I saw on another post that someone said the Gen3 subs would work with my Gen1 or 2 Playbar (I don’t know which version it is since I bought it second hand) if I used the SONOS S1 or S2. Are they referring to the apps from SONOS, or something else? Thank you for your response.

Sub Compatibility with Playbar

S1 (S1 controller app) and S2 (Sonos app) are the two versions of the Sonos app.
There is only one version of the Playbar. It can work on the S1 controller app or Sonos app.
The Sub (Gen 3) is only compatible with the Sonos App. If you want to use the Sub (Gen 3) with the Playbar, both devices have to be set up on the Sonos app.
