Hello, I’m trying to get to the bottom of an issue with one of my players dropping out audio, all others are perfect.Short Q: I have a Connect that is wired to a network switch and has frequent drop outs - can it choose to use wireless even though it has an ethernet cable in the back of it? Long Q:Sonos system made up of:Port - WiredConnect - WiredPlay 1 stereo Pair - WiredPlay 1 - Wired 2 x Play 1 - Not Wired No changes to my system for a few years, the last change I made was to replace an older ZP90 with a Port when S2 happened. Everything has been happy until the last couple of months, the Connect has been suffering drop outs - sometimes a second or 2 which it recovers from, sometimes it won’t even start.I’ve been on to Sonos support a couple of times and they have changed the WiFi channel on the Sonos system and changed the channel on my Virgin Hub 3 and turned off Auto Channel. Good evening, I have been reading many many threads, but I now need to try and get help, as nothing seems to work.i have a sky router and from that I have an amplifi router which creates its own WiFi network, as I need to get coverage which sky can’t in the house.since i have set this up in December my 2 play ones, 3 x play 3’s and Beam all lose connection throughout the day.i have the beam hardwired into the amplifi routerBefore connecting to sonosnet I tried  all of the speakers on  WiFi and gave each Sonos a static up address. that didn’t help so set up sonosnetbut everyday at some point during the day the app doesn’t recognise the system and I have reboot the amplifi router, and power on and then off all the speakers.all the settings on the amplifi are switched to non auto so there is no clash with 2.4 or 5GHz Sonosnet is set to channel 11 and router is set to 6 all speaks show WM:0, even the dash board on the amplifi app shows all speakers as being wired.i just don’t get why at ce

I am unable to play my Spotify playlist. Prompt is  unable to add songs to the Que. I can play Pandora and other streaming services. Any suggestions? 

Hi there, i recently bought 26 sonos ERA 100. i will need to connect them all together. im not sure on the limitations of this? if i can have them all in one group/room and just link them together so they share the same feed? or if i can have them all individually. all speakers can be mono feed. i read somewhere that 32 sonos one speakers can be in one system. so im hoping its the same for the ERA 100.

The Sonos one plays static over everything I try to play through it. The actual music is very dull and the static is as loud as I would think the music should be. Is this a fixable thing?

Looking for a solution to Sonos cutting in and out. I’m an IT guy with multiple sonos connects hardwired to a solid enterprise grade home network. Tried starting over with factory reset for my Sonos Connects and Five. Worked for a while but much to my dismay, cutouts once again. Happens on XM and Spotify which are my main sources, both of which work perfectly well via desktop and phone apps. Sonos not so much.  Very frustrating, especially since there is no diagnostic capability to help trouble shoot this mess. Have been a Sonos user for 5+ years with no issues. Lots of posts on this issue, any magical advise on this issue.

Hi, I have the Beam Gen 2. I’ve found that TV dialogue is easier to understand than without it. However, movie dialogue can be difficult to understand depending on the streaming service (Amazon, Netflix, etc) and the movie itself. I'm using the Speech Enhancement option. Not sure if it is helping.  I’m wondering what Sonos product I should add to enhance dialogue as this is my primary goal. My room is around 12 x 12. And the TV is the LG 55” OLED C2. Would love some suggestions on this, thanks! 

Alexa says she's found my music selection and announces it's playing but there's no music. Alexa will play music on my phone but not with verbal requests. 

Hey, First post, so please be gentle…..So please let me paint the picture…We just moved into a house with a connect amp and 2 sonance ceiling speakers which i wanted to use as surrounds to the Playbar we mounted under the Samsung Frame TVCurrently, this is wired as follows:Ethernet to Connect Amp from RouterEthernet from Connect Amp to PlaybarFibre optic from Frame TV control box to Playbar.Current situation is the following:Playbar works with both TV and streaming music all ok.Surrounds work but only when streaming music, nothing when watching TV. I would really appreciate some help with this please. Thanks, Martin 

I have an older Yamaha Audio Receiver and a couple of Boston Acoustic speakers I want to use for my office.Can I use an older S1 connect to plug into the receiver and run my music from Spotify. I am using S2 throughout the house to run all my other Sonos Gen 2 speakers. I would be listening to these 2 system separately. S1 for the home office and S2 for the house an outside.Long winded but will the S1 system work for the office setup?ThanksM

On Sonos products does turning off the wifi turn off the wifi card? Trying to see if Sonos Arc and Sub gen 3 give off radiation and EMF’s when wifi is disabled. thanks

Hello Has anyone recently returned a product? If so can you please let me know how you did this and which method you used to contact Sonos? I’ve contacted the support number live chat, support@sonos.com and even ceo@sonos.com out of sheer desperation but can’t get anywhere! I purchased the product directly from Sonos so if this happened I could rely on their customer service but so far it’s the worst I’ve experienced.  I have a faulty Arc and contacted customer support who offered to replace the product. They sent an email the following day which said I would receive a follow up email with options on how to return it. I didn’t receive the follow up email and despite following up that email 4 times and contacting their online chat a further 3 times I am yet to receive any instructions on how to return the faulty item. It’s now been almost month and each time I speak to customer support I get equally evasive replies that I’ll receive an email within 24-48 hours or the representative will

Since a few days the integration between IFTTT and Sonos stopped working. I can connect from IFTTT to Sonos but no room/favorite infos show up. Has there been any change? 

