I am running into issues when setting up two separate surround sound zones. Zone 1 (Great Room) - playbar, sub, connect:amp for 2 rear (non-Sonos) speakers. Zone 2 (Basement) - playbar, sub, connect:amp for 2 rear (non-Sonos) speakers. Currently, for Zone 1 there is one ethernet cable which runs from the Shaw router to the amp and a second ethernet cable which runs from the amp to the playbar. It’s same case for Zone 2 - one ethernet cable which runs from the Shaw router to the amp and a second ethernet cable which runs from the amp to the playbar.Zone 1 works perfectly fine until connecting Zone 2’s ethernet cable to the Shaw router; once connected, the sound in Zone 1 cuts in and out. Why would this be? 

Good morning,I would like to know if there is a way to connect my Sonos Arc (already connected wirelessly to a TV)  to a conventional amplifier (Cambridge CXA80, wired to conventional speakers) in a way that I can play music (i.e. from a digital source such a NAS) to simultaneously the wired speakers and the Sonos Arc.Thank you!

Hey all,My Roam’s battery apparently ran out and I’ve been charging it with usb cable for the last 8 hours.At first the battery light was solid orange.Now the battery light has turned off and status light is blinking white but it’s not turning on.I haven’t changed my router nor changed the router’s name and password.I’ve tried all the steps to reset like: Press and hold the power button on the back of your Roam for 5 seconds to power it off. You will hear a chime and the status LED on the front will turn off. While holding the Play/Pause button, press and release the power button on the back of your Roam. Continue holding the Play/Pause button until the light on the front flashes orange and white. The light will flash green when the process is complete and your Sonos Roam is ready to be set up. This did not work.Anybody have any suggestions, I’m not sure what to do now this haven’t happened before.Thanks in advance!

Hi, i am looking at upgrading my basement speaker set up. Currently only using (2) Costway Dual 10” 1600W powered controlled speakers mostly streaming through bluetooth. I am wondering how I can install (4) ceiling mount speakers that go to a sonos amp and then play with the existing 10” speakers. I’ve read about using the “line in” on the sonos amp to my speakers, would that connect all of them and play at the same time or is that too much on the sonos amp? The 10” speakers are currently plugged into a 110V outlet. Link to the speakers below. Appreciate any help!10" Speakers

How to stop Pandora.  I can pause Pandora but can’t figure out how to actually stop Pandora other than starting the TV and overriding Pandora.  Seems like Pandora is still running. 

I use Sonos S1 Controller with my iPhone 7+. Suddenly this morning the mobile reported that it was unable to find a Sonos system. Meanwhile my iPad, mac laptop and desktop continue to work with my Sonos system (6 speakers all on same network). My iOS is up-to-date 15.8. None of the solutions suggested worked or were appropriate. Any ideas?

Hi!I have seen this issue here multiple times, but I so far I did not found a solution:My new Sonos Amp does not switch to Sonos Net (wm 0). It always stays on wm 1. And causes then problems when beeing in the same group as the other, wm 0 devices - at least I think this is the reason why I have dropouts and unreachable sonos systems ;) As long as the Amp its on its own, every thing seems fine.So: Any idea about how I can convince the Amp to switch? WifI signal is ok there. But I am no Sonos Techi to know what else I can do/switch/toggle… 

Hi, all,My main remote controller (the Google one from Chromecast with Google TV) is suddenly skipping volume levels.My setup:Hisense TV + Beam Gen 2 + IKEA Symfonisk as rear speakers. Beam connected via HDMI ARC and with CEC enabled everywhere.Since December I have an issue, where my Chromecast remote controller is skipping volume levels. It’s almost always my main ones that it skips (around level 12). It usually goes by 2 levels per button press (that’s normal), but sometimes it skips by 4-8 for no reason. Why is it so? Other means of volume settings work fine (hardware buttons on Symfonisks or Beam, app control, even the TV controller is fine). I tried disabling the remote controller in Chromecast, but it didn’t worked. Can’t add it via app, since it is not IR controller - works automatically via CEC. What else should I consider? Thanks in advance.

I’ve had my Sonos Roam (bought at Costco) for slight over a year and the orange light is on.Originally, I had it on the wireless charger and when I went to turn it on, nothing happened. Then, I switched over to the wired charger and the orange light came on. I left it on for hours (over a day), but still nothing. I’ve held the power button down for 15 seconds, but still unresponsive.  After spending over $100 on this speaker, just over a year ago,I’m starting to really doubt the quality of Sonos. Seems like their battery is no better than those on much cheaper speakers. Any other suggestions? 

How do i update my sonos roam so it can be used with sonos S2 app ? All i get is that its not registered an do cant update remove or get it back on the network. I keep seeing they tell me to open S1 and reset it from there, but when i open S1 app i just get told to open S2 app were i cant do anything about it. I can connec it to Spotify or any other app.

