If I listen to music, the arc into era100s both play as they are set up insurround but with the TV era 100s don’t play

Hello can I ask has Sonos changed their parameters in the ways of storing filesI have a I have a Western Digital my iCloud at home with all my MP3s on and I drop in an XML file into the list to create and receive my playlists on the hard drive😭 🫣I've been changing my files out and re-doing them I've deleted my playlists and I have tried to reinstall the XML file and it is not allowing me to add my playlist🤬🤬🤬🤯🤯Now these are large files talking of 9000 odd songs 60 playlists how is the easiest way to sort this out please🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻This is how I've changed my XML file. Therefore it should be able to read it as all the music is there but not the playlists.Users/markburton/Music/Music/Media.localizedPublic/Shared Music Thank you very much, Mark

My child has an Apple Music account, but no iOS devices of her own. How do you setup Apple Music in Sonos without a iPhone/iPad?We have only a Sonos Move.

Hi I recently added a sub gen 3 to my arc speaker.My question is - do I need to retune the setup again ?What about moving the sub across the room from time to time… Do I need to retune every time I moved it ?

Or should I keep the sub 2 connected the Five in the medium room? Also, the sub connected to the arc in the large room isn’t really shaking or rattling the room at all. I honestly was expecting a very large boom for the price. Am I doing something wrong with the sub connected to the arc? 3. Is this the best set up for loud music that could shake the room if needed?

I have no problem casting music from the Spotify or Audible app on my cell phone to my Sonos Move. But the Sonos app itself is mostly greyed out and cannot find the speaker. On my laptop the speaker does not come up when I tried to cast from Spotify. I have a new computer and the recently installed Sonos app also can’t find find the speaker. On my old computer I also couldn’t cast from Spotify but I could cast from the Sonos app on my PC. Very frustrating.

I have done all the correct setup actions to link my new Era 300 to Amazon Music and the Amazon voice assistant. However though the voice assistant can give me a weather forecast it can't play any music from my Amazon Music library. 'I am having a problem' message. Nor can I use the Amazon Music app to connect to the Era 300 - it connects but doesn't play music.I have a Sonos Arc where all works fine on the same system.I noticed that in devices Alexa shows the Arc as Sonos controlled. But the Era 300 isn't Sonos controlled as if its an Amazon speaker like an Echo dot.Tried all the usual fixes like disabling / re-enabling the Sonos skill in Alexa, de-registering the device in the Amazon account but no success.Any ideas?

Hi Sonos community,Anyone having issues to install the Sonos official wall mount in a plasterboard wall?I drilled and installed a wall plug but the screws included with the kit won’t stop twisting… The Sonos Era 300 haven’t arrived yet but I tested with a similar weight and not feeling very confident as you can see the wall mount coming off a bit from the wall…Any ideas or suggestions?Thanks in advance.

My son bought the beam and 2 stand alone 1 speakers TCL TVAlways could control vol using my DTV remote and speakers are not set up as surround so the tv beam n family n kitchen speakers play same program on tvSpeakers stopped working Reset surround which I did not like but DTV remote still worked the volume Tonight I called SONOS again to make speakers repeat what tv beam is doingdid not check DTV Volume but now it will not regulate the volume as it has always doneturned tv off to try and resetno luckcalled SONOS a waste of time Hope someone can help me get back my DTV Volume control  

We've recently changed our broadband to BT. The beam is working fine but no sounds from SL1 surrounds..they all say connected..I've tried factory resetting and rebooting the router. In the system info it says surrounds won't work with the WiFi? But when I take them off as surrounds and added just as speakers they work fine with the WiFi. How do you set on alarm on iOS? It says to click on the rooms tab? Where is that? When I click on main bedroom - I don’t see alarm?

I have a Samsung 2019 Q60 TV which has an ARC port but I am having trouble making Dolby Atmos work. Netflix: Plays Dolby Digital+ 5.1 Apple TV+: Plays Dolby Atmos fine XBOX: Says my device is not Dolby Atmos compatible.My advanced settings on the TV are as follows. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Sonos support blame xbox, samsung support blame sonos, xbox support blame everybody else…  

Hi I have a fairly old Sonos set up and products consisting of a bridge, a beam gen 1, a play 1 and a play 3. Everything works perfectly fine at present but we are doing some work in the house and I am considering installing ceiling speakers in the kitchen. I have been looking at the Sonance speakers plus Sonos Amp for this. My understanding is that with the new Amp my bridge becomes redundant but that my play 1 and 3 won’t connect to it so potentially I need to update those. What about the beam ? Can’t it, does it have to connect to the Amp to make it work and is that possible. All products are well independent and have different purposes if that makes any difference with the beam used for tv sound, play 3 for living room and play 1 for kitchen (to be replaced by ceiling speakers). Any help advice would be most welcome as I am a bit lost.

