Project T1 SB to Era 100 - generic 3.5mm to USB-C

Evening All,

 

I have been trying to set up my new turntable and new Era 100.

I bought a generic 3.5mm to USB-C adaptor. Can’t get any sound out of the Era 100, nor see any options under Line In.

 

Removing that adaptor and connecting the 3.5mm to the back of a Sonos 5 gen 2 get everything working. For layout purposes I’d still prefer to connect via the Era 100. Is it likely to be my adaptor or some settings option I haven’t noticed in the app or on the deck?

Yes, it’s ‘likely’ your generic adapter - you really/ideally need the Sonos ADC audio adapter. See this link:

There is also the Sonos ‘combo’ adapter for those that also need to link their speaker to the LAN at the same time. See this link:
