I am replacing my current system (dumb tv, a/v receiver, subwoofer amp) with a new smart TV and Sonos system. Existing equipment that I plan to keep are DirecTV box and 4 ceiling speakers in TV room (center ceiling speaker in front of tv and subwoofer are also present, but not planning on using due to limitations of new planned setup as it was explained to me).  I might re-add a subwoofer down the line, if not too costly and easy to integrate into new planned setup.  TV is currently connected behind wall to to a/v receiver, which is connected to DirecTV box, ceiling speakers, subwoofer amp, etc.  That is zone 1.There are also 2 ceiling speakers in kitchen, also connected to a/v receiver in TV room.  That is zone 2.I received a quote that was a little pricey, so planning to take on the project myself to save on labor.  Using the quoted parts list, I have purchased 2 Sonos Amps for the 2 zones. Also on the parts list is a Binary Audio Return Extender for HDMI ARC and S/PDIF (Binary B-260

The new Sonos Ace headphones won’t work with Windows 11. Device manager reports a new Unknown Device when pairing with Bluetooth or USB-C. Uninstalling, reinstalling, re-pairing, all result in the same Unknown Device. Completely unusable on Windows.

How do I disable the buttons on my playbar in the new app?

I have had nothing but issues with the latest update.  My music skips from one song to the other I will not play a full song. This latest update is horrible.

I bought the Arc to replace a Play soundbar a few months after the Arc came out. Originally it was connectect to a Sony A80J 2021 model TV and had no issues. Up until recently my system was the Arc with two One’s for rears and the Sub…the A80J went out and I replaced it with a X90L and after I got all the settings correct, everything was working but the sound was far lower than it used to be. Before, I ran the system in the mid 30’s, but now I have to run it at 60 or higher to get the same results. I have since replaced the one’s with a pair of Era 300’s hoping that would help, but it hasn't. I have Apple TV for streaming movies and like I said before, the sound is just not there. Everything is updated so I am at a loss what to try next…I’ve been through this community for a while now, trying different things and sometimes it works, but it seems to revert back for some reason…I hope someone can give me a hand getting this sorted out because I do love this system. Is there any way with Sonos to “lock” two or more songs to play in specific within a playlist or queue?  In other words, if “shuffle” is selected, can two songs be chosen to always play together despite shuffle?  (I know I can always play the same queue in the same order without shuffle - just wondering if there is any way to “lock” songs together.)

I am trying to connect my Apple tv 4k latest generation to my VU TV already working with the sonos arc.Using the ARC HDMI port on the TV to connect with the sonos arc soundbar and the normal hdmi port to connect apple tv with the VU TV.Apple TV keeps saying haven’t received any response from the television.Will the normal HDMI support this connection, or need a ARC port also for connecting apple TV to sonos soundbar.Any response will be appreciated. ThanksNikhil

HelloWhenever I start Sonos App I first get a message, that my Sonos devices haven't been found.I get 2 possibilities - Update my network-configure a new systemBut, trying to activate Sonos via Spotify, it works.Tying to open Sonos App now still shows the same picture, no product has been found.Anybody else having such troubles?I do not want to set up everything from the beginning as it works somehow, just the app does not see network/devicesThanks for help, Bettinae widget

New Sonos app, existing system. Added Amp to system, fails at registration, after successfully entering PIN and pressing the sync button. WTH… usually Sonos products are rock solid.

I have Sonos play 5 - it was not using few months - when i tried to Connect to my system - is WiFi error, cannot be update or start update and nothing happens - i contacted with Sonos chat and i got reply „we will inform You when will be update, no end date” - what I can do with this speaker I cannot use or sold. For me is not solution i have  not working speaker   

Since the app “update”, I can EITHER connect to my Sonos Roam OR my Era 100s. Before the update I could connect the whole system. I used the Roam to take my listening experience out of the two rooms that my Era 100s are located. But now, when I try to connect to the Roam AND at least one Era 100, I get a pop up that says “Unable to connect. Try again later.” Well, I’ve been trying again later for a week now with no success.  Also, the sleep timer went away with this “update.”The old app was fine! It was easy to use and had great features. Why did Sonos ruin their app?Also, the chat bot on the support website just shut down. I have had a Sonos Five for a while, and I have recently purchased a Sonor Move ( not version 2).It should be possible to play them together, right? Not necessarily as a stereo pair, but to be able to play a song, and the audio comes out of both?I am able to play each of the speakers, but when I choose the speaker, and can check off for both and click “apply”, I get the message: “Unable to connect, try again later”.I have tried all these tricks: and I have also ensured that both speakers are connected to the same wifi router.  This is supposed to work, right? What am I missing?