I have recently set up the Arc, Gen 3 woofer and 2 x Era 300s as surrounds.  They are connected to a Prism Q65 Pro TV which I now know doesn’t have eArc and only has Arc, which is not really good.  Problem I am having is I am not getting the real Atmos experience that I was sold on when I went to the SONOS showroom where you could really hear the sounds from above (great marketing).To try and overcome the lack of eArc I am thinking of purchasing the NVIDIA Shield Pro and using it to process the Dolby Atmos titles on the various streaming services. Can anyone provide me feedback on whether the Shield Pro is going to give me a better Atmos experience than what I am currently getting on the Prism TV?  I get the Atmos logo when streaming but I am not convinced the upward firing channels are working.  I am hoping the Shield will process the sound channels better.  As I understand I connect the Shield to one of the HDMI ports on the TV and then still use the ARC port to connect the SONOS Arc

Hi. I noticed there are a lot of threads dedicated to this issue dating back to 2021, but none look like they were ever resolved.  I have Sonos playbar + sub + 2 rear Sonos ones. A PS5 is connected to my Samsung Q90T via hdmi and a digital optical is connected to my Playbar. When I play games with Dolby or DTS (via ps5 audio setting) there is a noticeable lag when characters are talking in-game. When I switch to PCM via PS5 settings, the lag issue goes away, but it’s no longer 5.1 anymore. It’s stereo. I tried an eARC pass through adapter which worked for a little while (i think) then didn’t anymore. I was thinking of getting the Sonos Arc but read that people are still having the same issue, as are people with Sony and LG TVs. The PS5 is clearly the culprit, but Sony has done nothing to resolve or even acknowledge the issue. Has anyone figured out a solve? 

In my living room, I have two fives and two ones. If I get the sub, can I group it to the group “living room” or can I only add it to the fives or ones?

Hello:  I currently have two Play 1s hooked up in stereo pair using the Sonos S2 app on wifi.  I’m considering purchasing the Sonos Move and I have 3 questions.  Can I add the Move to the same Play 1 group I have in the app? Can I also set it up as a seperate speaker (by itself)?    When at home, I plan on using the Move in a different room in the house than where I have the Play 1 pair.  Can I just leave in on the charger all the time so not to cycle the battery?  When I take it with me away from the house I can just take it off the charging base and using in on bluetooth from the phone. Thanks!Dave in Florida        

On one of my Sonos Outdoor Architectural speakers, the tweeter isnt working from getting wet when I hosed around it, will it work again? It’s been drying out for over 24 hours on a hot day and still the tweeter doesn’t produce any sound.

I’m trying to use the line inputs to output from an electric piano and the delay is unusable. I have it set at 75ms and compressed audioIs there a way around this? 

Hi,  I have got to one sl's, both of them only have sound coming from the tweeters, nothing from the woofer. Any idea what could have happened? Seems odd for it to fail on both...

I recently renovated majority of my house and had a great system set up. This old system included 3-4 play 3s and two bridges to help connect my living room stereo and garage stereo. After downloading the S2 app, I’ve had no trouble connecting a boost and 2 One SLs on the same account, however, I can’t get anything from the old system to connect to the new one. The S1 app no longer picks up the old system either. What am I doing wrong? And advice will be greatly appreciated! 

Sonos voice activation problem.I am tearing my hair out over a recent problem described as follows.I have a very simple system which is a Sonos arc plus subwoofer hooked up to a TV in my lounge, plus a Sonos one in the bedroom. All are approximately 3 years old and I have the Sonos S2 phone app.  These have worked great since new. Everything works perfectly except voice activation.Examples.Alexa play the Beatles.Playing the Beatles from Spotify.But nothing happens.Alexa play radio 123.Playing radio 123 from iHeartRadio.But again nothing happens. If I select the music x the app, it plays ok.I have rebooted the router and all Speakers…… no change.The router is within 1 m of the Arc so connection / speed is very strong. I have reset the Arc by pressing the infinity button and a complete new set up. No change.If I ask Alexa any questions available from the Internet such as weather, time, general knowledge she performs perfectly.I have been all over the Sonos and Alexa apps suspecting the c

As soon as I log in the 25% discount disappears and my basket is updated to include the 15% discount for upgrade instead. Is there any way to swap the discount % or should I just create another account?Is there a downside to ordering from another account?

I upgraded my iphone (13) and Airplay no longer works to connect to Sonos.  Airplay requires a synch using a passcode displayed on Sonos products.  Obviously , since Ones and Amps don't have screens, I cannot connect.  Any solutions out there?   It is a Corporate issued phone and I have read a thread about this being a possible lock down from the corporate IT end.I am using my wife and kids phones now to play music outside the Sonos App as a bad workaround.

Could someone tell me if I can use ROAM as front and/or rear speakers to create a 5.1 system?
