Trying to add a Play 1 to my system. Have done a factory reset and power cycled.
App finds the Play 1, has done an update, and my mobile connects to the temp WiFi but the speaker doesn’t play the chime. It then asks for a button press and doesn’t detect that either.
Bit stuck now. White light is flashing on top.
Any help gratefully received.

It had an outstanding update that wasn’t completing. Connected an Ethernet cable and it completed. All working fine now.
+17A flashing white LED means the speaker is still booting. Are you waiting long enough for a full boot.
