I have Sonos Roam and a linux server with a DVB receiver USB dongle capable of broadcasting digital free-to-air radio in my home network. Is this possible at all to play stream like this?

HelloI have a Sonos Amp. I have connected it to my Firestick 4K on my Benq HD Projector via Line Out, and on the Sonos app I have set the audio delay to 75ms. It is working brilliantly, the lip-sync is spot on.However, the two speakers in the room are wall-mounted and are not in the desired location for the projector screen (they are from an old hi-fi). They are good speakers. Moving the speakers to the right location would be very disruptive, I’d have to cut holes in ceiling and walls.So….I am looking to buy a couple of Era 300 or a pair of Five speakers, and using these with my projector instead, pairing them, and using the line-in. This would allow me to place the speakers on stands either side of the projector screen (so in front of and facing the people watching the films). HOWEVER everything I read says this setup isn’t really suited to TV.I’m not using a TV, I’m using a projector, and the room setup means a soundbar isn’t possible (the projector screen drops down in front of a d

Question:Does the Move 2 actually join a Wifi 6Ghz band or is just compatible with a router that supports WiFi 6 and will default to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz? I have MacBook x 2 and iPad that are WiFi 6 compatible. I can actually see that they are using the 6Ghz band in router settings. Move 2 shows 5Ghz and sometimes 2.4Ghz connection(s).Using an Asus ZenWiFi Pro ET12_WiFi 6E Router

So I have a Playbase and happy with it and still works, but wondering what could works best with it when thinking of todays updates. Would it be able to take advantage of anything the 300’s offer? Wondering if it is worth reconfiguring it…. I can connect:Sub-MiniOne’sEra100sEra300s 

Hi team, I just got a Sonos Arc and two Era 100s to use as surrounds, but as I’ve been using it I've noticed that the only sound I’m getting is Stereo PCM. While this does still sound 100x better than what I used to have, I would like to get as much quality sound as I can out of this system. Here’s my set up as of now: Sonos Arc → HDMI 3 ARC Port (no eARC port, old plasma tv)Apple TV 4K → HDMI 2Era 100s as rear surrounds (back left and right)I have it true tuned and everything as well. Is there any way to get a higher sound quality than base Stereo PCM with only my ARC Port and no eARC? Also, as a side question, Should I keep the Eras behind or should I move closer to the sides or the front as front left and right channels? Thanks in advance for any and all advice!!

I have discovered the craziest thing—I have lossless apple compressed songs in my local music library that I know are supported bit depth and sample rate—but when I try to play them by using “Music Library” as the source, it says “unsupported”. However, when I use Plex as the music source and play the same exact song, it plays it just fine. Does anyone here hasve any explanation or fix for this?! I REALLY do not want to re-encode these into lower quality files, and my major playlists are all in my itunes/apple library (which is how many of the songs are accessed)Thanks!

Sometimes the audio stops working on Beam Gen 2 when streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime. The audio will still work on Direct TV when this occurs. The Beam is connected to a Samsung TV with Dolby Atmos capability via HDMI eARC. 

I have the two AMPs and SUB playing house music via Ethernet in the main bedroom. There is a motorized screen with projector in the headboard and four ceiling speakers. No place for a soundbar. What is the easiest way to autoswitch the audio source from Sonos music to HDMI Roku streaming stick? I have gotten the two AMPs to sense and switch the line out stereo from the projector but want 4.1 surround. Do I need an HDMI ARC Audio Extractor? Will each AMP get its own HDMI feed? Can the surround AMP be configured to play only the surround HDMI signal? When watching tv I use a group of speakers. I don’t want Era 100s to be surround, I want them to play full audio. The next day when I turn on TV, only the Arc plays and I have to find my phone which is usually upstairs on charger to add other speakers (group). Is there a way to make system resume playing the same group without having to re-group them daily? 

 I cannot add my music files to my Music Library. The files are on an external T7 4TB APFS- formatted SSD-disk, and I am running the Sonos S1 Controller App. My Mac OS system is Ventura 13.3. What can be wrong?

Hi guys,We have purchased a ARC and a Song A80L TV and was wondering if we can play the Sony featured inbuilt speakers Sony highly rate along with the ARC by using the HDMI(ARC) input?  any advice would be appreciated Joe

I've been experiencing an issue with my Sonos Arc where the Alexa voice assistant keeps turning off. Despite multiple attempts of uninstalling and reinstalling, the problem persists. Additionally, there are instances where the Arc spontaneously turns off and on throughout the evening. When this happens, I'm unable to turn it back on through the app and must resort to using the controls on the Arc itself. Notably, I previously had a Beam set up in the same manner, and it worked flawlessly. I'm wondering what might be causing this problem or if there's a potential issue with the Arc itself?

