Hello all,At https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/surround-sound-guidelines-and-limitations there is the statement “related models like One and One SL can be used together as surround speakers” without specifying which exact models are related. From that article, and searching through the forums, it appears to me that the following two sets of models are considered related, that is, you can mix them together for surround: One (Gen 2), One (Gen 1), One SL (rev 1 and 2)(forums seem to suggest Gen 1 and Gen 2 can be mixed, and article says One SL is related) SYMFONISK Floor Lamp, SYMFONISK Table Lamp (Gen 2)(explicitly noted in footnote 2 of the article) SYMFONISK Bookshelf (Gen 1), SYMFONISK Bookshelf (Gen 2)(not sure of this; basing this on forum reports that you can stereo pair them) Not related for surround purposes, despite having the same speaker hardware (basing this on forum reports that you can’t stereo pair them):Play:5 (Gen 2), Five Is this correct? I've been having issues with my Sonos one SL for a few months and decided to plug in an ethernet cable. once I did that the app told me I need to factory reset my speaker. I followed the instructions online and held down the back button. however when I do so the lights only turn flashing orange, not flashing orange and white, and nothing seems to happen. not sure what To do and how to make this work again.

hi what ist the best way to wall mount ERA 300 if you have a high ceiling about 4,50 meters i have to mount them in a height of 2,80 meter so I have about nearly 2 meters to the ceiling in that case would it be better to mount them upside down ? 

I have an amp 2 ft away from my arc, with the amp controlling two rear embedded speakers. I've tried just about everything, including factory resets. If they stay decoupled, they both work. As soon as I try to add the amp as a surround system for the Arc, it fails to connect "Surrounds couldn't be added" and the Amp immediately becomes disconnected in my system.  Both are connected via WiFi; previously the amp was on Ethernet but with the v14 update, surround doesn't work. Thanks in advance for any/all help.

airplay via iphone from my music library constantly fails….it starts and drops, it does not seem to be a router issue, as all other devices work fine...

I have a Sonos Beam and sub connected to my TV ; it works very well . tried adding a pair of SL 1’s but it thinks they are a separate system and I cannot group them with the beam. How do I rectify ?

I've recently upgraded my computer and it now has a new name, but the same data drive which holds my music files.  I'm using Sonos V1.  When I try to play it gives an error that it can't find the music drive on my old computer.  I've tried to change the folder in Sonos, searched the registry for any instances of the old computer name, searched the drives for any file containing the old computer name.  All without success.  Any ideas? 

Hey all, We moved into a home that had 5 sonos ceiling speakers installed but was not connected to an amp. The builders told us we’d have to use our own receiver. We got one, and the 5 channel ceiling speakers work great. I want to add the gen 3 sub/s but am unsure how to tie the sub/s in (or even if its possible). Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Hi, this feels really straightforward but I've been trying over and over and it's driving me crackers.We have a play 1, been fine for years but recently we changed our broadband and it's stopped working.First none of our apps would work even when the speaker was plugged into the ethernet cable, I removed and reinstalled the app and managed to get it working through the ethernet. But I've tried repeatedly to get the WiFi set up on it and it just will not connect.I keep following the 'lets fix this' process but getting nothing.Any ideas?

My new Sonos Roam is experiencing constant drop out when grouped with my sound bar (sonos Ray with 2 sonos one) when watching TV mode,  no problem when listening to music mode.  All speakers are same position when watching movies or listening to music. All speakers and Tv are in the same room as router. it happened from day one since I bought the new  sonos Roam 3 days ago. can anyone suggest any solution. Thks

Hi Community,I have had my One SL speakers for about 6 months, an upgrade from the original One speakers. Last week at about 10:00pm one of the speakers started to emit a very loud high pitched alarm sound. The only way to stop it was to unplug the affected speaker. I rebooted the router (the system is on WiFi) and plugged the speaker back in and after some trouble got the speaker setup again.The system worked with no trouble until Sunday afternoon. It happened again. I have not reconnected it yet.I have checked the channel it's using and that is different from other devices. Most of the devices in the house are hard wired with Ethernet.Any idea what may be causing it? An electrician has said it could be interference from the major construction at the new Metro train service centre being constructed.Any other things to try?

Hello, I have located a TV and Sonos beam in a separate room to the sonos amp and a HDMI matrix that connects to multiple HDMI input sources. These sources are connected to the HDMI matrix and the TV is one of the outputs that connect to the matrix over ethernet connection via the TV's HDMI ARC port.I'm wondering if I can connect the Beam to the Amp via ethernet in one of the Amp ports, connecting the other Amp port to the network. And then use the Amps HDMI port to connect with the Sonos converter to optical audio to connect to the matrix?My objective is to group the Beam and speakers connected to the amp together and have them play sound based on switched devices on the HDMI matrix, without any audio delay between the Beam and speakers.Many thanks for any help you can provide.

ScenarioSonos amp connected to router by wireRouter visible on phoneLine in is bluetooth receiver playing music from phone.Line in is set up and working  when i have internet on App i.e. playing over BTIntetnet goes bye bye (virgin are crap) . Line in drops out.Surely i dont need intetnet to do line in ?   

Hello,i am setting up a patio. My amp is inside the house in a media closet. I understand that if I want to have a sonos soundbar pair with an amp it would need to be in the same general area so this is not possible for me. What I do have is the ability to run any lines I want from the TV to my media closet. I want to use a sonos amp because the rest of the house is Sonos. So I am having trouble figuring out how to have a sound bar, rear speakers and sub connected to the amp and my TV.

Hello.  … Help Out of the blue , a weird problem just started happening… We have 4 speakers that all worked fine…. Today for some reason only 1 will play at a time… and it randomly changes to the other speakers.   My data network is fine all show excellent  signal. I have done the usual router reboot… etc

Hi I have just purchased my system comprising an Arc, sub mini and 2 Era 300’s. I have downloaded the Sonos app to control the system and I was wondering if my wife can also download the app and adjust it also, or is it only 1 person per household who can have the app?Thanks James

Trying to connect S1 device to new Synology. It worked fine on the old Synology. With the new one, I have SMB1 and NTLMv1 enabled. If I try to add the NAS, I can see in the connection log that the proper user is getting logged in. (With wrong password, the log does not go). But the Sonos UI is saying that the connection is being refused with no permission.Thanks for any pointers.
