My sonos move wont recharge after battery depletion 

I have an Arc, Gen3 Sub and 2 Era300s.  I sit about 10’-12’ from the screen, almost against a back wall.  The two 300s sit about 1’ from the back of my head, off to the sides and about 5’ from me.  Can you tell me in which direction the 300s should be facing?

Do the screw holes on the Arc mount match-up with the screw holes in the Playbar mount? Can you mount the Arc in the same location as a previously mounted Playbar without having to drill any new holes in the wall?

Every app I have tried to play podcasts from through Sonos Immediately goes back to 1x speed once connected to my Sonos speakers. I don’t want to have to return my Sonos if I don’t have to, Is there any solution for this? I am currently using my $2k+ sound system only half the time because I can’t listen to podcasts or Audible at faster than 1x speed. This is not just a nice to have feature, but something one would assume the system can do before buying. 

I have installed the Sonos S2 app and connected my Amp, that works fine. But then I try to connect my Play 5, and I’m told I need to use the S1 app.So I download the S1 app, and run factory reset on the Play 5. The app (S1) now detects the Play 5, but tells me both systems (Play 5 and Amp) can  be controlled by the S2 app, but it needs an update..Next I open the S2 app, and try to add the Play 5, and I’m told the Play 5 can only be controlled by the S1 app.This seems like a “catch 22” situation. I need to update the Play 5 to connect to one of the apps, but I can’t connect before I’ve updated it. Any advice? 

Please add local music libraries to the new search.And please commit to keeping the ability to listen to our own music libraries in future.Like many other Sonos users, I have a lot of music which is not available on any streaming service. I want to be able to keep listening to it.(Right now, both new search and classic search are functionally ‘broken’ for me. New search doesn’t include my music library and classic search no longer includes Spotify. What I like about Sonos is the ability to use both - and now I can’t.)

Hey,  I have found all Music Services have disappeared overnight, apart from Last.FM.  Search is blank, too.  I tried to connect to the Spotify App on my phone but the device will not. I have followed the online support guidance including resetting app etc., but nothing.  Has anyone else seen this? 

Hi all - I am listening to a music service on a laptop that Sonos does not support directly. The laptop is sitting next to an ERA100. I can Bluetooth or Line-In connect the laptop to the ERA and link with the rest of the speakers in my Sonos world no problem. My question is, given the laptop’s location, is one way to connect better than another? Sound quality, native sonos app capabilities of one over the other? TP

Hello,I want to replace existing in-celling speaker by Sonos Sonance Architectural. Except the power, do I need to bring any wires to the Sonos Amp or can they work with Sonos Sonance Architectural wireless? I see on the Amp that there’s 2 connectors; are they essentials?Thanks!

What tagging/configuration is required to get Compilation Albums to display the artist in the tracklist?Controller version iPhone current as of Aug-17-2023Already tried numerous adding/removing/alternate tags:Currently using previous suggestions:ALBUMARTIST=VariousCompilation=1 or yesremoved Album Artistwith and removed Discwith and removed TrackPlenty of 9 year old articles and KBs that simply do not work.Also, is this issue a per device (mine is iPhone), per file format (FLAC and MP3), per library server (plain old SMB NAS) issue ? Huge fan of my Play 5’s but the S1 and S2 software is (let’s face it) not great. 

The system information on the Sonos app for my Sonos Connect amp saids Sonos OS: S1Does that tell me the amp is generation one? If not how can I find what generation it is? Thanks 

I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and LG OLED A2 TV after reading incredible reviews for both. However when I try to connect the tv to the beam via HDMI, I get the message on Sonos app (the tv speakers are not connected). I’ve tried resetting both devices, switching HDMI cords and ports and all the e settings I can think of on my LG TV. The Beam works when I play music from my phone but nothing from the TV, I cannot seem to connect them. Please help!! 

I Would love to use my 2 x Subs (Paired) with my 2 x Fives (paired)for a wide base. Trueplay on that, and would be wonderful.The use of dual Subs should be unlocked!

I am setting up a new media room with three Tv’s and am looking for the best way to set up one ARC bar and surround system that can switch to the 3 Tvs.Any suggestions on the best way to do this? All tv’s will be brand new and the same tv, either LG or Samsung OLED.

I have 2 play 5 (gen1) speakers and 2 symonfisk speakers and a Beam Gen1.Following a network glitch i have reinstalled all devices.However the beam will only connect using an ethernet cable direct to router, although during setup it is asking for wifi details and when i enter them it appears to finish setup although no messages appear to say its ok.as soon as i disconnect the ethernet cable the beam does not appear in app.Any help gratefully received

I am actually looking for sales advice, or a recommendation. I am trying to determine the best setup for my back patio. In my living room I have an ARC + a sub and a pair of One SL’s for surround.  I also have another room set with a port for my LP & CD’s. I also have a Roam that is a weak fix for my outdoor or garage use now..We recently installed a new patio with covered area for an outdoor living and dining area. Winters can be unpredictable in Boise, so I have not decided if I should install an amp with outdoor speakers or go with a Move - however I am buying a TV cart so I can watch sports outside until the weather gets gnarly, and then wheel it inside.  Which would bring something like a Ray + sub mini as a possibility. I do not need super loud outdoors, just efficient sound that is mostly used for music, but also able to connect to the second TV. I am trying to determine what will best suit my needs and am looking for recommendations for the best direction. I have not been able to get Dolby Atmos to come from any apps on my tv through to my Sonos Arc.  The Arc is hooked up to the tv via eArc.  The TV is a  Samsung QN55S95BAFXZA Class S95B OLED 4K Smart Tizen TV.  My digital output is auto as when I try to select passthrough it says “The current audio format input cannot be passed through with an ARC connection.  The best I can get is Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby Multichannel PCM.  Not sure if there are settings in YouTube or other apps on the TV that I am missing.  Thanks for any help on this!

This is the same as a closed topic, but I am having the same issue, and the solution on the original topic, that of enabling SMB1 on the NAS, is not working for me. I can connect to the share using windows (once I login using the username/password I have created specifically for that share), but Sonos is still reporting an error. It no longer reports the same error it did before I enabled SMB1 - but still an error and still making it impossible for me to use my new DS220+ for Sonos:I am running DSM 7.1-42661 Update 4, and Sonos is the older S1 setup. The not horribly informative error from Sonos is this: Sonos was unable to add the music folderPlease check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed, are correct.Reason: Access to the shared folder “\\nasnew\music\_MusicFiles” is denied. Anyone got any thoughts? It’s kinda ironic that I had to upgrade from my old DS508 because Windows deprecated SMBv1 so couldn’t access the DS508 on its not upgradable old versio

My Sonos One SL Suddenly stop and didn't turn on but after tapping several times it turned on started playing. My question is why does this happen and what to do next? i expect answer from technical team of Sonos.Thank you

I have 2 Sonos One units. I can set them up and they will connect. The next day neither will show up as connected and I will have to reconnect. No power outages. No changes in router settings.  Any suggestions?

Roam is permanently plugged in so always shows 100% batt. As soon as I unplug it and try to use it in another room it dies within 5 mins . . . Useless piece of kit . .
