I've owned a Sonos Amp for a few years - hooked up to a turntable and via eARC for surround, running passive L/R speakers, 3rd party sub, and One SLs as surrounds. I would love to be able to complete the set up with a centre speaker, and since its not possible to connect a passive, I feel like the ability to add a sonos speaker (Ray, Beam, Era etc.) as a dedicated centre channel would be incredible. Unfortunately it seems this isn't possible currently (?), so I like to make a feature request to be able to pair an additional sonos speaker to a Sonos Amp as a dedicated centre channel (I would picture this being similar to set up as setting up surrounds with the Amp).Thanks!

Did a search but everything that came up related to using Airplay. Just interested in seeing if SONOS has or intends on developing a SONOS app like on my iPhone, iPad etc. for the Apple TV? It would be awesome to have that! 

I‘m thinking of getting 6 ceiling speakers in my open living/dining/kitchen rooms (total 60m2). However, I‘m not sure how to place them. We have no TV in the living room and generally my wife wants background music. However, I guess a stereo setup if possible would still sound more lively. Please find the layout below and excited to hear your input. my idea so far:- 2 speakers left/right of the sofa, to have nice stereo listening sound in living room- 2 speakers continuing left/right of the dining table (left matching left of living room zone)- 1 speaker (having stereo) in the kitchen (also possible to place 2, but such a small space)or should I put 4 speakers in living room?Many thanks  

Hi everyone,I’d like to raise (again) a feature request that has come up in several threads already, because it significantly affects the listening experience for people using Sonos home theater systems as their primary music system.My setup is an Arc Ultra with Sub and Era 300 surrounds. For movies and Atmos content, the system is excellent. However, the experience when listening to stereo sources over HDMI (YouTube, Spotify via PlayStation, TV apps, etc.) is honestly extremely disappointing.When the system receives Stereo PCM 2.0, only the soundbar plays while the rear speakers remain silent. Sonos currently does not provide an option to duplicate or upmix stereo channels to the surrounds for TV sources.This means that a multi-speaker system that costs several thousand dollars ends up behaving like a single soundbar for a huge amount of everyday content.What makes this especially frustrating is that Sonos already supports something very similar for music played inside the Sonos ecosy

There are old articles on here about the Roam having issues with the wireless charger and not maintaining charge. My Roam 2 is only a few months old and I assumed buying the charging bundle was the way to go.After all these years, why on EARTH have they not figured out the wireless charging bug that even Google search says is a known bug?!There should never be a situation where the speaker could sit on the wireless charging base and end up in a state where it will die and be inoperable until you physically plug in a USBC cable. It's wild this is allowed to still be an issue. 

Is it possible to install a Beam 2 soundbar at my mother-in-laws home, and still be able to control it with my Sonos app that I use at my residence for my Sonos products? (Of course I would need to be at her home with her own WiFi).In other words, Is there a way to do this with my current Sonos app that I use at my home for my products, so I may go to her residence to and control her Sonos devices, too while I’m there?Thank you.

We have multiple Port players deployed throughout our building, and some of them are connected using point‑to‑point wireless links.When we contacted support about scheduling music, we were advised to use the alarm feature and were shown how to configure it. We understand this is currently a workaround and not true scheduling. While it’s not ideal—especially for commercial environments—it does generally work.However, we recently ran into a serious issue.One of our point‑to‑point links went down, and during the scheduled time, half of the building began beeping nonstop. This caused a major disruption and understandably upset many users throughout the building.In an alarm scenario, this behavior makes sense—if there’s no internet, the alarm should still sound to wake someone up. But in a music scheduling context, this becomes a real problem. Instead of a silent failure, it creates noise in public and shared spaces, which is unacceptable in a commercial environment and negatively impacts g

My Sonos Beam is connected into the HDMI ARC port of my Samsung Frame TV.The remote has been working just fine for the first few months a I’ve had the TV. I am using the standard Samsung Smart Control remote that comes with the TV.As of about a week ago (4/14/2026) the volume on the TV has stopped working when I click the  “volume up/down button on the remote.The remote otherwise works fine, but the volume/mute features are not working anymore. Someone please help.

Hi there! I am looking for easy to set up  speakers with easy streaming for a Yoga/Pilates Studio - with good and well balanced sound across the room. Ideally, the sound quality should be the same in the whole room and not sound “cheap”. The soundsytem doesnt have to be too loud, except maybe in the “power pilates” class i turn it up a little more, but still not like a “party” atmosphere, the instructors should still be heard over the music :)The room is ~45-50m2  (5,50 x 9m).  Height is around  2,70-2,80mOne of the longer side walls is glass. Should I go for 1 Era 300 or 2 Era 100s?(Or 2 Era 300s? But little out of budget tbh) And which placement would be ideal for the Era 300 vs 2 Era 100s?Thanks in advance, i dont know much about speaker system so anything helps at this point.

