There is no sound when my sonos ray is connected to the desktop

I connected my sonos ray to my motherboard using an adapter. The device can be displayed in my sound settings, and everything tested is normal, and the sound card driver is also the latest version, but there is no sound from the speaker. Why?

What adapter are you using and what audio format are you sending out to the Ray? Try Stereo PCM.

These are the supported Home Theatre audio inputs supported by the Sonos Ray…

  • Stereo PCM
  • Dolby Digital (not DD+ or Atmos)
  • DTS (S2 App setup only)

I have used both Stereo PCM and Dolby Digital adapters, and both devices can be displayed, but there is no sound.

What audio adapters are you using make/model etc? What is the connection on the sound card?

It's almost certain the adapter isn't sending an ARC signal.

I randomly bought an adapter on Amazon. I tried it with HDMI, audio cable and USB, and they all showed the device. I also tried all the frequencies, but there was no sound.

You’ve been asked twice what adapter up you are using. Without that info there probably is no further help to give.
