I have the original Sonos (Gen 1?) and have a sonos Beam. I do not have any Sonos 2 products but have just bought bought a pair of Ikea Symfonisk speakers (104.873.07) which turn out to be gen 2 speakers. (which was not clear on their website) any way I can use these or do I need to return them?

Problem solved. I have bought tprevious generation ikea Sonos speakers on eBay (which are no longer available from IKEA) and will return these ones. It is a shame ikea does not make the difference clear. Thank you for your interest.

What exactly is “the original Sonos (Gen 1)”?

The Beam is compatible with the S2 app.

I do not have Sonos S2 or generation 2 so the S2 components do not work on my system as far as I can tell that includes the latest ikea speakers.

Which specific Sonos speakers do you currently have? Be very specific with the model name.