Hi , I have just purchased 2 era 300 speakers and I have a play bar what is the best soundbar I should upgrade to get the best sound for mainly listening to music . thank you . 

i want to say as an avid sonos user, where i have 20+ items across multiple locations, the app still has a lot to be desired. just an hour ago, i purchased a brand new sonos amp and attempted to set it up wireless on my network. the app failed to connect to the amp and when it finally did, the amp was added but i got the dreaded message that the amp won’t be found until it is rebooted. multiple reboots and multiple resets and i still couldn’t get the amp to add. only when i physically plugged in an ethernet cable did the amp setup and begin a software upgrade process.this should be a simple basic process to add an item wirelessly. years later this app still struggles to add devices cleanly. all that and i'm not even mentioning the constant software glitches i get trying to use spotify connect with a sonos amp. it connects 1/3 of the time and when it does, i get lucky if a song plays on lossless without stopping somewhere inbetween. note my router is 10 feet from the amp. coincidentally

Hi Sonos Community,I recently adquired the Sonos Arc Ultra, and I’m absolutely loving it. It sounds phenomenal and easily fills my open-concept living area (about 50sqm).I’m now looking to expand my system and I have a specific scenario in mind. I’d like to achieve two things with my next purchase: Improve the surround sound experience by adding two rear speakers. Versatility for outdoor use: My living room opens up to a porch and garden. I’d love for these rear speakers to be portable enough so I can take one (or both) outside to act as a multi-room setup during BBQs, while maintaining great stereo quality. My questions for the experts: Is it possible—or even recommended—to use portable speakers (like the Move 2) as surrounds and then "unpair" them frequently to take them outside? If I go with Era 100s or Era 300s, how tedious is the process of removing them from the Home Theater setup to use them as a stereo pair elsewhere? What would be the best configuration to get high-quali

How do I factory reset a port device? 

For a long time, Sonos didn’t make available the alphabetic key at the side of the list of albums in my Music Library but this has since been rectified. Praise the Lord for small mercies. PLEASE give us the option to view our albums in TILE view as opposed to LIST view which is the only option available at this time. Surely this isn’t too much to ask, Sonos.

I have a TV with  beam gen2 with 2 x era 100 as surround speakers, v. happy with this setup.In another room I have my existing stereo which includes a turntable.If I buy a Sonos Port, can I take the line out(tape feed) from my amp into the port and have it stream to the sonos speakers in the other room? I don’t mind if the music just comes out of the beam or just the era 100s 

Hi,I have play:1’s, a play:3 and Playbar.I have the Sonos S1 app controller for these.I wish to add another speaker but can no longer buy play:1’s as they are discontinued.If I buy the Era 100 Sl or Era 100 can I add these to my existing set up (ie will they all be compatible with each other [the old and new ] and which app will I be able to use to control them all - the Sonos S1 app or the Sonos app? thanks in advance  

 I have two Sonos Five speakers (a stereo pair), and I'd like to improve the stereo sound in my large room (50 sq m). Which is better to add to the system: the Sonos ERA 300 (with Dolby Atmos) (a stereo pair) or the ERA 100 (a stereo pair), and what sound loss might there be? The main speakers will be the Sonos Five.

I purchased this device specifically for its "smart" capabilities over competitors' Bluetooth-only speakers, yet these features are practically unusable outside of my home network.My primary grievances are as follows:1. Failure of the "Roam" Concept:It is unacceptable that in 2026, a premium device named "Roam" cannot seamlessly manage multiple Wi-Fi networks. When I take the speaker to a friend's house or a relative's home, the device fails to adapt to the new environment.2. Forced Factory Resets: Currently, the only reliable way to connect the speaker to a new Wi-Fi network is a full Factory Reset. Forcing a user to wipe their entire configuration and system history just to change locations is an outdated and poor user experience for a modern smart device.3. Insufficiency of "Bluetooth Mode" as a Solution: While I am aware the Roam h

The short story is that I have the Arc and Sub 2.0. Everything connects, but I can only get sound out of the arc.  I've tried resetting the router, the sub, the arc.Tried putting older software into the sub, and then updating again.I've reset both sono speakers a half a dozen timesI've tried having the subwired to the router, and i've tried having the arc wire to the router, setting it up after both of them are reset.I cannot get a test sound out of the sub before I link it to the arc system.I'm using an Eero router, without issues to any other non-sonos devices. It connects and the functionality all looks correct, i can add it to the room. All the lights work properly. I've tried disabling the wifi on both units when they were hardwired, i've tried having it all set up wirelessly and disabling the sub and reenabling it. I've tried setting the sub and arc up from scratch in 2.4g & again in 5g router configurations.  I tried to contact Sonos support and failed. But have put in ticke

When I turn off tv after a period the Sonos arc appears to select Sonos radio? A lot of American dialogue and songs and Although low volume it’s crap.drives you nuts .In the radio app the volume bars are at zero and I select radio songs at volume zero it’s exactly the same.
