I recently installed YTM so that I can play music files located on my Android device.  The Sonos app lets me browse my media by artist and by album but will not let me browse by song.  I get the error message "unable to browse music".   The YTM app on my Android phone allows me to browse all of my songs but won't let me cast to Sonos.  I could be doing something wrong, does anyone have any suggestions or a work around?  Thanks. 

My system is two Play 1 speakers connected at 5GHz to a TalkTalk router (TalkTalk Hub). Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz have the same SSID. I have controller apps (S2) on iPad, Android phone and a Win11 Laptop also connected at 5GHz.My problem is that for roughly 50% of the time Sonos fails to find my music library which is on the laptop, reporting that the media server can’t be found.  Mostly, but not always, restarting the laptop resolves the issue. On opening an S2 app, during the “searching for your Sonos system” few seconds, a transient message appears saying that one of my devices might be unplugged (which it isn’t). Both speakers play.Any ideas as to how to avoid these frequent and annoying laptop restarts?

I recently bought hdfury Arcana for my old full hd Philips tv in combination with chromecast with tv and beam gen 2 etc. When i reset the Arcana Netflix is working full admos only Prime only DD+. I change the scaler in Arcana settings to 4k sdr 12b and change chromecast also to 4k and Prime is working again. My question is changing these settings will this harm any of my devices? Thank you.

Hello! I was trying to add a music folder to sonos s2 app windos 10 but it is stuck  in an infinite next next loop between select folder and adjust sharing options,  no error messages. Run the program as administrator,  I checked firewall settings but no luck,  I can play music  from pc app to sonos. any ideas?

Why is the possibility to play music from mobile phone disabled in Sonos app version 15.4?

Hi all,Spotify used to work reasonably well for me; sometimes it’d take a moment to connect to the speakers, but then it was fine.Since a short time (maybe 2 weeks or so?), I’ve noticed that quite often, it’ll just not go to the next song. In the Spotify app itself, it’ll show something like “4:50” for a song that’s only “3:44” etc, and just keep going until I hit next manually.Tracks will also hang intermittently, and the song shown in the Spotify app or Sonos won’t match what’s actually playing.My local music library does not have these problems, neither does Amazon Music, YouTube Music, or Bandcamp. So I’m assuming it’s unlikely to be a local networking problem (I’ve got a sufficiency of WLAN repeaters on my core network, plus a Boost). Indeed, sometimes when this happens during a Spotify session, the next song will indeed come from the previous queue of local library music!This is rather infuriating. Has anyone else observed this? My SONOS app used to start playback immediately after I selected a favorite station, but a few months ago, I started getting a page with a description of the station where I now have to press “play” to start the music. Why is this? It was so much better when I didn’t need to press a second time. SONOS seems to keep adding impediments to simple use of their app.

Hey friends!  My cell phones took a crap so I had to get a new one sent to me from Verizon. Since activating, the Sonos app doesn’t give me the ability to login?  It’s greyed out?  Ideas?  Surround is working so assuming all is good via the beam and surrounds  just not sure how to login with a new cell?  Thanks! 

I have a pair of ERA300s. Works great for streaming. However, when turntable is plugged in it usually only plays through the speaker with Line in. After says 15 mins the other speaker will kick in. I have swapped cables and left and right inputs from the turntable and get the same result. Plugging turntable into other hi-fi system does not suffer same results so I am thinking this is related to the Line in on the Sonos.Help!  

This is a new problem this year.  I listen to White Sox games on Chicago radio station ESPN AM 1000:  Streaming, Wifi, Sonos speakers, I guess it's "Tune In" radio because that's always mentioned at the start of any transmission.  I live in Palos Height, IL which is a suburb of Chicago.  I'm hearing the game without problems when suddenly a man's voice says something about White Sox games being blacked out in some areas due to contractual obligations.  Then this recording keeps repeating until I tap the Sonos speaker off and then on again.  Then I'm back to getting the game until the next interruption.  I think these interruptions occur during what would normally be commercial breaks.  I listen to Cubs games on a different radio station, but via the same means otherwise, and this never happens during those games.  Looking for some resolution to this problem!

I have an Arc + sub + 2 ones right now but am moving into a room where visually a sound bar would not be ideal. There are windows or doors on almost every wall. I’m planning to have a projector screen drop down when needed, which will cover a window, but otherwise would like to avoid seeing any hardware at all. So I’m wondering if I could do everything with in ceiling speakers. Can I do two Amps, 1 for the front pair to function instead of my Arc and a second rear pair as surrounds? And how terrible will this sound to me since I am currently used to the Arc?

