Hi, so I quite often watch the sport on the TV with no sound, and listen to music instead on the Arc, (connected to the same TV), so no TV sound.However, I use a Sky mini box, which is very temperamental and quite often loses signal and cuts out.  Every time the sky box loses its signal and then reconnects itself, it cuts the music off of the Arc and plays the tv sound by default.  So I am forever restarting the music.Is there a way to stop the TV from cutting off the music every time ? and giving the music that is playing priority ?Thanks.

So my company uses Sonos in the office, we started with 2 Sonos One’s, they worked fine together once we synced them together. The issue came about two weeks ago when we got the Beam, amazing speaker..when you only want to listen on that. The whole system won’t play music on all three, that includes having them all on ethernet, all on wifi, factory resetting, nothing has worked. I thought it was a Gen 1 vs Gen 2 issue with the old Sonos Ones and the new Beam, so we ordered 2 Era 100’s to even try syncing with just the beam. Still to no avail, only two speakers will play at a time. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m having trouble linking the Sonos App with Alexa can’t set up voice control any help much appreciated 

I have a number of Stations from SiriusXM and TuneIn bookmarked in My Sonos on the iPhone S2 app. Occasionally I will choose Station ‘X’, say, and Station ‘Y’ starts playing instead. Station ‘Y’ is always the one most recently listened-to, although it is never currently active when the problem occurs. If I repeatedly try to choose Station ‘X’, it eventually does load after a couple of tries.Has anyone else seen this behavior, and if so, is it a feature or a bug?

I have been advised to change the Sonos net channel via the S2 app to 6 but it is greyed out and therefore not possible. Due to this I connected the sub to the router with an ethernet cable but it made no difference. The channel is currently set to 1 but it was showing as 11 yesterday which suggests it has changed ( it has not been misread). Any suggestions as to how to remedy this would be appreciated. 

Hello Everyone, I am new to the Sonos family, having just purchased a house with a built-in Sonos system (amp + 5 ceiling speakers throughout the house). We also purchased a Sonos Arc and Beam 2. I have the system up and running, meaning that I can listen to music. However, I am having trouble identifying and isolating the built-in ceiling speakers by room. When I try to identify the architectural speakers using the S2 App, I hear the high pitched sound coming from the speaker, but then the App says that "No Sonos Architectural speakers detected". What am I doing wrong here? I have tried the older App (S1), but it says that all of my components are up-to-date and compatible with the new App. Surely, I am missing something. I just want to be able to control the volume by room (we have one in a bathroom, and it is super loud because I can't control it individually). I should note that I can isolate the Sonos Arc, Beam 2 and the main system Amp, so I can control those individually, just n

Installed a sub mini yesterday with a beam gen 2 and one sl as surrounds. When I turn off the sub I get MORE bass. Is this the intended result? I can get the same result by doing minus 6 on the beams bass setting. I have to put the mini to +10 to notice a difference. Tried it in multiple locations (in a corner, next to the tv cabinet, in front of the cabinet) might be a null zone issue, since on the left at the dinner table the bass is significantly improved, but that’s not the listening area. Somehow I can’t get a proper position for the listening area. Edit: counterintuitively I’ve placed the sub mini on the right side of the tv (its against a corner) and just in front of the cabinet and the corner wall. It seems to do a LOT more now, even a bit too much honestly. But when places back in the left side it does nothing. Testing with Limit of your love from James Blake

Why when I watch uhd sport/films through sky q is there no sound coming through the arc

I have two rooms with Sonos play bar+2 Play 1 and one sub. One room Sub disconnects after short period time and I get ?. Other room all is perfect.I factory reset sub unlimited times with same result. I factory reset all four units and regrouped them and setup surround group all working and after less then an hour I get ? instead of sub in S2 app. 

I use Sonos Beam as soundbar for samsung smart TV. I also listen to music services via wifi. All (wifi) channels work fine, but TV audio has stopped functioning even though the TV icon shows up on my phone app just as it always has. All attempts to reconnect with TV have failed. Again, only wifi works. Direct hdmi connection between TV and Beam does not. Message says “hdmi arc not connected.” Ideas or suggestions appreciated. Just know I am not a sophisticated technician when you reply. Thanks. 

