hello everyone,I am looking for help to setup my turn table.Currently, my Sonos setup is mainly for Home Theatre. It is a 5.1 setup comprised with Arc, Sub, Amp driving the 2 passive rear ceiling speakers.I have an old Pro-Ject turn table with a Pro-Ject pre-amp that I would like to incorporate in the Sonos ecosystem.Since my Amp is already setup to the 2 passive rears, I cannot use it for the turn table. So I think I need to look for a Sonos speaker that has line-in capability to drive the turn table with its build-in amp and allows me to include the turn table to my Sonos setup. Am I thinking this right?Prefer result would be a Sonos product compatible to the S2 app and allows the turn table to play across all my Sonos products.Thank you for any advice.Eric

I play my daughter a baby sleep spotify playlist through the Sonos at night. And if I try to listen to a podcast on my phone the sonos will stop playing. I have a spotify family plan. Does anyone have a solution for this? Do I need to reach out to Spotify instead? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi all, I had a beam gen 1 that i was trying to use on the TV that came with my apartment. I had it with surrounds and i was trying to get it to play 5.1 audio to no avail. When i looked online it said to check on the tvs settings what audio format it would come out as but there is no option for this. For reference it’s a techwood tv i searched the model number online and there was no info about it at all. The beam was connected via hdmi arc. I sold the beam gen 1 as in the end i had to use a different tv with it to work in surround sound but now i need that other tv back and i was wanting to try and get a gen 2 beam or arc. I was wondering is there any point in me buying a gen 2 if i can’t get surround sound to work on the tv or if anyone know how to get it to work. Edit: I have an apple tv connected to the tv as well and i was wondering if there was a way that i can connect it just to that with an adapter of some sort? i just want to be able to get surround sound via the techwood tv.

It seems a recent update has impacted the touch control functionality. It used to be that disabling touch controls would only impact the functionality that reacts to touch. Recently, however, when touch controls are disabled, you can no longer switch between Bluetooth and WIFI functionality. Is anyone else having this issue?

I can logon to the SONOS website but the SONOS App gives me and invalid email or password.I reset my password several time but it does not work on the App only on the website.

3 hours with Sonos tech support Daily reboot of router, daily unplug and power up all six Sonos speakers  Daily reinstall of Sonos app  Total hours per week dealing with Sonos  connectivity issues - 12 I’m about to sell off the whole system on Craigslist and go back to wired speakers. Too much of my time being spent with Sonos connectivity issues. System - 5 Sonos One speakers and one Sonos Roam. In an apartment building in NYC with 300 other apartments. Spectrum wifi. I’ve configured and reconfigured the modem. I’ve rebooted, restarted, factory resetted, deleted, reinstalled and all to no avail. The only way to make it work - 1. Unplug all speakers, uninstall and reinstall app, reboot router and then do it again later in the day when the system falls apart again. Anyone want to buy six Sonos speakers?

Hello Everyone, Even though i would have loved it I cannot install an Arc or Beam on my wall at the moment. So i am looking to get a Sonos Amp connected to my Samsung One Box. would it work so i get TV sound from the Sonos Speaker Latency ? Tidal Connect integrated with my Sonos Move generation 1 with only acceptable glitches for a long time. The last couple of weeks, however, when I select playback in Tidal Connect to the Move, the music plays out of the iOS devices speakers... no music from the Move. Yet integration with my Sonos Connect still works as it always has. But when both the Connect and the Move are zoned together, the problem again occurs: music only outputs through the iOS device.I am trying to figure out if the problem is on the Sonos end or Tidal end. Peculiar that the Connect is fine while the Move is not. The Connect is hardwired to the network while, obviously, the Move is on Wi-Fi.I pray someone has any advice.

Hi. I have my livingroom set up as a  Sonos TV Surround system (inc Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini, and 2 Era 100s). But I also have several Amazon Echo devices dotted around my home, and use Alexa as my main “smart speaker” voice controller.I have created a Group, and I can add my “Livingroom” to the group, but no matter what I do I cannot actually get it to play anything on the Sonos system when I say (for example) “Alexa, play Xxx on the Everywhere Group.

When I have my Era 100 connected to my TV and I shut it off for the night, the Era 100 continues to make the chirping noise like it is trying to connect via bluetooth. It effectively does this until I unplug it. What am I missing here?

How do I change back to TV from music with the Sonos app?

The Sonos Android app on my phone and Windows desktop app can only see about 20% of my entire YouTube Music library and I’m not sure why. This hasn’t always been an issue, and I would really appreciate some help with this.Context:When I first bought into the Sonos network, I purchased a pair of One SLs and began playing music through my personal library on my phone. I primarily listen to music with downloaded files through the default Samsung media app, and at the time the Sonos Android app could see these files as well. Everything worked great for a few years and I got a Play:5 (Gen 2) speaker during that time to add to my system as well.Earlier this year, there was a notice from Sonos saying that the app could no longer read downloaded files on Android phones, but provided solutions to work around this. I was irritated at first, since I’d grown so used to how I was using my speakers, but the workaround I chose was through YouTube Music. Uploading music to YouTube was one of the sugge

I’m trying to hook up my era 100s to my Playbar I cannot connect them they are listed as being in the same room does that mean I cannot group them or connect them I do not want to use them as surrounds. I want them to play full stereo front

Hi, two questions.Do I have to buy the amplifier to run outdoor speakers, or will they connect to my Sonos app via WIFI like my other speakers? Can I control their volume separately to my other SONOS speakers? Ie I might want outside speakers to be louder or quieter than the inside speakers based on ambient noise and time of day….

