I have the Samsung TV QE55Q60, on the web site of Samsung the TV can’t play Dolby Atmos but I have HDMI ARC port behind the TV so I wan’t know if I connect the Sonos Arc on the HDMI ARC port with an Apple TV last generation (the one with 128 Gb) on an other port connected with a movie who have Dolby Atmos sound, will my Sonos Arc play Atmos or not ? thanks for your help 

Sorry to be an aged non-techie!  Have a sudden problem with my S1 five zone system - ok with Spotify but when I try to play from my Music Library I get “Unable to play xxxx, Unable to connect to XXXX”; (this being my PC).  When I go into the Library Settings I can’t add or remove any Folders, it just goes back a screen.  The system advises me to check sleep settings (are ok) and and firewall settings (Sonos.exe is allowed in Bitdefender).  My PC can see all my Sonos locations and the external drive that contains my FLAC files.  I don’t want to try anything drastic like uninstall without advice from someone better qualified than me.  Any help please?

Other than pulling the plug, is there a way to power down the Sonos Ray. 

I was getting intermittent static from my Apple TV - Samsung Frame TV - Sonos Arc-Sub-SL Speakers setup, but not when the source was my cable-box. I tried all the various suggestions from this forum to no avail. Then I tried the various streaming apps built into the Frame TV (Netflix, Prime Video, Crave, Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, Plex) and no static/popping sounds. So clearly the Apple TV HD box was the weak link in my setup. So don’t assume that the ARC is the problem. It could very well be some other hardware in your setup. 

The Sonos Roam is constantly dropping from my home PC and iPhone. Yes, it’s set up properly via wifi with the Sonos app. Yes, I follow the instructions on the Sonos site (incl. factory reset). Yes, it’s fully charged. Etc, etc. I even get it to work sometimes (for several consecutive days)...until it doesn’t (dropping randomly with me doing absolutely nothing).I have looked in several Sonos community threads to investigate and a lot of feedback is not helpful (things I already did repeatedly) and usually condescending (the equivalent of “try ctrl-alt-del you dolt”).My gripes -Why does my Roam keep dropping randomly when using Bluetooth (on my phone or PC) - Actually, don’t answer this - I give up. Why does the Roam not have a Bluetooth button if it is intended to be primarily a Bluetooth device (using the on/off button to pair the device is an idiotic design flaw in my view)? Why do I need to link it with my wifi to get it started in any case (few if any other Bluetooth-enabled speaker

Hello,i have 2 sonos era 100 and a playbar. i can pair the two era for stereo music but cannot use them as surround. The system does not recognize them  Does someone know why?many thanks for your help. 

I have 2 large rooms connected with no walls between them. My living room is connected to my Dining Room, in the living room I have 2 Play:1 (front), 2 Ones (Rear) and a Sub which sounds amazing but when I walk into the dining room I can hear the music but not like when I’m in the living room. My question is, to expand sound to the dining room, should I install 2 Sonos Ones and a 2nd Sub or 2 Play:5s and pair them in stereo, which setup will give me the richest sound and not create syncing issues. Thanks. 

So ever since Sonos released update 15.5 our Sonos Arc has had troubles connecting to the Sonos app (cabled and wireless). We have tried all the Steps possible through the Sonos app to try and fix it but no luck. Besides that we also reset all our routers and TP link access points. All our other Sonos products work fine (Move, 2x One SL, 2x One, Sub GEN2 and PlayBar). I’m worried the new update broke or corrupted something in our Arc sound bar and am interested to know if other people have the same issues.Here is a list of things we have triedTried Sonos advanced troubleshooting in the App. Factory reset does not seem to work anymore (no orange lights). Reboot also not working, white light keeps blinking for hours and hours. Wired connection reboot worked once but still Sonos app could not see the Arc as connected and also adding as new speaker did not work. Reset router and access points. Tried network update through the Sonos app.

Hi,I have an Arc, 2 x Era 300’s and 2 x Sub Gen 3’s. Me and my daughter were watching a film at a reasonable volume when all of a sudden the Rear Era 300’s let out a massive loud bang and then loud static. I had to disconnect from the mains to stop it. I have restarted the system and things are playing normally. I thought they were blown at first. I’m in fear to use them as my one year old was pretty close and it hurt my ears. Is this just an isolated issue or has anyone else experienced this? I wonder what happened?? All has been working great until now. 

So, Airplay 2 can definitely handle 16bit 44.1, and S2 speakers can do up to 24bit 48, but during Airplay2 playback Roon’s Signal path thing (see screenshot) always shows the playback as being “High Quality” and not “Lossless” because Roon can’t guarantee what the Airplay2 device is doing on it’s end. Some AP2 devices will always need to convert to 48khz before playing etc. , so that’s understandable.This is not the case with Sonos Streaming, it shows as lossless in Roon signal path, but roon and sonos streaming have not played well together for some time, whereas Airplay 2 has been rock solid.So my question is, does anyone know for fact if The Sonos speaker is ever taking a 16/44.1 Airplay 2 signal and manipulating it (bringing it up to 48Khz etc.)If the answer is that it’s playing 44.1 16 bit with no manipulation, then Airplay 2 is the clear winner over Sonos streaming when it comes to playing off Roon. I recently purchased a new Sonos Amp and would like to drive 2 pair of in wall speakers. Each pair is wired with an impedance matching volume control (Niles VCS100K). 1 speaker pair is 8 ohms, the other pair is 6 ohms.I'm aware that Sonos doesn't recommend pairing this combination of speakers. Reading through the forum I haven’t seen any posts that specifically address the presence of impedance matching controls. Is there any reason this 4 speaker setup wouldn't work if the controllers were configured properly? 