Title.just purchased a Hisense Short throw projector with a 120” screen, and I bought the Sonos Ultimate system (Arc/sub/era 300x2) to go with it, just wondering if I made a mistake, wanting to make sure they are compatible. I was told yes by Bestbuy, but seems after reading some things online there may be issues, just wondering if anyone has any tips and or insight to help me out

Hi all, I have g3 sub, g2 beam, 2 x g2 amps & 4 x ceiling speakers. Initially I had hoped to use all together then realised the soundbar was a issue with the 2 front ceiling speakers, I had then hoped to use the beam, sub and rear ceiling speakers as a set up on 1 amp for tv etc for 5.1 then turn on the 2nd amp with 2 front ceiling speakers connected to it to play music all together, however this does not sound good listening to music, likely because of the soundbar I assume. Also the rear ceiling speakers set up as rear surround and on max volume etc are hardly noticeable. Any way around this? Do I scrap the sonos and go conventional amp with center speaker etc to control ceiling speakers for 5.1 and music stereo or other option I thought possibly have all 4 ceiling speakers on 1 amp just for music, then sub, beam and 2 further sonos for rear speakers behind sofa, the only problem I see with this though is the sub would only work with 1 amp or the other amp whereas I would like it

 Hi, Is it possible to use the new SONOS Era 100 or Era 300 speakers as audio output for a Mac, using only a direct USB-C to USB-C cable, without the SONOS audio adapter, selecting the necessary audio output in System Settings.Should this work? 

Has anyone got Sonos working with Optus broadband? I have just switched and they appear to be incompatible.

Hope you are well folks!I am trying to understand the guildelines from Sonos on placement  (specifically how high on the wall to mount them.  In the guide is states;Era 300 should be placed indoors and have approximately two ft (.61 m) of overhead clearance for optimal sound quality. Is this stating two ft (0.61m) is the optimum height as that is how it reads to me?  In my experience I would have thought the ideal placement would be closer to ear level?

I’m trying to create a studio pair between Play:five gen 2 and a Sonos five. When I select either speaker and then select create studio pair none of my Sonos speakers show up as an option for pairing. I also have a Move, a Play: three and a Sonos one. None of these show up for pairing when I select any of them to set up a studio pair yet they are all on the same Wi-Fi net work.  Any ideas? All are operated through the Sonos 2 app.  

I have a Beam Gen2 and 2 One SL speakers setup as a surround. The problem is, I can’t hear the satellite speakers unless I am, literally, 2 inches in front of them, and then barely. I know about “push the button on the One speaker in increase the volume” but that increases the total volume, not just the speaker. I am attached to the TV using the HDMI cable.

Am I able to pair the Arc, Move, and roam together as one to play TV or music together? Whenever I try to select them as a group I get a “unable to save group” message. 

I’m hearing a crackling static sound periodically coming from my Arc and two surround sound Ones when nothing is playing through the speakers. For instance, if the TV is paused and/or music is paused. Anyone know where I should look to determine cause of this crackling? Diagnostics 1396450043

I had not experienced this issue until very recently, but it seems to affect songs originally encoded as SACD or other high fidelity codec. However, I have made sure to encode all my music as ALAC, which should not be a problem. Does the original encoded still affect Sonia playability? Any suggestions?

To my delight i have been able to play my cds through an era 100 using the sojos line in adaptor and two rca plus into the aux out jacks on my cd player. So far so good. My denon dp 200 turntable previously played by connecting to the aux in jacks on the cd (denon m35) and then through the passive speakers. But now the old denon speakers have gone i'd hoped the turntable would also play through era, again using aux in for turntable and aux out to connect w era. However this does not work (tho i am told dp200 has built in pre amp). There seems no other way to connect dp200 to era's line in.  I am outof my depth and maybe not mqking sense. But of course grateful for any suggestions...

if I have 5 play 1’s no voice activation can i purchase 1 voice activated Play 1 to control the 5?

Hi It seems that I can't play music I downloaded on my phone... Is it normal ? It's really annoying. I don't even have the button to search through my phone's memory