HelloI’m a bit puzzled by an issue which started just few days ago (can’t pinpoint exactly when).I’ve been using Sonos Voice Control since it’s been released on a Sonos Roam and Sonos One to stream from my Apple Music, and it’s been working perfectly fine. Then suddenly, when requesting a specific song, I started to see error in the app “Unable to play song xxx, file not encoded correctly”, and nothing plays. The song is recognised and added properly to the queue, but can’t play. Pressing play button in the app at that stage gives the same error. If I then try to search the same song through the app and play it, it works perfectly fine. So it’s really just when finding the song through voice assistant that it doesn’t work.If there’s nothing in the queue to start with and I just say “Hey Sonos, play music” (so nothing specific), it starts playing from my “station” and it works well… I tried to remove Sonos Voice Assistant and re-add it, I tried to remove Apple Music and re-add it, I tried

Is there any documentation?  I’m pushing the 65K track limit (65705).  All my tracks are in one foloder on a nas organised by artist and album name. I am using MediaMonkey 5.  Does the library indexing start at A and index the files up to Z?  I can see artists from the start and end of my collection. Also I ran the update on my PC and it came up with a message suggesting I remove some playlists.  Are the files in playlists included in the 65K limit?  I am tempted to move all my christmas tunes into a separate folder and just add that at christmas.  Also I have a punk album with 100 tracks.  That is probably wasting 8 normal albums worth of space.

I’m a little frustrated by the Sonos experience. Perhaps I am a relic of the past, but I’m not a streaming music customer, per se. Yes, I occasionally stream music from a service, but I most often listen to music from my own vast library via PlexAmp.I will launch PlexAmp, connect to a Sonos speaker/group and initiate play from PlexAmp. I might start adding songs to the queue, rate a song, etc. What is frustrating is that, at some point soon after initiating play, (maybe when my phone goes to sleep?) it is clear that PlexAmp is no longer playing and any changes to the queue, etc. are not reflected in what is continuing to play from Sonos. I have to launch the Sonos app to further control my music, but with the limited functionality that the Sonos/Plex relationship offers. Is there any way to prevent this happening? I’d like to use PlexAmp to maintain control of my music playback/queue/rating of music. If this cannot be maintained, could there be more functionality added to the Sonos app

I understand that the Era 300 is not compatible with SonosNet but what is not clear to me is if I have them set as surrounds with an ethernet connected Sonos Arc do they use SonosNet to connect to the Arc or some other wireless connection with the Arc? If it’s SonosNet does that mean I can’t have the Arc connected to Ethernet if I’m using the Era 300 as surrounds?

Given the frequent complaints from Sonos community about Sonos Move Battery life, question is : “Will Sonos move 2 battery be compatible with original Sonos move?”

I would like to add speakers to a gazebo.  If i put the amp in the house and run speaker wire to the gazebo (we have an unused conduit already in place), it will be at least 150 feet of speaker wire, probably closer to 200.  Obviously, I’m concerned about power loss over that length of run.  So, I’m wondering about two other options:Put a connect in the house and run RCA, digital coax, or toslink digital to an outdoor rated amp mounted in the gazebo.  If this is the better route to go, which of those 3 connection types would be the best option?  And does anyone have recommendations for a good outdoor amplifier? Go ahead and mount a Connect Amp in the gazebo.  It would be under a roof and wouldn’t be at risk of direct water contact, but it could get warm and over the winter it will be exposed to cool, but high relative humidity.  Although, I could easily disconnect it and bring it indoors in the fall.  Still, question is whether I would be sentencing a Connect Amp to a very premature de

Just moved into new property and it has Sonos s1 s2 system. I have managed to download apps set up , but can’t connect as previous owners have a  old sign in and password word pc still on it and I can’t access it . How do I set this up for my own use

When I try to play from Apple Music and use AirPlay to my Sonos/IKEA Symfonisk speaker, the sound stops after one second. This happens on both my MacBook Pro and iPhone X. When using the Sonos app on my iPhone, it works fine. However, it means that I can’t play from my MacBook and have to manage music in 2 different apps.I tried updating all apps and rebooting all systems multiple times. The wifi connection is strong. Sometimes (1 out of 20?) times I'm able to stream from Apple Music directly, but that’ll only work for a little while.Does anyone experience the same? How can I fix this? Is there an app for Mac that would allow me to play Apple Music to my speaker?

I’m looking to install 4 sonos ceiling speakers into a living/dining room, powered by one amp. The ceiling is sloped (single slope, shed roof style). The room is 25’ L x 17’ W. The slope runs along the long wall.My question is around placement and options for balancing the sound. Two options:Have all 4 speakers at the same height about 1/3 of the way up the slope. With the slope pitch, this would have the speakers face into the middle of the room. The speakers would not be so much left/right of the listener, more coming from one direction but at least all at the same height. Have 2 speakers at 1/3 way up the slope and another two directly in line with those at 2/3 up the slope. A more standard quadrant setup. However, they would not be at the same height. The issue here is how I’d control the balance of the higher vs closer speaker on the pitched ceiling. Would Trueplay be able to balance the height differences? I realize that without adding a second amp there is no way to control the

Recently upgraded to Sonos2.  Purchased Arc, 3 ones and play 5 to upgrade system. I have a One that is hard wired Ethernet to use network (supposedly to improve connectivity).  Now (daily) several rooms are missing from my system, some speakers are unresponsive.  I have installed, rebooted, factory reset and re-setup entire system almost daily.  Rebooting my router etc works, but am I really going to have to do this every day?  Worried I made a mistake purchasing the several-thousand dollar unreliable system.  My old system on Sonos1 was flawless and reliable for years.  PLEASE HELP! Before I throw the entire system away for Bose.

Did I can use Sonos Sub  gen 3 on his own or I need another speaker ?
