Beam has stopped powering up.Can it be rescued?

I found a Sonos speaker in two feet of water, and it powered up right away. Is there a way to return it to the owner? I imagine they would be thrilled. My guess was that I might be able to do it by installing the Sonos app. If I turn the unit on and have the app search for the speaker, would it recognize that it is registered to someone else? Would they be notified automatically?

Update to 15.6 took 30 minutes. Why so long???Total of 32 Sonos units. Sonos S2 Using SonosNet and WiFi for Era 300’s & 100’s and Sonos Move x 2 Home network is Asus AiMesh (Main node x 2 sat’s with Ethernet backhaul)  Diagnostic 1561083275.Will call later to speak with Sonos Tech Support or you may respond to this post before that. Thanks!

I have two One’s that work great for music, but when I use them with AirPlay via Apple TV as an alternate output, they disconnect after 5-10 minutes - well, sound stops, but going to the Apple TV and Sonos App, it shows connected. All firmware is up to date on all hardware, Sonos + AppleTV.Have reset them all, unplugged, etc, still same outcome. Is this normal? Thanks! Moderator edit: Changed Play:1 to One for accuracy

So, I have an Arc, Sub Mini (and two Era 200s). I can't get the Sonos app to show the Atmos indicator from the Sonos app. I'm playing tracks that already to be Atmos from Amazon Music or Tidal.I reduced the surrounds to just leave the Arc and Sub Mini and it's the same.Do I need to remove the Sub as well?

Is anyone else opening the Sonos app and it says Sonos like normal than just goes to a black screen

Hello all, I am having an issue with my library that is stored on a synology NAS. The NAS is located at work and I use my home PC to sync my music library to the NAS. The NAS backup is in a to-way sync. Problem is, multipe versions of the same playlist are appearing on the android app, often followed by a series of numbers like it’s doing some sort of version control. I have checked my sync settings in synology and the files themselves. There is only one .m3u file in the playlists folder. How can this be remedied? Sonos documentation is not helpful. Is there a setting in synology that is doing a hidden version control/backup? I cannot delete playlists that don't exist in my files.

hi all!First of all, I’m new to the Sonos community. Love the Sonos Ones I have in some rooms, great sound and (user) experience overall. Its a bit of a pitty to understand that the soundbars are not offering so far video passthrough, which is required to extend the compatibility to budget “friendlier” 4K projectors. Is there any hope to see a soundbar adding a video passthrough? (its a shame to read suggestions to buy a splitter no matter which brand - it just adds another device and more cabling which is not nice).Overall - there is a huge community of “home cinema enthusiast” that is left behind with this. thks in advance,Andres.

Hi, I have been using Sonos for over 15 years, was an early adopter. I have 3 Sonos Ones unit connected to my Sonos S1 App and they work fine. I have had an old ZP80 and ZP100 connected together to a S2 App. The latter used to work fine, and as I have changed my router it stopped working. If I wire it to the router it temporary works. Once ethernet cable unplugged it disconnects.  Can you please help? Many thanks!

I have (2) Era 100s as a stereo pair and a Sub Mini currently set up in my home office for listening to music while I work. I am looking at getting a Beam soundbar for the TV I have in this room and would like to create a surround sound system while watching movies. Am I able to create two “rooms” in the Sonos app that share devices: Beam + Eras + Sub for TV surround -and- Eras + Sub for music? The devices would stay put in both configurations. If I’m being silly and should just embrace the added audio of the Beam while listening to music, let me know.

I want to put a roam under the overhang on my front porch and charge via a solar panel similar to my ring camera. I’m live in Santa Barbara (home of Sonos!) so weather isn't that much a factor but my 2 questions are: Would the solar panel (2-5W) charge the roam? I wouldn’t be using it a lot but didnt know if it needs to be a certain watt size to take a charge.  can the roam remain “on” so i dont have to turn it on each time similar to my move or other sonos products.

I recently had a new router installed.  The Sonos S1 app (on iPod touch) now can’t find my2 x play 5s, when I try to connect to existing system.Do I try to connect both 5s at the same time, or should I connect one then the second one.All my music is on the iPod so I don’t want to have to buy a new device and upload it all. Has anyone had this issue and if so, how did they resolve it.Any help appreciated, otherwise I’m back to playing cds 😩

I have a Sub Gen 2. I want to purchase the arc and era 300s. Will this be compatible and a 7.1 experience?

