I am renovating a house and will have a family room with a surround sound setup ( Arc + 2 Era 300s + Subwoofer Gen 3).  The living room is separated from the family room by a thick wall. I was planning on using two era 300 speakers in the family room primarily for use as a stereo setup. I was wondering if I could place the Subwoofer in the wall separating the two rooms and depending on which room I was in, have the subwoofer provide the bass for either room.  If this would work I would place the subwoofer between studs and finish the wall by installing a grill with speaker cloth to hide the subwoofer.  Would this work?

For some reason my Sonos 1 has lost contact with my NAS.I also use Sonos 2 and it connects to the NAS without any problem (at least at the moment it does).I’m running Mac OS 13.5 on my MacBook Pro and OS 16.5.1 on my iPhone.I’m using a MyCloud NAS connected to my router.I’ve tried re-entering the path for my NAS (//MyCloud-0S3D6K/Public/music) to no avail.Any suggestions???Thanks

Am new to Sonos and Sub Gen 3 is on its way. Am wondering if setting the crossover for the sub works the same as setting the crossover in a processor/preamp i.e. set to 80 Hz and no speaker will play lower than 80 Hz other than the sub.OR with Sonos, will only the sub play up to whatever frequency is set as the crossover and the rest of the speakers will play down to their Hz limits? i.e. sub set to 80 Hz and inceiling speakers can play to 40 Hz. Will inceiling speakers only play down to 80 Hz like in a traditional processor/preamp setting? Or will they play down to 40 Hz?

Wont play audio

Hello. I am building my home theater system.Right now, I connect my pc to Sound Blaster GC7 through usb and connect GC7 to Sonos Beam Gen 2 through the Optical to HDMI converter comes with the beam.I set the Sound Blaster GC7 output to 7.1 surround, not virtual 7.1. Why in my app, the audio in still show Stereo PCM 2.0? Thank you

I have a new Sony TV and Sonos Arc, and I've noticed that when the Arc is plugged in, there is a significant additional delay between the TV remote and TV. It happens with changing the volume, as well as navigating Netflix and other streaming services. Is this normal and unavoidable, or is there any way around it?Could I remedy this situation if instead of the Sony TV’s Android TV, if I used an Apple TV or nVidia Shield?

I have tried everything that has been written about getting this update to work. I just received my new 2023 MacBook Pro and am attempting to use the Sonos controller on it. The OS Ventura 13.2 hasn't changed from my previous 2017 MacBook Pro. I have deleted the Sonos app, fully, and tried downloading and installing from the Sonos download area. The refuses to update or find my system. I have been in the Beta group so that my be adding to the issue. The Sonos apps work fine in iOS on iPhone 14, and 3rd Gen iPad Pro. So far, nothing seems to work on my MacBook Pro where all the music files are stored. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Calibrate my Sonos system with an android. Beam era 100, mini woofer?

Hola! Buenas noches, como hago para enlazar mi Sonos Beam 2gen a mi Sonos Era 300? Mi tv no me los toma juntos

How do I select to play through the wired speakers connected to an amp? My Sonos app can only play through my Sonos Roam wireless speaker

So I upgraded my old internet service to our community's new fiber network. So on the new 1Gig fiber, I've managed to get two speakers onto the network simultaneously. But the third? I can get it to connect and work when it's alone, but it will not appear/work with either one of the other two speakers. I wasn't trying to get all three to run simultaneously, not yet. The third will not appear with another speaker either wired or wireless. The bad news? All my playlists are on speaker #3. BUT: I downloaded Sonosaver (https://sonosaver.mrupp.ch/) and I stalled it and the Sonos app for Windows on my PC. The good news is that I exported the playlists from speaker #3 and successfully imported them to Speakers 1 and 2. So now I can run two speakers and have the playlists, too.But I want the third speaker to participate, too. Does anyone have insights about this?

I’ve recently changed broadband from sky to community broadband and I’m having difficulty connecting my speakers to the network, can anyone advise?

Installers replaced my sound bar with a Sonos surround sound. Before the Sonos install I was controlling volume with Directv and now it's Sonos Beam even though I am using the Directv remote. I prefer the Directv control remote...it's more responsive. Any suggestions?

I am really tired of this issue where the Sonos app for Mac attempts to update itself but fails with an error. Question on this topic keep getting closed but the company is not actually solving the issue! The solution is to go the web site and manually download the latest version of the app. Fine, but then don’t waste my time with this fake self-updating that doesn’t actually work; just take me to the web site to start with.

