I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 sound bar and a Hisense U6H 55" TV that I got at Christmas. They’re connected with the HDMI cable that came with the Beam via the eArc port on the TV. The sound will randomly cut out while watching… pretty much anything.

It will work most of the time, but sometimes it cuts out when starting the next episode. Sometimes it will cut out randomly in the middle of something.

The worst seems to be streaming shows and movies with Dolby Atmos sound such as Secret Invasion on Disney+.

Most of the time the issue can be fixed by going into the TV settings and changing the output from eArc to TV sound, then back to eArc. But videos with Dolby Atmos are completely unwatchable with the sound bar.

How can I fix this?

If you are only using the TV’s native streaming apps, try disabling the eARC setting on the TV and leave it disabled.
