Hi, My Sonos black Sub has died - after opening up the unit, taking out the pcb board and inspecting and testing components, the responsible pcb board component that has failed has been located. Is there someone who has disassembled their sub before, please share the details and/or a clear photo of the component labelled as R 37 on the Main PCB board please so I can source a replacement.  Thanks in advance Sonos Community crew. Lenny K 

Last weekend, my Roam, which was about a year old, didn’t power on. Then, a few days later, my Playbar wouldn’t power on. The devices are on the same network, but they’re in completely different parts of the house, plugged into different power outlets, but it just seems like a very strange coincidence and makes me wonder if there’s malware or some other issue on the network. Or...it could just be coincidence.(FWIW, Sonos replaced the Roam already and the new one is working fine so far. They Playbar is out of warranty, but Sonos is trying to make it a little less expensive for me to replace.)

Problem connecting sonos products to wifi..can someone please help 

I have successfully connected my Sonos One and Bean Gen2 to my Wifi on 2.4GHz. My mobile phone is connected to the same network wifi on 5GHz. In Sonos app, it shows “Sonos and your mobile device must be on the same network”. Actually they are one the same network but connected by different frequency channel. When I switch my phone to 2.4GHz, Sonos can be found without issue.I tried to connect my Sonos to 5GHz Wifi, and it couldn’t connect. I need my phone connect to 5GHz Wifi for faster connection. Can anyone help? Not sure if Sonos only identifies network by Wifi SSID.And can anyone help to confirm if my products (Sonos One & Bean Gen2) can connect to 5GHz?

Hello,The back left side of my sonos arc is heating up (if I look at it from the front, it's the left side). The heating is not so strong that I have to catch my hand when I touch it, but it's still quite noticeable. Is this a natural phenomenon for a sonos arc or should I not notice any noticeable heating and there is something wrong with the device?(The casing of the device heats up even during normal and quiet use, the temperature in the apartment is 24 degrees Celsius.)

According to the supported audio formats it should be possible to add AAC files to the Music Library.I’ve added a directory containing AAC files, but they don’t show up in the music library.so far I’ve tried:different kinds of folders (network shares, NAS, Music folder in Documents) added metainformation to the AAC file using Mp3tag downloaded various AAC sample files for testingWhen I add a mp3 file it will show up, but no AAC I’ve found similar topics while searching for a solution, but none with a solution. So, is somebody able to select AAC files from their music Library ?Is Sonos supporting AAC files in their music library, at all ?

I have no idea what Sonos is. But for the last year or so, I’ve been dealing with someone somehow having access to my Spotify through an app called Sonos. I have never sign up my Spotify on any of it. Im the only person who has access to my Spotify account.  When I speak to costumer service for Spotify, they were never able to solve my issue. I have changed passwords and logged out of all devices multiple times. Still, someone is able to invade my Spotify through the Sonos app and create a device named “Family Room”. None of my neighbors have families around me. I have never given my wifi password to strangers, only 3 people know it and none of them know what Sonos is. Regardless, I still changed my wifi passwords as well.  It got to a point that whenever I saw someone listening my Spotify through Sonos, I’d just take over the speaker and play Metallica, heavy metal and weird noises as loud as possible. …would send Alexa response audio out through the Five - true or false?!I’ve googled this a bit and can see people suggest that it should, but I’ve just tried and hear nothing from the Five. Is this possible or have I misunderstood?If it is possible, aside from trying a different cable (that I know to have been working about a month ago) what troubleshooting steps can I take?

Hello!  So I'm having issues with sound lately. Seems like anytime I'm watching a movie the sound is not balanced. When I play YouTube/Spotify sound seems to work fine, but movie apps Netflix/Prime/Vudu/HBO Max require me to blast the volume up and the speech is so damn quiet.   Currently watching Indiana Jones on VUDU and the talking is incredibly quiet while the action/music is insanely loud.  Sony Bravia 65"  TV Sound settings have been disabled and routed to just sound bar settings.  In the Sonos app I have applied the speech enhancement and night time modes on/off and tried changing treble/bass to adjust and I can't get anything to balance out. Also lately I have to turn my TV volume up to 70/80 before I can hear clearly and before it was around 15-20 and we could hear perfectly.  Running on HDMI eARC into television.  Feels like I have to just reset everything, but haven't found a clear guide or suggestion that.  Thank you for your assistance! 