Hello,My system is composed of 3 Sonos One SL.One keeps disappearing from app.My internet service provider is Bell Canada. They provide the Wifi Modem, and I absolutely need their pods. These work on 2.4 ghz (like Sonos).Sounds like they’re incompatible with Sonos, unless there’s a workaround…Thanks

Hi, I had an existing setup of Sonos One and Sonos 5 Gen2 that worked fine prior to buying a Roam & Roam SL (paired in stereo). The Roams are connected to my router (Fritzbox 7530) on 5Ghz band and the older speakers on 2.4Ghz band. The ssid for the two bands is the same. Google assistant fails on the Roam (setup fine on the Sonos One) and when I turn on the Roams, the One and 5 disappear from the Sonos app. Spotify can still see all speakers in this instance though. Are these known issues? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a Sonos Play 5 and a Sonos Five.  After a change of residence I have a problem with the existing router.  It is a gated community with a fixed internet with wifi.  The router : Hap ac lite.  Very good reception on smartphones and firesticks.  The Play 5 is recognized by the Sonos system, but also lost again in between.  The Five cannot be installed at all, always expecting me to restart the router or to remove the box from the network and/or reset it to the factory settings.  Is the router the problem?

New sub mini keeps disconnecting from my system. I reconnected it every day and by the next day it is disconnected again.

Hi CommunityWhen I play loud music, my Sonos Amp suddenly decreases the volume. It then tries to turn it up again, but will lower it again. I can the turn volume down - wait a little while - and then i can play loud music again - not for long. When touching the AMP it is not warm at all. There is no change on the volume bars in app or PC controller. I have created an diagnostic: 1541814471Hope to get this solved Best regardsThomas

Hoping this will help some others overcome this funky software.I set up a pair of Roam devices on network A.I then needed to change them to network B.I hard reset both Roam devices and connected them successfully to network B.Less than 30s later, they disconnected from network B and reconnected themselves to network A.Solution:go to System > Network > Manage Networks > click network A > Remove restart your phone (to make sure Sonos app is not running!) reset your device follow the procedure to add a new device and you should be good to go

I have a Samsung S10 and the Sonos App won't let me use my on-phone music library.Whenever I enter the file path, the App reports 'storage cannot be found'.I've tried changing the file path, enabling access to files and have spent hours trying to establish how to allow the Sonos App to access my music collection, so any help will be greatly appreciated?

Sonos OneConnect Sonos One to run without Cell phone.I have done this in the past. I would move my Sonos One from my office to my basement.  After moving Sonos One I would have to mess around with the buttons on the top to get it to play again. , To use it I would simply say “Alexa play Frank Sinatra with spotify”.  It worked great. Now for some reason it will not work at all. I have messed around with the button on the bank and the buttons on top with no luck. What must I do.What is the sequence of the buttons to make it work. After the move?Is there a way to move the Sonos one where I don't have to mess around with buttons?Bob

Hi, Just bringing up the problem with Audible stopping after a few minutes when initiated using Alexa on Sonos. Did this ever get properly resolved? We have the same issue here. I’ve read a few threads but as far as I can see there is still no resolution to this after many months. Apologies if I am missing the obvious but I haven’t found an answer. I’ve raised this with Audible too but they are not being a great deal of help. This is a deal breaker for us. If we can’t get Audible working properly when controlled with Alexa, we’ll have to sell our Sonos products and look for a different platform. This probably suits Amazon because Echo devices may well be our only option, but it doesn’t really work well for Sonos. It would be a shame though. I love our Sonos system. Audible works fine when controlled through the Sonos app, it’s only the voice control that causes problems, but as a household we all read audio books veraciously, so this is a big deal. Thanks.

HelloI’d like to know if can enjoy dolby atmos of the Amazon unlimited catalogue if I ad a sonos submini and two sonos one to my bar sonos bean 2Thanks

Hi.I understand that Google Assistant (GA) has been unable to play BBC Radio 4 for about 2 years now...despite the fact that Sonos supports BBC Sounds. I don’t want to use my phone to command listening to the radio, esp if I’m doing something in the kitchen. What’s interesting though, is that if you ask GA for BBC Radio 4 it serves up BBC Radio Jersey. So, something is happening, there’s a matching process going on in google somewhere and it finds a near neighbour. Does anybody know who to put pressure on in Google to nudge this over the line?eg.
