I have purchased a Project T1 BT deck and assumed it would connect via Bluetooth to my Sonos Beam and Sub wirelessly. The Bluetooth switch is on but it won’t connect. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong or if I need a preamp?
Thanks, Luke

The Beam isn’t Bluetooth compatible. The only Sonos speakers compatible with Bluetooth are the Era 300, Era 100, Move, Roam, and Roam SL.
You can also connect the turntable to a Sonos device with line-in like the Port, Five, Era 300, or Era 100. Read more here.
FYI… your model turntable has a built-in phono preamp.
Thank you. So in short i won’t be able to play it on the Beam at all and will need a different set up?

If you want to play turntable audio to the Beam, you need to add one of the Bluetooth compatible speakers listed above (except the Move) and share the Bluetooth audio to the Beam/Sub setup. But the best option is adding a Sonos device with line-in like the Port, Five, Era 300, or Era 100. Connecting the turntable to any of these devices will allow you to play the turntable audio to the Beam.
For a lounge set up where we have a beam and the large sub, would 2 x era 100s be the best bet? What would you opt for if you were me? Thanks
If you also want the Era’s to be surrounds, no. Bluetooth is turned off when speakers are used as surrounds.
If we went for the era 100s and connected the deck via Bluetooth, can we then daisy chain the beam and sub to them?
thanks

Yes, you can share the Bluetooth audio from the Era 100s to the Beam. Read more here:

Great, thanks!
Ok so I’ve purchased the Sonos era 100s and they won’t connect via Bluetooth to my project t1 bt- in fact nothing happens when I press the Bluetooth pairing button. I’ve since added a phono lead to the Sonos adaptor for a wired connection to the one speaker thinking that may start the daisy chain of connectivity but still not audio output. What the heck am I doing wrong? TIA
I’ve sorted it it - thanks for those who have offered advice x
If you are connecting the turntable directly to the Era 100, make sure you are using the Sonos Line-In Adapter and use the Line OUT output, not the Phono OUT, on the turntable.
For Bluetooth pairing, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the back of the Era 100 until you hear a chime and the front LED light flashes blue. Place the Era 100 right next to the turntable. Power off the turntable and power it back on. Then switch the Bluetooth switch on the turntable off and then on again. When they are successfully paired, you will hear a chime and the LED on the Era 100 will turn solid blue.
Thank you
