I cannot listen to music with Sonos App as the source (e.g. Sonos Radio). Whenever I use Sonos Ace I only get to hear TV Audio. Why is that? It is connected to Bluetooth..
The Bluetooth connection between the app and Ace is only to control the settings, not transmit audio.
The Sonos app is not a music player. The app is a glorified remote control. Any audio stream played on speakers does not rely on the Sonos app for playback.
The Sonos app is a remote control not a music player. It does not do anything with audio, it just shows the status of the Sonos players.
I use the Amazon Music app to play music on my tablet and connect to my Ace using Bluetooth. You can also use the Amazon app on your TV to get music to the Ace.
Thanks both. So, the value add of Sonos Ace vs other headphones like Sony is zero? However I've read that there is a workaround with a bridge such that the Ace shows up like an extra room?

The unique selling point for Ace over other Bluetooth headphones is the TV Audio Swap feature.
Many were disappointed when Ace was released that it doesn’t have the ability to act as another Sonos ‘room’ to play a music stream.
You are possibly thinking of a Port with a Bluetooth TX which would then transmit the audio stream to Ace. You would use the Sonos app to select music on the Port.
I don’t have a Port, so I currently use a WiiM Pro Plus to listen to music on Ace around the house.
Sounds frustrating! It might be because the Bluetooth connection is only for controlling settings, not for streaming audio from the Sonos app.