I just bought a Sub Mini which is working well with my stereo pair of ERA 100 speakers with one major exception.  The touch controls on each ERA 100 do not control the volume of the sub, only the other ERA 100 speaker leaving the sound with either way too much or too little bass depending on if I turned the volume up or down.  The volume works correctly using the phone APP which even brings the volume of the Sub Mini back in sync with the 2 ERA 100s.Sonos tech support verified this behavior using the support feature which confirmed the volume was  moving in sync using the APP but not when using the touch controls in 2 separate submissions.Sonos Tech support said this is normal behavior but I am a little skeptical of the agent’s response and frequently use the grooved touch volume control.Is the sub’s volume not responding to the volume touch controls on the speakers consistent with other’s experience?Any thoughts or suggestions?  ty

Weird new problem with an existing Sonos setup that has popped up this week after my ISP had a big outage this week. I have an Orbi RBRE960 Mesh network with 3 satellites. I have 4 Sonos One speakers, a Playbar and an Amp scattered around the house and connected across the diffferent satellites. Previously, the controller app on iPhone or my laptop could see them all wherever I was in the house. Since a couple of days ago (post the ISP outage - may be coincidence, maybe not!) the controller app on iPhone or laptop only sees the speakers connected to the same satellite.  Its definitely a Sonos thing as i can sit on the same laptop that cant see the speakers via the controller app and run a “ping” command to any of the speakers in the house and that command connects to them fine. I also have a printer hanging off one satellite and can print to that from anywhere in the house. Also,  If I move around the house with my phone and the Sonos app, as the phone connects to a different satellite

I have a big problem. I’m sick and tired of assistant confirms everything I ask her to. I can’t figure out how to remove “talk back” it’s been an option in the past, but now I can’t find it. Is it really not possible anymore?

When I installed my new Sonos Beam gen 2 it ended up in a separate group (vardagsrum2) from my two existing Play3 speakers that are in the group "vardagsrum". I can activate both groups at the same tme when I want to listen to music in the Sonos app, but I have not found a way to activate all the speakers in the two groups at the same time when  I use the TV. How can  I fix this annoying problem? I seem to be getting the same problem with arplay2 (works only with the beam).

My current Sonos theater set up is - ArcEra 300 surroundsSub Gen 1 My question is this- is there any real need/reason to upgrade to Sub Gen 3?   

I’m trying to add YouTube Music to my account in the Sonos 2 app as follows:Add YouTube Music. I already have an account. Add YouTube Music account Please use the following code… Authorize When I click on Authorize I get a pop-up to enter the code. After entering the code, another pop-up ask me to select my Google account to access YouTube Music on Sonos. A last pop-up ask me to authorize Youtube Music on Sonos to access to my Google Account. I click Authorize and I receive a new pop-up with Congratualtions.When I returned in Sonos 2 app, an error connexion message appear. No connexion can be establish with Toutube Music. Can you help me ? 

Ok I am having a weird issue here.  I have a sonos arc, sub, and amp. Sonos arc and sub are connected via wifi.  I have an amp located the media closet that is hard wired to my network and it’s connected to in ceiling speakers When I try to use the amp as surround, it doesn’t not work.  I tried changing music to full and increasing the volume but no luck. If I remove the amp as surrounds, I can easily connect to it and play music, no issue. I have tried to swap the amp, swap the arc, and even restart the network multiple times but no luck  Any idea whats going on and how to fix this?

So sound is cutting in and out constanly while streaming music or watching tv. The system has been in place for years with no changes.The internet is strong and stable. Sonos support was contacted months ago when the problem first started, they ran diagnostics and found no issues, but suggested a new device nearby could be causing interferance with the net work.There are no new devices nearby, i live on a rural propery with no other houses within 150m. A factory reset of all compents fixed the problem last time, but a few months later its back! Would anyone have an idea of what the issue could be?Or am i destined to factory reset every now and again!

On the Sonos website https://support.sonos.com/de-de/products/connect il looks like the connect should support the S2 app.I have an existing S2 system on my network and the S2 app suggests setting up the connection which is green blinking. But when I press the option in the S2 App it tells me that I should downgrade to S1 to connect it with my system.What can I do to connect the Connect with my S2 system or am I misinterpreting the symbols on the Sonos website.Thanks
