Hi All,I just got a Beam Gen 2 for my living room (I’m living in an apartment, so the area is not that big) and I’m loving it. I want to improve the experience, so I want to get the Mini Sub or a pair of the ERA 100.In your opinion what will make more sense to get first, unfortunately I can’t get both now.I’m only watching movies or playing music, nothing really pro or specific.Thanks for the help!

In terms of usability and speed I think Sonos should take some cues from hue and bring presets (including a widget to trigger them fast) for specific volume setups. I have all my speakers always in one large group, but I depending where I am mainly atm in my appartment I prefer this area to be a specific volume level compared to the others. It’s always the same level, so a press of a button would be the most efficient way to trigger that specific ratio of volumes levels for all speakers for my situation, but I constantly have to go back, open the app, navigate to volume sliders, fiddle with 6 different sliders, and kind of dial in the ratio I like.it’s unpractical. And it could be so much more convenient. I know there a third party apps for it. But that should be a native featute. Waiting for it for years. Pleaaaase do it. Easy feature, huge benefit.

I would like to request a software feature that allows users to quickly switch Era 300 speakers between two configurations:1. Era 300 x2 as a stereo pair for music listening2. Beam / Arc home theater setup with Era 300 x2 as surround speakersMy main use case is music first, movies second.I started with one Era 300 and was very satisfied with the sound. After adding a second Era 300 as a stereo pair, the experience became excellent. For stereo music, the soundstage, impact, and overall sense of scale were much better than expected.However, after adding a Beam and configuring the two Era 300 speakers as surrounds, the experience became less flexible. Dolby Atmos content is enjoyable and the home theater setup works well for movies and Atmos music. Hi everyone,I'm relatively new to the Sonos ecosystem and wanted to get some advice on my next upgrade. I managed to piece together my current setup entirely from the secondhand market (mostly from people relocating or upgrading):* **TV Setup:** Beam (Gen 1) + Sub Mini + two One SLs as surrounds* **Music Setup:** Two Play:1s/Ones paired in stereo (placed near the fronts)Since my TV supports eARC, I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my audio with the Beam Gen 1. I mainly watch Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+.While the current setup already sounds great, I have that lingering itch to see if I can make it even better!I’m currently stuck between three upgrade paths: looking for a used Beam (Gen 2 $450), wait for the Beam 3  or saving up for a Sonos Arc/Ultra($1600)Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences! Hi,We are midst renovating a 30s house with 2550mm ceiling height. We have a Sonos Amp and 4 ceiling speakers.Looking for a bit of advice on ceiling speaker locations for the attached plan - trying to figure out what the best option would be and it it's worth running the two pairs at 99 degrees and setting them to Duel Mono mode. It's worth mentioning that there will be a dining table and chairs going inline with the pendant light at the bottom of the plan. Thanks in advance  Pat

Recently I purchased a Sonos Ray soundbar and I’d like to expand the setup. My question is: can I use the soundbar together with a Sonos Era 100 to play a movie? I know the ideal setup would be two Era 100s, but I can’t afford both right now. Would it be possible to have sound playing through both the Ray and a single Era 100 at the same time?

Good morning,I would like to create a stereo pair for the TV at home.I like the Sonos Era, but I would also like the Alexa voice assistant.Can I buy a Sonos Era 100 and a Sonos Era 100SL? Or should I get two SONOS Era 100?Thank you.

I am in the process of converting a 6 metre x 6 metre garage into a home gym. The floor/walls/roof are all being fully insulated and plaster boarded so audio should be similar to if it was in a room inside a house. I am looking for some guidance as to what Sonos products would be best to prove a good music listening environment whilst training. In my head i was hoping to just have 2 high level speakers on one of the walls about 5 metres apart - possibly Era 100s (and could add a floor sub at a later date), but I am worried they will not be powerful enough for the 36sqm space. I do currently have 2 Sonos fives connected to a record player in a 10sqm study so could move these into the gym and replace those with era 100s. I was hoping someone out there may have had to fill a similar size area and could offer some insight 

My home is prewired for a multi zone listening system with in wall and ceiling speakers. I want a very simple system to stream music and support a Bluetooth turntable. I’m budget conscious and want to build out in phases. Can Sonos work for this?

I have just purchased Panasonic DP-UB9000 Region Free Blu-ray Player . When I try to play a 4k movie I get zero sound. The streaming apps all have sound. DVDs also have sound. 4ks zip.

We have an existing Arc which shows up in the voice assistant for Alexa. I’ve set up two new era 100 sl but they aren’t appearing in the voice assistant in settings. It says that if a product is missing, to add it in Settings But where? 

We have a Port in our office of 100 people that controls the speakers throughout the office and are wondering if there is a device SONOS sells that can be our central device for controlling the Port as opposed to everyone just controlling it off the 100 different phones?

I am just now seeing that so many other SONOS users are having the same issue as we are, Amazon Music Stations have just stopped working with some random error. Has anyone had any update from SONOS on this?  

