Looking at buying a Sonos Port to link with my old Technics stack HiFi system incorporating a Technics SU-X520D amplifier.Specifically wanting to do two things:1. Stream vinyl from my turntable which connects to the amp via phono sockets to my Sonos system (Arc soundboard with 2 SL1 surround speakers and 2 standalone Sonos One and 2 standalone SL1 speakers.2. Stream music from my computer via Airplay through the Technics system. My understanding of the advice in the posts in the Community is to hook up the tape deck Out / In jacks to the Port In /Out connections. That is fine, happy to do that, but as the tape deck is currently hooked up to the amp, I wondered if there were other possibilities? I have DAT Record Out sockets;VCR Out and In socketsVDP one set of (unspecified) sockets.There is also a set of External Out / In sockets, but these are currently hooked up to the Graphic Equaliser.In addition, there is an Auxiliary Digital-In socket which, presumably, I could connect to the Por

I have recently purchased an Era 100. It has been set up as per instructions and prompts and has been working fine until a few days ago. Alexa has not been responding to the command to turn off and the only way to turn it off has been to ask it to change radio stations then command it to turn off. The speaker is mainly set to Newstalk ZB talk radio station for most of the day. It turns on fine and adjusts volume when requested.  Any clues out there how to fix this?

 Are Sonos devices in a surround setup using dedicated wireless connections even if all devices are connected wired via Ethernet and WiFi is disabled in the settings?I am running a Sonos surround setup (arc, sub and two era300). All devices are connected to the home Gigabit network via dedicated Ethernet cables. WiFi is disabled in the Sub and Arc settings. The Eras are connected via Sonos Combo adapter. Everything works fine.Checking the web interface of the surround devices via port 1400 there are no ath0 entries in the ipconfig report.But I am still wondering if there is a wireless connection between the surround devices. Can someone from Sonos give a „official“ answer? 

Just got my Era 100 yesterday, unboxed it today.Loaded up my (Android) phone w/the Sonos appGot my Era 100 configuredWhen I go to try to link my Youtube Music account, I get an error “There was a problem loading the page”I have tried rebooting the Era, reinstalling the app, everything but lighting sage and waving it at the machine.  HALP! thanks.

I have the Arc, Sub and Era 300 connected to my LG for surround cinema sound, would I notice the difference if I added Sonos Amp with a second sub?I love watching movies as close to cinema sound i can get on Sonos. 

I would like music to start playing on three different speakers at the same time. Thought an alarm would be best, but, even though there is a grouped rooms option, it only goes off on one speaker. A few questions for you pros:What is the purpose of that “included grouped speakers” option if it does not play speakers grouped together? I have multiple groups, in which the same speakers are grouped. How does checking that option determine which of the speaker’s groups are triggered? Finally, if there is no way to make this work, would setting the same alarm (to Sirius XM) on multiple speakers seperately work?Thanks all!  D

I have several Sonos products around the house (bedroom, study (play 1’s as a stereo pair), lounge (sound bar, sub and play 1’s as surround pair) and kitchen (play 3’s as a stereo pair).All work fabulously apart from the stereo pair of Play 3’s in the kitchen. There is a distinct delay between the functionality from the app, to the speakers actually playing music, the same delay occurs when the volume is adjusted (the delay can be upto 5 seconds). The delay occurs across all streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple, Radio etc). This does not happen for any of the other rooms. Some help to fix this would be really great please.

Hi. I'm a Sonus system newbie and new to the forum as well. I'm just looking for a little advice on the best state to leave a Sonus system in when it's not being used. We have a new home theater  system consisting of an LG OLED tv, Sonos ARC, Sub & Era 100's for surround sound.My wife, or I, will very frequently use blue tooth headphones to watch tv so as not to disturber the other. In order to use the BT headphones I have disable both HDMI-CEC and eARC on the tv. With HDMI-CEC & eARC disabled the status LED on the Sub and Era's remain white as long as Sub Audio and Surround Audio are left enabled on the Sonos app. If I disable the Sub & Surround Audio on the Sonos app, the LED on both starts a slow green flash.I know a white LED means the device is powered and ready to use and the slow green flash just means the devise is disabled in the Sonos app. My question: is there a recommended state for the devices in when not in use? Does one state consume more power than the other

I have the Arc and x2 rear Play:1’s working absolutely fine together when watching TV and listening to music. When I group the Roam and the Arc/Play:1’s together they work fine for music but for TV there is a big delay on the Roam but the Arc/Play:1’s are absolutely fine.  Why does the Roam have this delay?How can I fix it?

The app keeps prompting me that the 2 Era300s and Sub are disconnected from the surrounds for the Arc. However they are showing white light (connected) and I can still adjust volume from the era300s, but no sound comes from them.  This has never happened before. I tried resetting the speakers, and resetting the wifi. But they still drop the minute it’s set up.  is there some software issue? I didn’t change anything to the wifi today and none of other connected devices had issues.  Thanks.

this could..i guess make some sense if i had the music was stored on a NAS or another PC on the network, but when i try to play locally stored Mp3 files from the very same PC, 80% of the time i get ‘an error occured the local>path>to>library>song.mp3 could tnot be found’. It gets even worse whe i try to play said music on the PC over network...but it does work 10% of the times. I reinstalled, reindexed, reset the router, firewall is fully allowing sonos service and client.

