Media library on an external SSD drive (not a NAS) directly connected by USB (not to a router)

Since installing the update in May, I haven’t been able to use my Sonos speakers for the only use that matters to me: play the music recorded on an external SSD inserted in the Satechi Stand & Hub For Mac Mini (https://tinyl.io/BOh8) connected to my Mac Mini through USB. 

I followed the instructions from https://trello.com/c/wcfwIU8A/2-local-music-library But… 

Any help would be very much appreciated.

What errors are you getting?

Have you updated from SMB v1 to SMB v2 or 3?
