I have a number of Sonos speakers all running S2 and on the whole they work great, but recently I've been experiencing a few annoying quirks. I should say I have a One connected to my router and then everything running from there.I used to have a One in my office and another in my extension. I moved the extension One into my office and set it up as a stereo pair, and now have an Era 1 in the extension.However, every now and again (maybe every month or so), the Office pair randomly renames itself to Extension. So I end up with 2 speakers both called Extension. So I can go in the app and rename the office one back again and it does work from there. I did try unpairing, then renaming the two Ones to be Office Left and Office Right, then recreating the stereo pair and calling it Office again. But even so it will just occasionally rename itself. The other day I started some music on it, then a minute or so later asked it to turn the volume down in the office and I got an angry clunk. Looked

I'am Italian but I live in Switzerland.My audible and prime music subscription are in italy for obvious reason.Despite my profile being correctly set in italy, the app still believes I am in Switzerland. When I try to log in to Amazon services,  it pops up the US log in page. Here I cannot switch to the Italian one.Italian support said that the profile country change should have sufficed. But clearly the app doesn't redirect me to the Italian log in.Such a mess.

Question about a possible setup with Sonos speakers. I have a Sonos AMP and 2 in-wall architectural speakers. I’m going to plug in the TV to the amp via HDMI. Not going to use a soundbar or a sub. Can I pair 2 Era 100s as rears for surround sound so all four speakees play while using the Sonos setup for TV and for music when not with the TV? Having trouble finding info on this possibility. Maybe it’s not possible with only the one AMP… but thought I’d ask the community. Thanks again!

I have a Beam and 2x Ones that I’ve used as surrounds in my living room for a few months without issue. Today my Wi-Fi network changed and I had to factory reset all three devices to reconnect to the network (the app was unable to do it for me).While I can set all three devices up, I can’t seem to add them to the same room. When I add them to “Living Room”, they come out as Living Room, Living Rom 2, Living Room 3 -- effectively each being in their own room. And when I try to add the two Ones as surrounds, it appears to be successful but then both of the Ones drop from the network and I have to set them up again.Incredibly frustrating and time consuming -- have been through the cycle of hard reset, adding to network, adding as surrounds like four times now. Is there any solution that doesn’t involve getting rid of my system entirely?

I have two moves (recently purchased one) I’ve been trying to pair them to play in stereo but having no luck! I’ve factory reset them both and updated the app but when I press the pair button on the app it says make sure the speakers are compatible … I’m at my whits end 😩😁

Two play 5’s setup as stereo,keeps falling out when playing thru turntable via pre-amp thats cabled to sonos Amp. at the same time, sonos app S2 is saying the wifi-connection is very good? any suggestions. The play5’s is in the next room 7mtr away, and never had this happening  

Hello, I very recently purchased Sonos Ace headphones. However, i’ve found that the volume is constantly too loud when listening to music. Music that I used to sleep to now averages 65-70 db at the lowest I can get it, and using the headphones is unbearable at times. It is relevant that I use an Iphone and apple music.I have tried:• Turning my phone volume down to the lowest possible amount without it cutting out.• Using the Sonos app’s inbuilt equalizer• Trying to use Apple Music’s inbuilt equalizer. Which only has customization on mac.• Using Other equalizer apps. Which don't work due to Apple music’s DRM protections.I know that the volume isn’t high enough to be damaging. But I would really appreciate any ideas on how to further decrease the volume. I find myself wanting to return the headphones only a few days after getting them even though I like everything else about them. Thank you for reading!edit: I also want to add that the high volume is an issue for most media on my device.

updated to the latest firmware today and can’t control the volume via the iPhone’s physical buttons anymore through airplay.  is this another strategic move to keep the users locked in the sonos app, and not able to control music and volume via airplay and other apps such as apple music?   

Hello All!I’m looking to connect a Beam 2 to my existing Era 100’s pair & Sub Mini. Is it possible to still use the Bluetooth on the Era’s for my main connection while still getting sound out to the Beam 2? I’ve heard I can have the Beam in its own group and then share the audio to it via connecting the groups together (would there be any sound delay with this??). Or would it be better to connect the Era’s / Sub mini to the Beam 2 and then use the HDMI to Optical to connect things to my pc? I’ve heard that there can be delays in the sound vs video if doing this…? Just looking for any tips / tricks to make everything connect together without delay as I’ll be mostly playing games and watching movies etc with the speakers (yes some music but mainly in the background). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m loving the Era’s and Sub Mini so far!

Dear Sonos, may I suggest you relaunch the s2 app immediately to allow us users to enjoy the Sonos systems we have all invested in. Currently the updated Sonos app is so bad & non user friendly it should have never been launched to market 🤷‍♂️

I was so impressed with my first Sonos Beam (2nd Gen) I recently took advantage of the 20% off and plashed out on another Sonos Beam (2nd Gen) plus 2x Era 100’s as a home theatre set.  However, I keep getting sound drops on TV/Xbox Series X but not on Spotify.  I have a Samsung UE65AU7100KXXU, fully updated on eARCSonos Beam (2nd Gen) Is hardwired to my router via Cat5e Ethernet cable Era100’s are on WiFi in the same room as my router  All speakers are updated and when I untethered the Era100 form the Beam i get normal sound (no drop). But when I reteather the Era’s the sound drops again.  The only fix I have is to turn off eARC and change to PCM. However, my other Sonos Beam (2nd Gen) works fine on eARCAlso followed the troubleshooting instructions on Sonos main site.Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong or where the problem lies?

