Hi everyoneNeed some advice from people who know much more than myself about this!I have recently purchased a Sonos Arc to use with my Apple TV 4K and Amazon Firestick 4K. I have a Sony KD TV and have plugged the Sonos Arc into its e-arc port and removed the Apple TV 4K that was in there and put that in another (non e-arc) HDMI port. Is that correct? When I watch the new Netflix’s Society of the Snow film on my Apple TV it displays multichannel PCM 5.1 in the Sonos App but on Amazon Firestick it states Dolby Digital 5.1 and sounds louder. Which is the best format for sound quality? On BBC iPlayer on Apple TV it generally shows Stereo PCM yet Firestick displays Dolby Digital plus 2.0. Which of these is better? I’m guessing Dolby Dogital? The only way I can get the Apple TV to play in Dolby Digital is by going into the audio settings and turning off the auto setting but then if I want to play something in Atmos I have to go back in the switch this back to auto!!Tthanks in advance and sor

Anyone else lose the ability to turn crossfade on/off via their phone? For me specifically an iPhone 12 Version 15.11. Its there on my Mac though

Hi! The Sonos system at my parents house is giving them a lot of trouble. They have a fairly big system, consisting of two Play:1 zones, two One zones, two Connect:Amp zones, and one Playbar zone. Each zone consists of a standalone speaker, with no stereo pairing or Subs involved. In particular, the Connect:Amp devices are intermittently dropping audio for about 5 to 10 seconds at a time, several times a day. Sometimes the audio in these zones stop altogether and they need to power the devices off and on to get them working. The problem only exhibits itself when listening to live radio via BBC Sounds or TuneIn. They haven’t had any issues when listening to Spotify or Apple Music, but they mostly listen to live radio so they can’t say for sure whether other services would be impacted if they used them more often. They previously had a Sonosnet connection using a BOOST wired to their BT Smarthub 2 router and had similar issues. There’s a grey noise coming out of the Era 300 when connected to my turntable.my setup is a Pro-ject Debut 3 turntable connected to a NAD preamp on phono.the record sound is very low and theres a loud grey sound as soon as i connect my jack to the Era 300.has anyone had this issue? thanks!

I currently listen to my music (ripped from my old CDs) by sending it from iPad or iPhone to my Beam via AirPlay. If I bought an Era 300 and sent the music there instead, would there be a noticeable improvement in quality? Thanks.

I am holiday with my very new Move 2 and it is now just sitting there with a flashing red led.it was working fine on my home system And also worked fine for 2 days on holiday with me streaming Bluetooth from a Sony mp3 player. Now it is just dead. It won’t reset and is completely unresponsive whether it is on the charger or not. I have read through the forums and every suggestion either doesn’t work or is not applicable.  

I am trying to connect my Play 1 to the Alexa services.Alexa can see the Room, but not the device, nothing seems to allow the app to discover the Sonos Play 1.I have reset and rebooted, checked the software, the Sonos is working through traditional apps and services fine, but the alexa just cannot find it.What could i be missing?When i scan for the speaker, it finds a plug that is not in service - no idea why, but i have tried to search repetitively without success.The play 1 is on the same network as the alexa dot… i feel like i MUST be missing something…The skills to play have been enabled, the room is known to alexa but there are no speakers, i am getting desperate!Please any help would be great.Alexa not discovering my Sonos Play:1 | Sonos CommunitySimilar, to this, but resolution seems unclear

I have Sonos Arc system and a Chiq TV in my outdoor kitchen. I have Samsung TV’s in the other zones that Sonos is connected and this issue does not occur there. After a few hours of watching TV or listening to music outside, the volume drops to 15 (Sonos) and will not allow me in increase. Even if I use the TV remote or the Sonos app, the volume keeps dropping back to 15. If i turn the TV off for 15 minutes it fixes the issues for the time being. Any idea why this is happening. 

Will I lose my current SONOS playlists and have to re-create them if I upgrade to a new SONOS speaker?

Can I leave Roam on its wireless charging stand so it is ready all the time?  Will this hurt the battery?

We’ve been using our Sonos more since we got Apple Music. We have 5 speakers and a connect:amp. This am I wake up and only the Connect Amp shows! Support page starts with  turn all off and on. There are 5!!! All over the house in weird places!!! Why does this happen???  How can I avoid this? Ugh!!! 

When I use my Sonos move 2 with Bluetooth the sound keeps failing/pausing. Any suggestion to fixed it? I have an iPhone 15

I’ve just set up a connect S15 with the S2 app on both my Mac running Mojave and my iphone. I’ve got the analog out on the Connect feeding an existing stereo. I added Bandcamp as a source and it works just fine; I can access and play all my purchases w/o issue. I added 6 folders containing various format music files (mostly mp3, some wav and flac) to the music library in the computer app as per user’s guide instructions. These files all appear in the library but none of them will play. I get an ‘unable to play (file name) unable to connect to (folder name). I can play these files on my computer, I can burn them to cd-r. Any idea won’t Sonos doesn’t want to play them? I just submitted a diagnostic # 1930119625.

So, I have a pair of klipsch aw650s, that I put up outside for summer time. Currently they are inside though, with Sonos AMP connected to the TV, sub, and sonos ones. In this room, right now, I have sub, two fives, two ones, and the klipsch speakers. While sub is good for tv, I want something better for music, I am thinking svs pb3000. I would like to sell the fives and sub, they aren't as loud as the klipsch and I like the sound of the klipsch better. With that said, I would like to get a third party amp, a port, and two new inside speakers. The speakers will be hooked up to the tv with AMP, and the new sub. But I want the port and new amp to power the outdoor speakers when they get hung back up outside. Or the inside speakers I don't really care. I have run wiring for an amp to power the speakers outside, through an exterior wall. I am looking for third party stuff, as $700 for AMP seems like a lot. Any suggestions on speakers to connect to AMP and the tv? And suggestions on an amp t

I have two soundbars, one play 5, one sub, yesterday all were working on the same system, today my two soundbars will not connect, even though the other two speakers continue to work on the system, the app keeps telling me they cannot connect to the system. I have rebooted both soundbars, restarted my router and the message remains the same….help!

I have an Arc and 2 in-ceiling speakers connected to an amp. If I stream from, say, spotify to the ceiling speakers, it works fine. But if I use the app to connect them to the Arc as surround speakers, no sound comes out. I’ve tried watching things with netflix and also using Airplay to stream a surround sound test from a website (not youtube). I’ve also tried rebooting the router and the arc. Any other suggestions?

Hello,   I have a Earc capable tv with the Lytmi Fantasy 3 TV Backlight Kit HDMI 2.1 with Sync Box. There is a fire cube and gaming console plug into the hdmi Sync box however the Sonos arc will not produce sound when plugged in to the tv or the sync box but will produce sound when connected through the optical cable. I know this cause a lose of sound quality. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can still get Dolby Atmos?Any help is greatly appreciate

Almost every time after doing a Sonos update my 3’s that are paired as surrounds fail and drop off. This has happened for the last 4 updates. What the heck is going on with Sonos QA??

Hi!I hope someone can help me with their own experience or knowledge.I’m already using Sonos in two different configurations :A pair of stereo Play:1 in one room, A home cinema with a Ray and two Era 100 in another. I control them both with the Sonos App.I want to play my vinyl records on the Sonos speakers, using a Sonos Port (I’ve already got a vinyl turntable and a Pioneer amp), and I still want to be sure of two things before I buy the Port.My questions are :When I want to switch from the home cinema setup to the Port playing the vinyls, will it be smooth enough, I mean without having to redo my home cinema setup every time ? Does the Sonos Port allow me to broadcast the vinyl music to all my system, including the pair of Play:1 and the pair of Era 100 ?Many thanks for your help !Cheers,Cédric 

I must be using the wrong terminologies when searching for an answer to this. There are times when I want to use surround sound for movies etc, and there are times when I want to have just stereo for music.  So, I added a separate Sonos account on my ipad.  However, the ipad won’t let me sign in to Sonos with my new user name and pw.  Here is what I get: status_code "401 UNAUTHORIZED" message "authorize flow not properly initiated"  I can’t be the only person wanting to do this. There are lots of questions about similar challenged on this community but I haven’t been able to find an answer as to how to have two separate system settings for 1)surround and 2)hifi stereo.Background info:Beam Gen 2, Two Era 300’s, Sub mini All in one room (no interest in having music in any other room) Using iphone for Sonos app LG C1 tv Comcast “xfi complete” WiFi
