So I just added 2 Era100 as surround speakers to my Arc and Sub mini setup. I always stream music and films from my Xbox. Services like Disney will give me surround sound, no problem. Spotify however will not. I have no idea why. Surround will work if I stream Spotify directly from my Tv tu my phone. Thanks for your help.

Spotify is stereo only, and since it is coming from a TV source, streaming Spotify from your X-Box is not going to give you the same “Full” stereo you get from streaming a music source through the Sonos app. If Sonos sees a stereo source coming in on the HDMI-ARC, it’s going to play it as plain stereo.

Does the XBox Spotify app stream in surround? Seems like you might get a better answer if you were to post in an XBox or Spotify forum, as your Sonos speakers appear to be fine, based on the fact they work if you stream from your phone.