Is sonos sub gen3 weatherproof and water proof

I’m experiencing a new issue with Sonos Controller for Mac vs 16.3.1 (build 80155014) running on Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1. I have a small home with one grouping: two stereo-paired Sonos Fives + Sub and five Sonos One SL speakers in various rooms. The five Sonos Ones intermittently cut out and go silent. The Sonos iPhone app says they’re continuing to play (the sound wave animation is showing next to the speaker’s name) but no sound is coming from the speaker. If I remove the speaker from the group and play a track that speaker, it works fine. If I add it back to the group repeatedly, it will continue to play—for a while. I’ve had this issue come up almost daily.I’ve rebooted my router and it doesn’t correct the issue. This never happened prior to the release of the current Sonos Controller for Mac vs 16.3.1. Also, when I quit the Sonos controller and play music via the Music app on my Mac, the speakers all work reliably with no cutting out, so the root cause appears to b the current Sonos

Under system settings the EQ control for a pair of SONOS ONE speakers doesn’t work. I can move the sliders but there is no effect on the sound. If I try adjust L/R balance nothing happens. Also if I set the volume limit to 90% when I leave system settings and then return it is back to ‘off’.Any clues anyone?The new app seems to be unfinished. Very poor UX and as a heavily invested SONOS user I’m really not impressed.

Der er fint forbindelse til min Sonos one højtaler men appen virker ikke. Hvad skal jeg gøre? Overall, I like the Ace headphones, especially when it comes to low frequencies: I can actually get my head to vibrate which is fun. However, I notice that no matter what video, no matter the hardware source, if I turn on spatial audio, all dialog becomes harder to hear. It’s like everyone is talking in a large space. I’m not exactly sure how to describe it with words. Echoey isn’t the right word, nor is reverb. It just sounds...not right at all. Like it’s being mixed incorrectly into surround sound I guess.And it doesn’t matter the space that the actors are in. For example, I notice zero difference if the dialog takes place outside, in a tiny closet, on an airplane: the dialog just sounds off. It’s hard to describe a sound. I guess “auditorium” is as close as I can get but that’s not quite accurate. If I turn off spatial sound, the dialog becomes instantly clear and sounds exactly the way it should (and matches what it sounds like on my system sans headphones). My setup:LG C9 TV, conn

Hi there,I am suddenly unable to group speakers. Individually they all work fine, but unable to group speakers with the most recent app. Also, “manually grouping” by holding the play button for 3 sec, doesn’t seem to work anymore. How can I make this work again ? Any help is appreciated.

I made the mistake of not copying a post, which then flashed with the red bar of moderation when submitting.I understand the need for anti-spam, unsuitable content protection and it is never 100% accurate, but as an active user is there feedback, via pm or something if it gets rejected or black-holed?I really don’t feel like typing it all out again.Sightly tangential the my replies list is missing posts I’ve made which are visible in forum topics.

 What is happening:Just unboxed my new Era 100 Installed the Sonos app for android The app finds the device, connects, and tries to update the device The update fails and the app provides no details at all, of what the problem could be The app is unusable because it forces me to update the device, I can’t do anything until the device is updated. What have I done? I have re-installed the Android app twice I have rebooted the Era 100 about five times I have rebooted my home Wi-Fi router (my phone, laptop, and iPad are all connected to the internet just fine so this was simply out of despair) I can see on my Wi-Fi router the Sonos is assigned an IPv4 and IPv6 address. I can ping the Sonos IP from my laptop I can open https://sonor-ip-here:1443/ and get a 403 forbidden response, so the Sonos is alive and connected to the network I am sitting at my desk. The Sonos is on my desk. My Wi-Fi router is on my desk. Everything is within 1 meter of everything else. I have run out of ideas. There sh

I have several pairs of Sonos speakers in my home.Since the update that was so poor a few months ago, one of my speaker pairs status lights keep turning on.I turn the setting off and they go off, but then a couple of days later, they are back on.I am not muting these speakers and I did not have this issue 3-4 months ago.If the lights are on and an update is rolled out, the status lights flash on and off for several minutes until the update completes and the status lights turn off, but some time later, they’re back on.Suggestions on trouble-shooting are appreciated.

With the latest Sonos Application, Radioplayer content is empty no Radio stations.Impossible to have Belgium Radios on Sonos Same with Calm Radio With previous versions of SONOS it was possible to add the url of a radio station.How to do with the latest version 

Is anyone else having problems with their volume levels since upgrading their app?  Since I updated to the new app all of my speakers are playing at approximately 50% of their volume level from before the update. Example:  Using my same music service the old app would be loud at level 50. Now with new app the volume level at 50 is equivalent to level 20 in the old  app. I have checked the volume limits for every speaker in the app and all are set to 100%.  I want my old volume levels back!  

I have been using my turntable with my Sonos Amp for years. I want to add a cassette deck. Obviously only one will be playing at a time. Would a simply RCA Y-splitter work so I don’t have to manually unplug and plug into the Amp input? Thanks!Adam