I have 4 Connect: Amp units - one of the four suddenly stopped working - it shows no power lights when plugged in. Moderator Edit: Combined thread with reply of OP.

Hi.My SONOS system (Play 5 and Connect) has been in store and have recently recommissioned my setup.I store all my music on a NAS drive and Asset UPnP. However, I can only play one track at a time and not the whole album but I could in the past.Just to confuse issues, I can play everything on my HIFI, So doubt it’s an indexing problemAny idea why? .   

This topic is a year old and it was dismissed as being solved.  It’s not.   I’m reactivating my Port after two years of retirement for all Sono equipment I own.  That’s another story.   I factory reset it and it updated its OS.  Left channel does not work.   It’s not cables or stereo equipment.  A simple swap of L/R validates the source as the Port.   Wassup?   

Hello,  I have just received a second Sonos ERA 300 for Christmas and have added it to my first 300 with a sub mini. They work great together except when I used my turntable through Line In. Then just one of the speakers plays correctly and the other one at a greatly reduced volume. I’ve even swapped the speakers and the new one still plays about half volume even when it is the one with line in connected. Sonos support couldn’t help. Can you offer any guidance? Also balance isn’t an options at all in the app for this pair which seems odd. If I could adjust that I would think it would work.  Greg

Hi! My Sonos one stopped working some time ago. When I am trying to reconnect it with my phone it is just blinking constantly. I have tried to connect it with the network cable and also reset it but it still just continuing blinking. Need help!

I have a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable connected to a Sonos Five.When I play a record, I can hear the music from the record very faintly where the needle meets the vinyl. It’s also playing in the speaker as normal. Is this normal? Can I do anything to stop the music sounding at the surface of the vinyl as it’s a little delay so noticeable when you listen with the lower volume in the speaker.

My system has started exhibiting near constant connection issues on two speakers in particular. A (I think) first gen Play:3 and first gen Playbar are the problems for the most part. Started about 6 months ago maybe. At night I play rain sounds from my music library on 3 different rooms in my home. A Play:1, a Play:3 (the problem one) and the Playbar that’s part of a surround setup with the Sub and two Play:1’s. The Play:3 will only function for a few nights before it starts cutting out again. If unplug it and restart the speaker it seems to fix it for a few more days.  Same with the Playbar, though it can also exhibit similar issues with TV programming. When I play this audio from my library, each room is playing it independently, mainly because playing grouping across multiple rooms usually gives me problems as well. So like I said, rebooting the guilty speaker seems to fix things for a few days. It’s almost as if they are encountering so many errors they freeze up or something.  My

I have a ten year old Sonos system w built in speakers attached to my components.  What would it cost to upgrade the entire system?what would an upgrade provide compared to my current system?

I’m considering buying a Sonos Arc but before I do I want to make sure it will work for the intended purpose. Is it possible for me to set up a Sonos Arc, 2 Sonos One and Sonos Bass as surround sound on my TV and also use the same 2 Sonos Ones as a stereo pair when I’m playing music or does one negate the other?  Have a whole bunch of Sonos stuff, everything has been working fine but now something has happened. Can't get SUB & Play:1 to work with playbar.If I make a stereo pair of Play:1 it works perfectly with or without sub, if I connect sub to any other speakers it works fine but if I try to connect them to playbar it doesn't work. Have reset and reinstalled tons of times. It refuses to work however the Playbar as it is also works without problems.(Before, I use a network cable but after I talked to sonos support, now all speakers are on WIFI)Searched the Sonos forum found others with the same problem but nowhere have I found how to solve it, does anyone here have any good tips before all the hair is gone :-) 

Hi. I’m new to the Sonos family and have 4 Sonance ceiling speakers connected to an amp. An Arc and Sub. Set up as 2 groups. I’m thinking of adding a turntable and am a bit limited with wiring it to the amp. I’m thinking of a wireless turntable and been researching Victrola Onyx/Carbon. Anyone got experience of these or something similar that can wirelessly (not Bluetooth) get integrated with the Sonos set up? 

I have an Arc connected to an older Vizio TV. The sound will drop out for 5 to 60 seconds and then come back. I used the HDMI  cable that came with the Arc. I tried rebooting the TV and resetting the soundbar. How do I tell if it’s the TV or the Arc?