What in the hell did Sonos put out. Totally unprofessional, the new iOS app, while not a horrible redesign after playing with it has no more alarm service and is not intuitive and is buggy, buggy, buggy. Also, the old alarm settings seem to be embedded somewhere as they are still working, but no way to change them, which needs to be done as they were done ad hoc.  The new mac laptops app doesn’t work at all. It all doesn’t play well together.  I mean really? I am into Sonos deeply, full surround system, multiple Moves and multiple Roams, a sub, two play 5’s various Sonos Ones. I’m a loyal and longtime supporter, but this update is very unprofessional and not well thought out.  Why in the world release something I and so many others say broke there system?

I am definitely not very technically proficient, so please bear with me. I have been a Sonos customer since 2010 and have had a very large music collection on a NAS (which has changed brand over time) all the time. Now I have a WD My Cloud, which is over 10 years old. With the advent of the new app, access to my own music disappeared overnight, as you know, and I am left with Spotify. Terrible.My question is whether I might as well buy a new NAS…? I have read that SMB1 is not supported by the new app – and in my NAS settings, I can't choose between SMB variants, which leads me to conclude that it must be equipped with SMB1 - or is this pure nonsense… can I establish it somehow? So, while Sonos gets around to re-establishing the connection to local music collections in their app, should I just bite the bullet and buy a new NAS? (which today presumably always has SMB2 and 3 built-in?) - or is it a waste of money?PS: I have found that I can still listen to my NAS music via the third-party

Hi all - I am planning my AV set up for rough wiring in a new build “great room” addition on a an old 1782 farmhouse and I need some advice. The room will be a half kitchen, half sitting area, with many windows/sliders on both North and South Walls. The ceiling is vaulted 14’ at peak, 8’ at the wall with 3 old timber tresses across and shiplap wood on the ceiling. The room is 18’ wide and 30’ long. At the sitting room end will be a small raised “hearth” with bookcases on either side of a Samsung Frame TV. Most of the time the TV will be in art mode in this room. But will be a handy space for a group to watch a movie. Plus we want music available. We are not too picky about great sound (I happily watch movies on my laptop). But we obviously want to be able to hear dialog etc. We really want the Frame to look like art most of time with occasional use of TV mode. Lots of natural light coming from the South windows so love the non-reflective nature of the Frame.Current plan is a Sonos Beam

Hey Everyone, Sonos !Just updated app on iPhone 15 pro max to version 80.00.00.I have a sonos amp s2 with third party passive speakers and sub.Worked a treat before I updated today. My problem is that when I go into adjust sub audio/level it does not respond..what so ever.Toggle on/off… no difference with sub audio. It worked great prior to update, I have Jensen floor standing speakers with a 8 inch Yamaha sub (rca).Have tried everything. Any solutions ?Thanks in advance

I just received my Ace headphones and I am overjoyed so far. The one issue is that I have multiple Sonos Arc soundbars and when I go to add TV swap it is only seeing one. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,I’ve recently moved to a new property and I’m trying to set my Sonos Play:1 back up. When I plug the speaker directly into my hub by Ethernet cable, I am able to connect and play music. However, I am unable to find the product when I try to update the network settings. As soon as I unplug the speaker and move it rooms, it doesn’t work, as expected. Does anybody have a solution for this? I’ve tried using the Sonos 1 controller app but it keeps chucking me onto the newer app (S2 OS). Cheers!

I have my music library stored on an external SDD. I’ve added the folder to the music library on the Sonos app but none of the music appears. Can the Sonos app only recognise music stored in the standard “music” folder? I’m on a Mac by the way. 

The app always starts with system not found and takes a very long time until everything is loaded.

Hello. After updating to current Sonos S2 Android rev 80.01.07 on Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, both Trueplay option and surround channels distance option seem to be missing. Though being them available on previous Android versions, apart from current Sonos S2 on iPhone 13 iOS 17. 

When are you going to fix the new app?It is too slow and lags behind changes made in the interface to the point that I end up giving up using it.Why can I not use it with my own streaming device any longer (Innous)? I don’t have subscription services so basically you have converted an effective system into some expensive and pretty uncontrollable bluetooth speakers.Does your returns policy cover your app ‘enhancements’ making the product no longer fit for purpose?