I am using the Alexa skill Sleeping Jar for many years now, and I'm using it on my Sonos devices since day 1 of the Alexa integration.Since the recent FW update 15.6 the skill no longer works correctly. The noises of the skill are played back in an endless loop, meaning they play until you stop it. This worked perfectly fine also on Sonos devices, but after the recent FW update to version 15.6, the playback ends after one hour. I'm not sure if this is the length of one loop, or if it's a limit within the Sonos code, but it definitely is an issue introduced by Sonos FW 15.6. The issue is present on all my Sonos devices, while the skill works perfectly fine on my Echo devices.I am aware of the potential alternatives within the Sonos universe - none of them is an alternative for me. Let alone that I'm paying for the Pro version of the skill. Thanks for looking into this.

Hi,i would like to know wich service IS better. It seems like sonos voici control recognize more song by Deezer than Alexa xith Spotify. However Deezer app doesn't connect to sonos Era 100 like Spotify does.So i don't know wich one to choose

HiI have one arc, two one SL as rear and one sub gen 3 Now I want to use two era 300 as rear and move the two one SL to the front via grouping. Will that work???

I set up a Netgear mesh system around the home for better Wi-Fi coverage. I’ve spent almost 2 hours attempting to have my Sonos system run on the stronger, better coverage mesh system.  I’ve set all of my speakers, 8 in all, to the Netgear Wi-Fi, which has a different I.D than my main router. All my speakers showed up in my Sonos app, except my Move, and have played music through all speakers after changing the Wi-Fi to the Netgear mesh. Now when opening the Sonos app it doesn’t show any speakers set up in my system.  The app searches for my speakers but cannot find them after trying for about 15 minutes.  Do I need to do a hard reset?  I followed the instructions within the app to change my Wi-Fi.  At first it was successful.  Not so much now.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for any help.

I am getting versions of the error below constantly with Relisten.  I have tried different songs and get the error over and over again until, suddenly they just work.  I do not have similar issues with other services and there seems to be little rhyme or reason to when it works (20% of the time maybe) or when it does not work (80%).

Cross posting here from the Reddit group.I just finished listening to the Q&A and reviewing a lot of posts in this group but I don't think that I fully understand.  (By the way, the link in the email didn’t work on my computer and I had to log on late using my mobile.)I want to use two ERA speakers as rear speakers to pair with my Arc and Subwoofer. I am interested in the ERA speakers because of the line in option to use with a CD player or turntable. I also want to use the system for Bluetooth streaming.I heard during the recording that the ERA speakers is the easiest way to connect other content to the overall speaker system, but then I also heard that the sound system was only one way from the ARC to the ERA speakers. From the comments in this group, it sounds like I can get this setup to work by doing different setups for each use case, but that is not clear.I do understand that streaming from my mobile will not provide Atmos level sound, but how do you set up the system to be

I want to use the 300’s as rear speakers in home theatre setup with Arc an Gen 3 sub. Rears must go on top of cabinetry with ample side spaces as suggested. My question relates to the sound quality resulting with only 12” above top of speaker as opposed to the recommended 24.” What are your opinions/experience with this situation. I hate to spend the big bucks if this will significantly reduce performance. Thanks for your input.    Ed

Are these two compatible through bluetooth to each other, before I purchase?

I want to move away from a traditional AV Receiver and hardwired non-powered speakers  in my home theater. How can I leverage a Sonos home theater surround system with multiple sources (Cable TV/Apple TV/Fire TV/Blu-Ray/LaserDisc/SVHS VCR) without an AV switching receiver/amplifier and still take advantage of a Sonos Dolby Atmos wireless experience?

Why in the Sonos advertising is the Sub Mini never recommend to be used with the Arc?

The newest Sonos app and iOS release removed the ability to control volume, pause/play, and track skip via the iPhone buttons and Lock Screen. So be it. On the iWatch, the apps don’t close and I keep my watch unlocked when it’s on my wrist, so I have most functionality available when I’m using Spotify, Apple Music, etc. When will Sonos develop an app for the iWatch that provides similar functionality when it’s open and active?

Playing vinyl via Port results in very poor sound quality on Move (1950’s portable AM radio level).  Vinyl via port on the rest of my Sonos system sounds great (Amp, One, Play 1, SL).  Move quality is great with other sources. Move is not being moved when moving from say Spotify to vinyl, so not signal loss. Since quality on 9 other Sonos devices is great, it’s not a record player issue.  Software is current.  It’s done this since day one couple years ago.  Confused.
