I am having the "popping sound" issue while playing playstation 5.

I connected the Sonos Arc to the HDMI2 of the LG TV (eARC) while the Philips Hue Box to the HDMI1 input.

On the Philips Hue Box I connected the PS5 to the HDMI2 input.

my TV settings

Audio Output: HDMI Arc
DTV Sound Setting: Auto
HDMI audio input format: bitstream
Digital Audio Output: Pass Through
eARC: ON
Simplink (HDMI-CEC): Disabled

my ps5 settings

Device Type: AV Amplifier
Number of channels: 5.1
Audio format (priority): Linear PCM

Can someone explain to me why I keep getting the popping sound? Thank you!

Do you still experience the popping sound if you enable Simplink and set the number of channels on the PS5 to 7.1?

I have not tried tbh

just tried it and the problem persists

I found the solution to my problem.

The philips hue sync, even though I disabled the CEC, still caused the popping sound.

I applied a NO CEC LESS adapter and definitively solved the problem.

I hope it can be useful to someone!

did you put the adapter on the hdmi cable connected from the TV to the sync box? one way is enough?
