Sonos PLAYBAR - Control volume using TV remote control

How can I configure my Sonos PLAYBAR to be controlled using my TV remote control (Sony Bravia)?

I don’t have any other Sonos products, nor do I want to have to use a different device (i.e., Sonos app on my phone) to change the volume of my TV. 

My Sonos PLAYBAR is not currently connected to my Wifi network. Does it need to be in order to use my TV remote to control the volume.

Make sure the BRAVIA remote is set to be IR only (which the PLAYBAR can read)

Hi

Follow the link below and review the first two articles….one of them should resolve your issue/answer your question. If not we’ll have t get more information from you. BTW...after the initial setup a Wi-Fi connection (though recommended) is not required. You’ll still be able to listen to TV audio via your Playbar but you’ll not be able to control the Playbar volume via your phone, tablet or computer nor receive updates.