Hi peeps, does anyone know if the current Arc wall mount that Sonos sells is suitable for an earlier model Play Bar??

Title. Just wondering if adding two more 100’s or 300’s would make any difference or just a waste of money. And before anyone asks I do plan on adding a 2nd sub to complete my movie theatre 

I added two One SL for surround speaker and one beam gen2 in room as a group. When I play YouTube on TV which is LG C2, the surround speaker has no sound, how can I set them play together?

So I had an issue with the search functionality of Spotify inside the Sonos app, got annoyed, removed the service and wanted to re-add the service, and now I’m met with (500) Sorry we are unable to set up your Spotify account at this time. I’ve tried revoking the access from the spotify app, I’ve tried uninstalling the spotify app to force the sonos auth through the web, I’ve tried installing the desktop app to add the services through that.I’ve even tried powercycling the entire system.Nothing works, I’m so close to pulling the crap out and toss it in the trash, basically useless to me without Spotify.Has anyone got any ideas of what I could do ?

I have an Arc as front TV speakers and I use an Amp with 2 passive speakers as satellites. I would also like to be able to use the Amp independently to listen to music when I am not watching TV.However the Amp disappears from the list of available speakers as soon as I add it as a satellite to the Arc. I then have to manually remove the Amp from the Arc to be able to use is independently again.Autoplay ungroup is turned on, but does nothing.Is there a way to have the Amp support both setups (satellites / music) alternatively without having to change the configuration every time?

Is there any update on the support for Alexa multiroom music (MRM) support on Sonos? I just purchased a Sonos Beam with the understanding that it supported Alexa groups. I learned after setting it up, that while it can be added to an Alexa group, it can’t be added to a speaker group with Echo devices. I understand that Amazon released the software to implement multiroom music support in 2018 (link below) and that at least the Polk Command Bar supports this functionality. Is there any possibility that Sonos will add this capability to the Beam? I am considering getting a Era 100 to connect to my computer via the new USB-C Line-In. Before anyone jumps on me that it’s not its intended use, they actually mention it on the Era 100 product page it says: Line InUnlock new listening possibilitiesConnect a turntable, computer, or other audio source using an auxiliary cable and the Sonos Line-In Adapter. I understand the required sync delay when grouping rooms or wireless stereo pairs, but I’m hoping it’s less than 75ms for a single Line-In device with the new Era’s. I know most Sonos speakers there is a minimum 75ms delay introduced.  My question is, if you have a single Era 100 (not a wireless stereo pair, not grouped with any other rooms) connected via Line-In to a computer (or TV, or turntable) will you still get the 75ms delay, or is it lower?  Anyone with a single Era tested?  Since computer and turntable are being advertised as a feature of the Line-In and I know the delay was a discussed issue in the past using Sonos speakers

I currently have my Fives paired (L & R ) in vertical orientation but would like to flip one to the horizontal to better fit a shelf.  Any concerns about having them in different orientations?  Yes, I should just try it, but I don’t want to start moving stuff around if it’s a bad idea.  TIA

can you have one move on wifi and another on Bluetooth 

So i cant use the old sonos app at all as it just tells me to download the new one, which i did, however my sonos is found but when i update my account it just stays on the page!!  

HiAfter I finish playing one of my playlists in the sonos app, whether I pause it or clear the play list it continues to play, I can't hear it but the time line on the track is active and it doesn't matter how many times I clear the playlist it just regenerates and starts againRegardsAndy

Hi All, Tried to update the Era100 that i recently purchased.I get an Error 30 just seconds before finishing upI also tried to reset the speaker, but again, i get the same error during the setup processThe update was attempted from an iphone 14 and from a laptop as well My Sonos setup includes1 playbar,1 arc,2 sonos 11 play 31 play 51 sonos 51 roam1 ray My network setup is a Ubiquiti setup with UDM pro SE,3 access points all previous setups/updates with the rest of the equipment were successful so far Any ideas on how to update it successfully?

HelloLast week I received a brand new subwoofer gen3. I noticed though that on the right driver there is an approximately 0.5” excessive glue between the cone and the suspension. Looks like stitches or leakage from the attachment procedure. Is that an imperfection that can compromise the sound quality now or in the future?Thanks 

I’m wiring 5 Amps into a new construction home that does not currently have wifi, but the amp will be hardwired to the speakers. Can I set-up the Amp via bluetooth, or do I need to have wifi? In a pinch I can connect to an iphone hotspot.
