Hi Sonos fam -New user since last year and am generally happy with the ecosystem and even the new app (although I am sometimes confused as to where I am exactly when swiping up or down and what thing is playing to what speaker or whatever)…There’s a lot of swiping, screens and icons and sh*t...”View System” takes you to a screen that looks nearly identical to other screens that I would also consider “viewing” the “system”...but anyway...It’s probably my most used app or at least in the top 5......now that NAS is back, I’m using it. I have a simple older SSD attached to a router via USB and it seems to be working at least at the moment. Took a lot of fiddling with my router seetings to figure out how to make it work….I find networking to be needlessly overcomplicated and over-jargonated. I’m trying to see if there is any expanded article/info on using NAS for SONOS. Trying to understand if it’s possible to play hi-res audio on Sonos Ace. Seems like bluetooth is a no-go, but I was hoping that the USB-C to USB-C connectivity would support it. However when I connect them to my Mac and open Audio Midi Setup, the Sonos Ace audio device only reports 16bit and 48kHz, and I can’t select any other option. Not sure if there is any limitation on MacOS here, and if it’s possible to use higher sampling or depth on other devices. Anyone had any success with this?The 3,5mm to USB-C adapter it’s a different mystery. From what I can understand this is a ADC adapter, and not an analoge passthrough cable using USB-C’s Audio Accessory Mode. So even if I use a DAC from the computer that supports hi-res, the signal is anyway converted back to digital using the adapter cable, and then probably ending up using the same DAC that is used for USB-C to USB-C. There is so many conversions going on in this signal path it feels like a bit of a stretch to even call it lossless (

Hi,I’m having a pretty awful time with the new updates and I am experiencing a problem that’s been plaguing me since the new updates were made. When attempting to use Airplay as I always do everything works great until I add more than 2 Sonos devices.Currently I have an Arc, Beam and Five all wired via ethernet with Wi-Fi disabled. I also have a Move on Wi-Fi with a good signal on 5ghz. Regardless of the combination if I use Airplay 2 on Apple Music to play music on more than 2 Sonos devices the song will stutter at exactly the 2 second mark of the song every time a song changes.I also have a HomePod that I can add to the mix, and that’s fine as the third device. So I can go purely ethernet with 2 Sonos devices and I’m good, I can add the HomePod and still no issues, but if I add a third Sonos device to the fray, regardless of whether it’s on ethernet or Wi-Fi, it will stutter when changing songs at the two second mark. Seriously, how do we not have support for Spotify volume normalization yet? It pretty much makes the product unusable, I'm likely going to return it all despite having just spent a fortune on it and looking forward to it. It makes the listening experience horrible, and having to adjust the controls every song does not scream premium product to me… Is there any word of a roadmap for this at all??

Why can’t the One SL be used with the S1 app? Is it because of hardware limits? Or is it because of firmware locking?

Si je lance l'application depuis la tablette cela met beaucoup de temps pour avoir la page d'accueil avec favoris et autres options. Avant le 7 Mai tout était opérationnel en 2 clics, téléphone et tablette. Pouvons nous espérer revenir à une utilisation simple, rapide et complète du système comme c'était le cas avec la version précédente ? Wondering if anyone has put sonos in their RV? What have you used?

I have a first generation Beam. Can I use either 2 Play 1 speakers with the Beam or 2 Sonos one speakers? I presume that I cannot mix them. 

One item that I really appreciated with my Bose QuietComfort Headsets is auto power off.. I had it set for 2 or 3 hours so that if I take my headset off on my desk, forget to power it off - it wont be on all night and then its dead (or close to dead) in the AM.Bose had figured out how to detect that there were no sound or activity coming from the connected device, and would power off automatically.. If I was actually using the head phones for 2 or 3 hours straight - it wouldnt automatically turn off.Really miss that feature and could have used it earlier this week.

I have gone to t mobile internet….before I had one system With an arc…2 subs…2 ones… now I seem to have 2 systems..one with arc and the 2 subs…the other with the 2 ones….sigh….with different iPad addresses…according to T-Mobile internet app…the arc is hard wired to my tv…and the ones are no longer acting as rear speakers….one is white light and one is orange light…. I would like to keep the T-Mobile with my “free” internet as a backup….the sonos app will play music if I use the old , free, unreliable internet to connect to my android cell phone or my iPad…but not if I use my new T-Mobile to connect them….

Should I be able to connect those two and swap from Beam to Ace?When I try to configure Ace to play TV sound from Beam it says that no compatible Sonos soundbar is detected. And both are on turned on and visible in the app.

The Sonos app doesn’t show “audio in”; it’s just blank on the “Sonos System Info” screen even though there is audio playing.My source is an Apple TV 4K, connected to an LG OLED TV with audio passthrough enabled, and my Sonos Arc is connected to the TV’s eARC port.When I had a Sonos Arc in the past (I recently moved and got a new one), and was using the “old” app, the input type would show on the “Sonos System Info” screen. Is this just another “bug” in the new app, or something else?Thank you in advance for your insight.

