Sonos suddenly stopped working, and when trying to re connect, an error 500 occurs saying that we can’t configure your Spotify account at the moment. What to do?And no “restart router” answers, please.

I have a Sonos Beam (gen 1), and recently noticed that it can’t seem to handle monaural sound. I have a number of blu-rays in mono (Dolby Digital or DTS 1.0), but the Beam won’t output the sound. If I unplug the HDMI cable then plug it back in, it does play the sound out of the left channel for a second, but then loses it again. Anybody else found this issue, or know of a solution?

Hi, I currently don't have any SONOS kit but I am considering an ARC + Subwoofer + 2 x Era 300 for surround speakers. My question is if I adopt that setup can the two Era 300 speakers used as surround speakers be used as standalone speakers to play streaming music (as opposed to Home Cinema via the ARC soundbar) or does configuring the speakers in this way somehow prohibit using them as standalone speakers?

Previously, we had our album artwork showing correctly on our PC Controllers and o our phones (iPhone and Samsung Galaxy) My partner has poor eyesight, so relies on the artwork to identify the album he wants to play. Now, the artwork isn’t showing on either phone, but it is there in both PC’s Controllers? We have done a Music Library update on both controllers, but the problem is still there. Can you help please?(As we have an older Sonos 5, we are still on Sonos S1 system)

How do I lower the base on my sinus 5

I switched from a Sonos S1 networked system using NAS drive to just using the music off my computer.  Upon doing this and updating my system software - the 2 CR200’s no longer work.  I read some previous posts that the using a networked system - the CR200’s will still work.  Do I have to switch back to my NAS drive or is my CR200’s finally dead?  Thanks Brian

In the process of upgrading my Sonos 1 system, which actually works well for me, apart from an ongoing problem of zones appearing and disappearing and not being able to be reliably grouped. I don’t think I would upgrade if it wasn’t for this problem - Sonos 2 gives me no obvious benefits for my use case.Purchased a new Sonos Amp to start my upgrade and understand the process and the improvements. What I immediately noticed is that when the Amp is plugged in all zones in the Sonos 1 system are listed reliably and can be grouped and ungrouped at will. Unplug the Amp and old situation returns. Both Amp snd old system (8 zones) are showing as being on SonosNet and all zones are wired where possible. My question is this: is the Amp fulfilling the same function as a Boost would fulfil? Or in other words, will the purchase of a Boost solve my zone dropout problem? If yes, I may not bother moving to Sonos 2, saving over £4k and a whole ton of hassle. In the worst case I am even considering leavi

Hello,I have iTunes 12.12 on a Windows 11 PC.  I have lots of iTunes Playlists, but I do not know where on the PC they are stored. My iTunes Media Folder is set to D:/iTunesLibrary.I have set the Sonos app to look for my Music Library in D:/iTunesLibrary and also a folder called D:/iTunes.  I have imported the PC’s music library numerous times into Sonos, and the mp3 files appear, but the playlists do not appear in the “Imported Playlists” area.I have previously imported the folder C:Users/Username/Music into Sonos, and that has not caused the playlists to appear.  Evidently the playlists are in none of these three folders (??).Can anyone suggest1- How can I ask my Windows PC “In which folder on this PC are the iTunes playlists located?”or2- Any suggestions for how to make the playlists appear in the Sonos “Imported Playlists” tab?

what is the least expensive was to play sound from my computer with my older Sonos one

Why is it you ask a question to get directed to a solution but they go astray and never answer the question Even chat technicians? I was put on an automated reply every 6 minutes “We are working on this issue someone will be with you shortly“  for an hour  I told them in so many words  what they can do with their incompetence and rudeness Now A survey pops up while I’m trying to post and create a topic Who are these narcissist people. No pat on the back for this company Upgrading products or degrading products to make them incompatable with a N A S drive now I spent all this money and am not spending anymore Very Disturbing

When  I hit ther green dots to the right of My Stations, the only thing it offers me is “Remove from My Sonos.” I want to add stations. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Hi, I have my Sonos App language set as English / UK, my Spotify App is set to English / UK, my Samsung mobile is English / UK.When i access Spotify App native, it is correct and text / titles are in English. When I access the Spotify service from my Sonos App (embedded), it shows up with German or French headings.  If i then click the ‘pop-out’ icon to jump out the Sonos App to Spotify (native), the language headings are all English as I’d expect.  But close it down and drop back to the Sonos App view of Spotify and its German / French!?I have checked every language option on Sonos App, Spotify and Android and even confirmed on a web browser log-in and its all flagged correctly for me, as English - open Sonos App and its incorrect. Can anyone help here, user error or issue on the Sonos side? Thanks in advance

Is the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO compatible with Sonos 5Is the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO better than the Sonos Pro-ject Debut carbon ?

