There is no “Sonos 5 generation 3”. There are Play:5 Gen1, Play:5 Gen 2 and Five.

Sub Gen 1 works with all of them (though would require S1 to connect with Play:5 Gen1).

I guess you probably meant Five. All Subs work with Five. They’d all run S2.
