Installers replaced my sound bar with a Sonos surround sound. Before the Sonos install I was controlling volume with Directv and now it's Sonos Beam even though I am using the Directv remote. I prefer the Directv control remote...it's more responsive. Any suggestions?

The Beam is connected to your TV with an HDMI cable? If so, it should be getting the volume control from the TV. However, if I recall correctly, the DirecTV remote is an IR remote, you could go into the room settings for the Beam, and set up the remote there, so that the Beam works from the DirecTV remote instead of the ARC.

Those installers should have taken care of this for you.

What model TV are you using? Do the DirecTV Volume buttons currently control anything?