Hi. Just linked my new Beam to existing sub and play:1s and get great sound from the TV via the Sonos surround sound set up. I also want to link my blu ray player and freesat top box to my Tv and listen to them via my Sonos speakers but only have 1 hdmi cable into the Tv so thought I could use an hdmi splitter to switch between sources. Am I correct and if so what features of a splitter do I need to look for. Thanks

Recently updated my Mac to Ventura and it will not AirPlay to any of my Sonos speakers. It sees them, shows as connected but zero audio. I thought it may relate to HomeKit so added all speakers in there. They show up but with a banner saying something like ‘This device is not compatible’.Under previous OS I had no problems whatsoever. Should add that AirPlay from my iPhone & iPad works perfectly to all speakers & rooms. Issue seems to be 100% with the Ventura OS. Any thoughts?

I’ve been trying to set my lg c2 and my Sonos beam 2 to get Dolby atmos but all I had was Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0.I realize that some have problems with it but they solve it by changing by changing the options below. Note: I’m using Apple Music (Dolby atmos works fine when using through the Sonos app but isn’t on LG anyone else have the same problem?

Roam battery drains even with device off! is that normal?

Hi - that’s the problem.  Listening to roam and it/they go to zero volume randomly.  Makes them unusable.Controlling using iOS, sometimes through Sonos app, sometimes using another app (Apple Music, Spotify, etc). Happens on BT and on networked system.  So the problem is constant across all connectivity and across apps. Any help appreciated!

Having had the Sonos addiction for many years, I am now fortunate to have multiple Sonos players in various rooms. When I select a group like ‘kitchen’ is there an easy way of synching the volume to all the players in that group? Currently I have around 6 players in total in the kitchen and depending on who used them last, i have to manually sync the volume using the individual sliders for each player.  would be helpful if there is a ‘sync all’ type thing but I can’t see anything obvious.

Am planning on wiring 2 sets of Sonance in-ceiling speakers (MAG8R) to a single Sonos Amp. In doing so, how much output / volume will be lost with powering both sets of speakers at the same time?

Anyone have problems with system slow to respond, only has since latest update.

Hi thereI have SONOS set up in our main home with access to Apple Music and Amazon Prime Music.I understand that in the network in our holiday home, I need a different account. However, if that 2nd account is with a different email address, I am unable to connect the Apple and Amazon streaming services since they are linked to my main account.Would anyone have any ideas on how to work this out? Thanks!

With the 12v trigger output from the Sonos Port there must be a way to convert this signal to IR and turn on the AV receiver? This would save having to turn it on via the remote My Denon hasn’t got a 12v trigger input unfortunately

Our internet was down for several hours and for some reason, when it came back up, our Sonos equipment did not.We have an Arc with a pair of surrounds (Play 1)When trying to get the system up and running again, somehow 2 of the same room was created. The rooms appear in Settings > Systems as follows: Family Room Sonos (?+?)Arc SL Family Room Sonos (L+R)Play:1 When I open either of the rooms, they both show the same equipment: Arc SL, Play:1 (Right) and Play:1 (left) and they are all connected to the same WiFi network. If I try to rename one of the rooms, it renames them both so somehow they are linked. If I turn on my tv, the sound only comes from the Arc (first listed Family Room)If I select the room via Spotify to play music, the sound comes from the Play speakers (second Family Room) How do I eliminate one of these rooms and get all three components to play together?

@Corry P Some Reddit users noticed that the Surround Audio TV Level setting doesn’t actually change the rear surround levels on the Era 300s. So I decided to test it for myself. When playing a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 Test Tones video and a DTS 7.1 Sound Check video, the TV Level setting has no affect on the levels of the rear surround channels. It only changes the side surround levels. When playing a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 Test Tones video, the TV Level setting has no affect on the levels of both surround channels. BUT when playing a DTS 5.1 Sound Check video, the TV Level setting DOES change the levels of the two surround channels.NOTE: The DTS audio is being played as Multichannel PCM from a Blu-ray player. Is this a bug in the software?