Hi all, I have a substantial Sonos system (20 devices) all running S2. My new Ubiquiti mesh network is not working well with my Sonos system. I am running a Sonos Boost connected to my base station. Any thoughts or suggestions? 

Help needed with my Sonos Ray, and apologies for the long post….Here’s what I have in terms of Tv/connected devices: the main bugbear is to be able to control the Ray’s volume with a TV remote, which seems impossible at the moment.I have a JVC Smart TV, model LT43CA790c. Connected to the HDMI 2(ARC) is a Tv Firestick, connected to HDMI 1 is a Virgin (Tivo) box, and the ray is connected via the supplied Optical cable.In terms of set up, I have the TV’s audio output set to external audio , with the TV speakers off. The supplied JVC TV remote seems not to be an Infrared type as it won’t pair with the Ray, nor control the sound. Can someone recommend a universal remote that will work? Questions:1.do I have the devices connected to the best inputs? Ignoring the Ray for a moment, there is a distinct drop in volume when using the Virgin box when compared to the Firestick (which is connected to the HDMI(ARC) input.2 When I use the Ray, I’m finding I need to have the volume up near the 50/60 ma

I have a 65” newer model lg 4k (65Nano75uqa) and about 4 Sonos one gen 2 speakers. I was wondering if I would be able to connect them directly to the tv, or if I need to purchase a soundbar. If I need a soundbar, what’s the best route to go to have movies and tv playing to my Sonos one speakers set up around my living room? 

i have recently purchased a Sonos Arc, Sub and Era 300 speakers for my livng room TV, which is a Sony XR6509J. i am now unable to listen through my wireless headphones. The headphones connect to the Optical Output from the TV. When I change the Audio Output to TV Speakers, to enable me to listen thriugh my headphones, the TV automatically defaults  back to Audio System, rendering my headphones useless. Prior to Sonos, I had an AV Receiver and speaker system.  I could simply mute the sound from the tv and listen through the headphones when I turned them on. Can anyone assist?

Hi all, I’m hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I have two wifi networks in my house with different SSIDs. Let’s call them SSID 1 and SAID 2. Three of my Sonos speakers (a 5, an old Play3 and a Roam) appear on the System tab when connected to SSID 1 and the fourth speaker (an old Play3) appears only when connected to SSID 2. I obviously would like to have them all appear on the same SSID, specifically SSID 2.  Oddly, all four speakers show that they’re connected to SSID 2 in the Settings/System/Products view. I cannot explain that.  Thanks for any advice/solution for this!

I have many Sonos products (Base, Amp, Sub, 6 speakers and a Move) on my network that were all working in harmony.When I wanted to buy a soundbar, I turned again to Sonos. What a mistake!!!!! I bought a Beam with two ERA 100 speakers and followed the instructions, but could not get the speakers to work. So I called Sonos support department and everything got much worse. After being on the phone for over two hours, the support person could not get the speakers to work. Additionally, he told me that I needed to disconnect the Ethernet cable from one of my Sonos products. That was an insurmountable problem since NONE of my Sonos products are connected to Ethernet. The rep demanded that I send him pictures of the different components showing NO Ethernet connected. He essentially insulted me and insinuated that I simply didn’t know what an Ethernet cable is. I run an IT support company and probably know more about networking than he does. In the end he never was able to connect the speakers

Hello,I have tried contacting support, but didn't really get anywhere with this issue. I have a Roam SL that goes to the dreaded "Not connected" state every few days. It requires reboot of the SL for it to reconnect. Rebooting router and satellite router and resetting the SL did not help. I have numerous other Sonos devices on both SonosNet and battery -powered that do not experience this issue. I experimented by putting a Sonos Roam (non-SL) near to the problematic SL about 10 feet away from my Orbi satellite and consistently the SL will disconnect in this fashion every few days. The regular Roam has no issues. I have tried setting the SL with a static IP reservation, but it didn't seem to help. Just curious if anyone has any other ideas. I can understand having intermittent issues on busy wifi networks, but I'm confused why this unit just drops off into lalaland when no other battery-powered units do the same thing in my system. Is the SL just much more flaky than the Move or regular

.: Greetings. I’ve had a Sonos Arc SL and two Sonos One SL speakers for 1-2 years now. When I watch cable or streaming services, I always heard full surround sound. Then a couple of days ago, the One speakers stopped broadcasting any sound at all. I searched for solutions on the Interwebs and nothing I found solved the problem. Then I tried the Factory Reset, and used TruePlay to configure the surround sound in my living room. Everything sounded good with Trueplay having reconfigured the One SL speakers.Then I tried various shows on Netflix, Prime, Apple TV+, etc., and no sound came out of the One SL speakers.One other note: Up until a couple days ago, when I muted the sound on my flat-screen tv, the lights on the top of the One SL speakers would turn green. Now when I do it, they remain white.I am at a loss. I have no idea what else to try and no idea what to do now. If anyone has an idea that might solve this, please let me know.