My Sonos amp is located in my AV room and it’s wired to 2 ceiling speakers in my Gym.  I have a Sony TV in the Gym room but the AV company could not get it connected to the Amp with the Ethernet wiring. First Question: is there a way to get the TV connected to the Amp with the Ethernet wiring or a wireless connection to the Amp?Second Question: If I install a Sonos Beam to the TV (Direct TV box installed behind TV) with a HDMI cable from the TV ARC output to the Beam—-when I turn on the TV will it automatically find the Beam and the Amp —-therefore play the TV/Direct TV audio through the Beam and 2 ceiling speakers?

I have three Play:1 speakers that I was running on my Internet wireless. I no longer have Internet. I do have a new wireless LAN set up and would like to use it to run my Sonos system with a music library on a local Mac mini providing the source for the music I’ll play on it. Is it possible to set this up and operate it  with no Internet connection? Setting it up seems to require that I log in to my Sonos account, which of course can’t be done without Internet. I can tether my cell phone to my cell data, but doing that disconnects me from the local wireless network that would run Sonos. Is it possible to set up and run these three speakers without having Internet access? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. 

Got new WiFi yesterday and can't connect my Sonos 5 (2nd gen). I get the 'Let's Fix It' message but then the app just says 'Sonos not found'.  Does anyone know how to sort this?  Thank you 

Hi - My Sonos One responds to Alexa for usual commands (lists, weather etc), but will not play music.If I say Alexa Play some music, it selects a playlist from Amazon Music but nothing plays. The voice service is linked, skill enabled in Alexa. (Actually my default service is spotify in Alexa)   What am I doing wrong?  

I play something on Spotify, then I want to listen that on my Sonos Move which is on its charging station. To do that I click On Spotify App > Select device > Sonos.The issue is that sometimes (not always) Spotify app shows “connecting...” but the connection is not established. However (and that’s the thing I don’t get) when I grab the Sonos Move away from the charging station, the connection got established. Since that time on, Sonos works perfectly fine, 1) away from the charging station or also b) when I put it back in the charging station. Did it happen to you too? PS: As an alternative, I can fix that by resetting the Sonos Move (Move it away from the charging station, then click and hold reset button for 5 sec). From now on, the connection is established even when the Sonos move is at charging station.

I have a Beam Gen 2 and paired with it are two rear surrounds (Sonos One Gen 2) and a sub (Gen 2, Sonos). The Beam G2 supports Dolby Atmos. I know Atmos adds height related audio. My question is: Is this a 5.1 set up? Or is it 7.1 (or something else) because of the Dolby Atmos? I’m not sure if just by supporting Atmos if the Beam G2 means it also has 2 extra speakers in it (hence 7.1 not 5.1 confusion) to handle that, or if it just simply means it can decode and play back Atmos sources properly.tl;dr - With a Beam G2, Sub G2, and two rear Sonos Ones G2 is my setup 5.1 or 7.1 or something else? I recently purchased a Sony X95K mini LED tv and geek squad attached my sonos beam to it. The beam will not play the TV audio UNLESS I follow these steps: TV and sonos OFF, apple TV and cable HDMI unplugged. TV on, sonos ON...plug only the sonos beam HDMI in connect sonos beam via the sonos app to the TV Last: plug in apple tv and cableevery time I turn the TV off, I must repeat this process if I want the beam to play the TV audio.Does anyone have a work around? It seems as if the sonos beam has to be the “priority” plug-in. I’ve read and done research that confirms this but there has to be a work around….

I am thinking about purchasing a Sonos Move for my master bathroom. I need a wireless speaker that will remain on (in sleep mode) so that whenever I walk into the bathroom, I can just ask Alexa to play music without having to turn on the power button. Is that how the Move operates? Does it have to continuously be in its charging cradle for it to operate like that? Or can it be wireless and continuously be in sleep mode until voice activated? I reseted my Sonos move and trying to connect with Alexa but when I ask to play music it's says the request but doesn't play music for radio station for me or Spotify it says it's going to play then the plays no music. I'm also trying to connect it with the alexa app which I can't find us I'm not sure why it's not playing music. I can ask Alexa questions but it's just a music which is not playing