It’s been over a year and app still has the same small view of material playing. The app is designed for an iPad, but it got a view that seems like it was designed for an iPhone. Why?  It used to be a large screen format, but that changed over a year ago now we have this itty bitty screen. Seems it’s still small so that’s why I went and downloaded SonosPad, much better. Large screen, plenty of screen to see everything at once. Sonos should look at that application, as it’s what Sonos should have done. 

Hello everyone,I have a Sonos Beam (1st generation) and a Sonos Sub, grouped under the name “Living Room” and connected to my network via an RJ45 cable. I’ve been using this system with an Apple TV for years to watch TV. I also bought this system to listen to music at home, particularly via Apple Music, but AirPlay has never worked. I have to use the Music app on the Apple TV, which means turning on the TV, or use the Sonos app on my iPhone or iPad.I’d really like to find a solution so I can finally listen to music easily via AirPlay.Thanks!

I've owned a Sonos Amp for a few years - hooked up to a turntable and via eARC for surround, running passive L/R speakers, 3rd party sub, and One SLs as surrounds. I would love to be able to complete the set up with a centre speaker, and since its not possible to connect a passive, I feel like the ability to add a sonos speaker (Ray, Beam, Era etc.) as a dedicated centre channel would be incredible. Unfortunately it seems this isn't possible currently (?), so I like to make a feature request to be able to pair an additional sonos speaker to a Sonos Amp as a dedicated centre channel (I would picture this being similar to set up as setting up surrounds with the Amp).Thanks!

Did a search but everything that came up related to using Airplay. Just interested in seeing if SONOS has or intends on developing a SONOS app like on my iPhone, iPad etc. for the Apple TV? It would be awesome to have that! 

I‘m thinking of getting 6 ceiling speakers in my open living/dining/kitchen rooms (total 60m2). However, I‘m not sure how to place them. We have no TV in the living room and generally my wife wants background music. However, I guess a stereo setup if possible would still sound more lively. Please find the layout below and excited to hear your input. my idea so far:- 2 speakers left/right of the sofa, to have nice stereo listening sound in living room- 2 speakers continuing left/right of the dining table (left matching left of living room zone)- 1 speaker (having stereo) in the kitchen (also possible to place 2, but such a small space)or should I put 4 speakers in living room?Many thanks  

Hi everyone,I’d like to raise (again) a feature request that has come up in several threads already, because it significantly affects the listening experience for people using Sonos home theater systems as their primary music system.My setup is an Arc Ultra with Sub and Era 300 surrounds. For movies and Atmos content, the system is excellent. However, the experience when listening to stereo sources over HDMI (YouTube, Spotify via PlayStation, TV apps, etc.) is honestly extremely disappointing.When the system receives Stereo PCM 2.0, only the soundbar plays while the rear speakers remain silent. Sonos currently does not provide an option to duplicate or upmix stereo channels to the surrounds for TV sources.This means that a multi-speaker system that costs several thousand dollars ends up behaving like a single soundbar for a huge amount of everyday content.What makes this especially frustrating is that Sonos already supports something very similar for music played inside the Sonos ecosy

There are old articles on here about the Roam having issues with the wireless charger and not maintaining charge. My Roam 2 is only a few months old and I assumed buying the charging bundle was the way to go.After all these years, why on EARTH have they not figured out the wireless charging bug that even Google search says is a known bug?!There should never be a situation where the speaker could sit on the wireless charging base and end up in a state where it will die and be inoperable until you physically plug in a USBC cable. It's wild this is allowed to still be an issue. 

Is it possible to install a Beam 2 soundbar at my mother-in-laws home, and still be able to control it with my Sonos app that I use at my residence for my Sonos products? (Of course I would need to be at her home with her own WiFi).In other words, Is there a way to do this with my current Sonos app that I use at my home for my products, so I may go to her residence to and control her Sonos devices, too while I’m there?Thank you.

We have multiple Port players deployed throughout our building, and some of them are connected using point‑to‑point wireless links.When we contacted support about scheduling music, we were advised to use the alarm feature and were shown how to configure it. We understand this is currently a workaround and not true scheduling. While it’s not ideal—especially for commercial environments—it does generally work.However, we recently ran into a serious issue.One of our point‑to‑point links went down, and during the scheduled time, half of the building began beeping nonstop. This caused a major disruption and understandably upset many users throughout the building.In an alarm scenario, this behavior makes sense—if there’s no internet, the alarm should still sound to wake someone up. But in a music scheduling context, this becomes a real problem. Instead of a silent failure, it creates noise in public and shared spaces, which is unacceptable in a commercial environment and negatively impacts g

My Sonos Beam is connected into the HDMI ARC port of my Samsung Frame TV.The remote has been working just fine for the first few months a I’ve had the TV. I am using the standard Samsung Smart Control remote that comes with the TV.As of about a week ago (4/14/2026) the volume on the TV has stopped working when I click the  “volume up/down button on the remote.The remote otherwise works fine, but the volume/mute features are not working anymore. Someone please help.