No sooner do i fix this function (by some combination of clearing the Sonos app cache, restarting the phone, and/or deleting and reinstalling the app) than it stops functioning again. Does anyone know the solution? Or if Sonos is in the room, can you please ask your engineers to fix this function? Thank you. 

 Hi, I am having a kitchen refurb done in a couple of months and I'm thinking ahead about a sound system.  Sonos seems like a good solution, but I have no sonos products and could do with some advice please on what to get. The space is fairly large and open plan - see pic.  What I am looking to establish is:-What type of speakers?   Should I consider ceiling speakers? How many? Where would they be positioned? Do I need an amp?Some random info:-Stereo or Surround - I'm not into home cinema and so I reckon a stereo system will do unless surround sound will offer some advantages in filling the space? That said, will it be possible to even create a stereo field in a room of this shape? Perhaps surround is the best option? The system will need to be good enough to support a party so fairly loud! I like house, techno, D&B, bass, chillout, and ambient. Mainly electronic. Maybe ceiling speakers would help, but I thought (maybe incorrectly) that I'd need 6 of these and got very confused wh

After touching the title of a song I see the option to add to playlist.  When I touch this selection, nothing happens.  I don't get an error, nothing happens.

I recently bought Sonos Era 100 and use it as desktop speaker for my desktop. I connect to the speaker using Bluetooth. Since the speaker has a Mic, how do I use that as the default mic for my machine ?

I have disabled automatic update in Sonos but it does still update it self. Why does it not function?

I’ve been streaming to m Sonos 5 for sometime using RadioApp, however over the past few weeks, the streaming has come to a stop. It’s not an issue with the RadioApp, because I can use that on my Iphone without issue. Sometimes I have to try and play it 3 or 4 times before it works. Any ideas on a fix? I’ve also tried another app on Sonos with the same issue. 

Hi allFor the last few months I’ve had a constant issue with playing from my Google Pixel 6 Pro phone to my Roam via bluetooth. I regularly get the audio dropping, just for half a second, often once a track when playing, and I just can’t work out what the issue is. I mostly use MediaMonkey Android app as my main music player, but also often use Spotify and Qobuz and find it happens will all apps (ie I’m pretty sure it’s not a specific app issue). I have tried by resetting the wifi, mobile & Bluetooth settings on the Pixel 6 Pro, but after repairing with the Roam the problem is exactly the same. I’ve also tried shutting the Roam down and restarting it, but even if I get a few tracks play back glitch free the issue re-occurs after a while. Any ideas? It’s really frustrating! I use MediaMonkey on my phone and laptop as it’s the most flexible app to let me manage my local music in a way that no streaming services do, so don’t want to stop using it, and the only way to play from MediaMo

I have two Sonos Connect devices (in different rooms) running S1. Device A is connected by ethernet and B by wifi. RIght now, my router reserves bandwidth both for the Ethernet connection to A and for the Wifi connection to A, along with the wifi to B. (The router recognizes 3 Sonos connections.) The problem is the router partitions bit-speed, and I'm at the limit of what my ISP can do. So I want to make the A connection eithernet only, bringing down the denominator by one in the division of bandwidth. Sonos does have a setting for that, but when I disable wifi to A, mysteriously B disappears from my system. Can anyone help me fix this? 

We have a few play:3 around the house.  We swapped broadband providers and got a new router and network home network.  I reset all the devices and added them to the new network.  Now only some of them appear in the app and the others come and go.  The network does have an extender to boost it out into the garden.  It is all one network name.  any ideas?  

After loading my Roam for more than 24 jours i no longer can start it. It seems completely dead nomatter how i push the start button. what to do?  is there some hidden feature that can ”restart” it?

A specific radio station in TuneIn called “Radio Italia” can't be run by voice, but it play when launched by the app

I have been using a connect amp for the past 8 years on a strong Wi-Fi signal off a Wi-Fi extender as our main router is not in the main living area. A few months ago we upgraded our main router and ever since then we have not been able to see the connect amp.  I have been told that Sonos will not work on a wireless extender …. But it has for the last 8 years.  I have reset it and the app finds it, then won’t connect to it. I cannot connect it directly.  can anyone suggest a solution. 

I’d like to suggest a settings configuration for those that aren’t able to have the speakers facing towards the tv. With my previous home theater setup it was fine to have the surrounds on the sides so I feel it should be doable here. We have a great living room layout but we opted to buy wall mounts instead of stands because we don’t want wires hanging all over the place. So we currently have them mounted on the sides and despite it not being the recommended configuration we still think it sounds great, however I would love to have the trueplay somehow detect which way you have them facing and adjust the channels. Hats off to those that were able to have them mounted the recommended way but I can guarantee I’m not the only one in this predicament so some kind of solution would be a great way to make sure all customers are getting the best sound experience possible. 

Hi, I’m still confused after a fair bit of research I’ve done. I own a 1970s Yamaha turntable with a Pioneer amplifier. I own a Sonos Beam and keen to expand my sonos family with either a punchier speaker or adding a Sub. Attached is a pic of my vintage amp so you can see all the complicated wires (yes i’m not very savvy with this stuff). So basically can I get a recommendation with what setup I should go for to get the best quality sound. I was thinking either the Port, Amp or Sonos five? Please help !