If I have the tv/sonos on all day by the evening I have to turn the volume up a lot.

I have an audio-technical AT-LP120-USB Direct-Drive Professional USB and Analog Turntable System. I’d like to find the correct Sonos component that will connect the turntable to my Sonos system. I have Sonos Immersive Set with Arc (Arc, sub and 2 Ones) for TV and streaming music audio in the living room; and Sonos Fives in our bedroom and den. The turntable (haven’t yet used) is on a shelf in the den, near power but not near the Sonos Five. I’m looking for a component that will allow the turntable to connect (and be an audio source) to the Sonos system via my WiFi network. The turntable has a cable with RCA-type L&R connectors and a female USB Type B socket. What is the best, and hopefully most economical, Sonos component that can connect the turntable output to my Sonos system via WiFi?

I’ve just received new speakers for my living room. 2 Era 100 and Sub Mini. Since before I have a ray connected to my TV because it turned out that the TV I bought a year ago had terrible sound. My use case for the new speakers is listening to music. Don’t care that much about surround sound for the TV but okey if it comes in the package without messing up sound quality for music.  When installing the new speakers it ended up as a surround set up with the ray sound bar. As default when playing music it mainly used the ray and the Era speakers as some kind of “mood managers”. Not at all my intention. I want Era as stereopairs preferably without the ray in the mix at all.   To improve the situation I’ve changed surround settings in two ways:Changed music setting to “Full” adjusted music level to +15It makes the system behave a bit more as expected and sound did improve, ray is still playing though. I have an arc and 2 300s on order. Am I correct that if I add the 300s as surrounds, there is no way to enable the front drivers when I want to play non spatial music like Spotify? I just can't believe that would be the case, so hopefully I'm mistaken. I totally understand disabling them for atmos and spatial , but it's like you are locking them into that and then can't use them properly for regular music?Thanks for any advice or workarounds !

I have a Sonos Roam device that only works to connect to wifi when I want to take it out of the house I can't connect itI don't know if all products of this model are the same, but I wish I could get it out of the house.

Hi - I’m planning a construction project in my house and part of it includes re-doing our TV area. It’s a small area - around 12’ x 8’. I’m thinking about doing a setup with an Arc, Sub, and 2 ceiling speakers for rear surround via AMP. I had a few questions about this setup.How would this zone be used if I want to listen to music on it instead of TV? Specifically w/ regards to the surrounds. Will the AMP for the surrounds and the SUB be linked to the ARC and act as one zone, whether for TV or music? Or is each component like a separate assignable room? I’m trying to figure out how to get this space to work best for both TV and music. How does the TV etc recognize the configuration for it’s output? Does it act like a 3.1 setup and use the source material mix? Or does it just come as a bitstream and Sonos does its own thing with the mix? If I need to have multiple inputs - i.e. a streamer, blu-ray, etc.. I assume they just all go into the TV and I use the TV inputs to switch back and fo

Hello, I'm looking for advice on my whole home Sonos system (Boost ,((Amp w/ 2 sets of in-wall mounted Bose Virtually Invisible 191 speakers)),1x Play 1, 2x Play 3, 2x Play 5, Playbar on 75” Sony LED, Beam on Sony 65” LED and 1x Play 5 hooked into a Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT.) The record player is always lower than the other speakers on group play. I'm on Xfinity  2G speed internet service running about 1.8G regularly. How can hook this all up to run effectively and sound amazing. The Bose lines all run to a lower level closet where the AMP is picking both sets up, so I cannot change volume between those 2 sets. thanks 

I have had Sonos for years now and experiencing two new issues. When listening to music (on one or several speakers), the music will turn off for about 3-7 seconds and then come back on. What’s odd is, my living room is set up with a Play 5 and a Sub. When the Play 5 stops playing as described above, the sub will still play. Any thoughts on how to fix? The second issue is, when I am listening to music (seems mostly when using multiple speakers) randomly in the middle of a song, the song will stop and a new song in the playlist will start playing. I am the only one that has the application on my phone, so no one else is messing around and changing the song. Any thoughts? Thank you! Gary

Despite my home's robust FTTH 1GB mesh network setup, I'm experiencing intermittent cutouts and jitters, particularly with the Play 5's, which disrupt the seamless audio experience Sonos is known for.During a recent demonstration in my study, the system's performance fluctuated unexpectedly in front of an esteemed international DJ, which was quite disheartening. The network matrix indicates an intermittent red signal from the Sub, yet my network remains otherwise stable and fast, which suggests the possibility of a software inconsistency.With two devices directly connected to the LAN via Cat 6 and no discernible network issues, I'm inclined to believe there could be a software-related anomaly affecting system stability. I have a spare connect:amo and am planning to use it to power some ceiling speakers in a bathroom (they will be the only speakers in the bathroom). Will the sonos sonance speakers work ok with the connect:amp? I believe I won’t be able to use trueplay with the connect:amp - how much does this matter with the sonance speakers. Would it make a huge big to upgrade from connect:amp to amp (an expence I would prefer to avoid if there is not much difference. Any replies/advice gratefully received.
