gen2 Sonos connect amp be suitable for these? A Yamaha RX-V675 receive is currently powering them. I don’t care if I lose the receiver as I intend on Sonos (whatever I get)replacing its functionality for occasional FM Music and Movie watching. Thanks for any insight into my question. Victor

Is it possible to connect my CD-player with USB-connection via PC & Windows media player to my Sonos Play 5?I have no problem to stream music on my PC to Sonos Play 5. The CD-player shows up on the media player, but I can not stream the music to Sonos, like I can with local music albums on the PC.

When i put my sonos move on the charging base it will automatically connect to content on my phone that i wasn’t even listening to or watching and suddenly it is blaring in my house.  OMG is that irritating!!  I NEVER want auto play, period.  Can they not add a setting to prevent that from happening regardless of what app is causing it to start??  That was a rhetorical question, obviously Sonos could do that.  Is there some way of accomplishing what i’m asking about?  Please help!

Hi guys,I´ve been searching internet for almost a year now and I still can´t find anyone who sells the-best-for-my-daughter´s-room speaker, which I believe to be Play:1. I don´t expect it to be new of course, fairly used and treated will do. Can you point me to a right direction or maybe you sell one yourself?I live in Czech Republic (Czechia now).Let me know, thanks!JJ

I’ve had my Era 300s for many months now and just last night one of them made an ear-piercing alarm noise. I unplugged it and plugged it back in.It was fine until tonight when it did the same thing again.I sent a diagnostic report to Sonos and after that, I installed an update I found in the Sonos app.I have an Arc and 2 subs connected with the Era 300s. I saw the similar issue posted on here with the Arc, but mine is clearly coming from my Era 300.  I’m wondering if anyone with the Era 300 has experienced the same issue?

My beam will play music from my iPhone and it’s connected onto my system which is the same system as my Google TV. However, I cannot get it to play audio for the TV. The TV recognizes the beam because it switches automatically to it and when I disconnected the TV automatically switches back to TV audio. I have changed cables, and that did not help. Anyone have suggestions