Can anyone tell me where or how to reauthorise my apple music app? My desk top app saysit needs to be reauthorised, and then says this needs to be done on my phone. I can’t see howor find instructions on SOnos Support. I am beginning to wonder if it is a casualty of the infamous May downgrade to the iOS app, or simply me not having a clue(or a complex and diffiicult interface for users who expect simplicity). I am considering an Era 100 pair for my turntable and to use as surrounds for Beam.A little background on my Sonos system: the turntable; is a Victrola stream Onix currently connected to my Sonos system via Wi-Fi. Each beam is a different room I can use to listen to records. Beam Gen 1 is the BR soundbar, Gen 2 is the LR soundbar. Yes, each Beam has a subwoofer too; a sub-mini in BR and Sub Gen-3 in LR.Era 100 question: can these speakers be used as a stereo pair for a turntable when listening to records for better stereo separation; and switch to rear surrounds with Beam Gen 2 when watching a movie easily? I also would like to use the Era 100’s Bluetooth to connect a PC, Phone, or tablet to my Sonos system. However, I read or saw if you set the Era 100s as surrounds Bluetooth and maybe line-in is lost as an option. I think I would need to add the Era pair as a room for listening to records on the Victrola stream. I think this option lets Era’s Bluetooth stay available however I think

I’m having an issue with speaker groups changing randomly. I have my turntable connected to an Amp (current version) and a new grouped speakers. Everything works surprisingly well usually, however everytime I flip a record the grouping goes haywire. Instead of Amp being the primary it switches to another speaker, even though sound is only coming from the Amp and the other speakers are silent.

I am the author of the SpotifyPlus integration used in the Home Assistant home automation software.  I am trying to figure out how to specify the call parameters for a Sonos device to the Spotify Connect ZeroConf “addUser” endpoint, which is called to login to Spotify Connect for the specified device.  I am currently using a Sonos IKEA Symfonisk (gen 2) device to test with, as well as a Spotify Premium account.A Spotify Connect Zeroconf login needs to be done programmatically so that the Sonos device can be accessed by Spotify Connect after a period of inactivity.  The Sonos device automatically logs out of Spotify Connect after the inactivity period, and needs to be re-awakened (e.g. login again) in order to be selected.In working with other vendors that support Spotify Connect (Bose, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc), they use a “tokenType=accesstoken” in the addUser parameters.  The “blob” parameter is formatted with a Spotify user-id and password value, and the addUser call successfully logs the

I purchased a single Roam last year and now want to purchase a second Roam to create a stereo pair. Problem is, I don’t know if the original one I purchased is a Roam or a Roam 2. Naturally, I want a perfect match.Is there a way of identifying which Roam I have? I show Model S27 on the base, but that doesn’t seem to be cross-referenced on Amazon.

Why is there no option to use the Sonos ace audio swap on android?This doesn't require any calibration or microphone. Why have you not added this to the app yet and more importantly when will you?The headset is great, but you have serious software issues.

How can I connect Sonos Play:5 Gen2 and Play:1 speakers to Pioneer PLX1000 or Stanton STR8 150 MK2 turntables as an addition to my speakers setup? Do I need a particular cable that connects from RANE TTM 57SL or ECLER NUO 2.0 mixer straight to the Sonos or from DENON AV to the Sonos?

Hi, I have an old 5:1 Bose system with the 5 small speakers on the wall but the Accoumastic/ subwoofer doesn’t work anymore. Are these 5 what’s called passive speakers?  Will the Amp or the Port from Sonos allow me to connect the five small speakers from the wall to the TV?  Or what sort of set up can you recommend or suggest?Any tips are much appreciated.  I would prefer not to waste these 5 speakers.  

Hi everyone,I currently have a 3.1 system: a gen 1 Beam, gen 3 subwoofer and 2-One SL’s for the rear speakers.  I am thinking of upgrading to a 5.1 system by replacing my Beam with a gen 2, and adding 2-Era 100’s.  I would love to get 2-Era 300’s instead, but not in the budget.  My question:  If I upgrade I will have 2-One SL’s and 2-Era 100’s.  Which set should be front speakers and which should be the rear? Or does it matter?Thanks,D

Where does the SONOS queue live?  I don’t think it is in the app (on device).  Does it live on a SONOS server, or locally in the speaker(s)?  This has been bugging me for a while.  Just curious.

I used to listen to my local NPR station on Sonos using TuneIn. However, now it seems I have to pay for a premium subscription to TuneIn in order to do so. Do you have any suggestions for alternative ways I can listen to my local NPR station on Sonos without using TuneIn?Thank you.
